We read the reviews some of which were good and some were bad. We wanted a nice last minute holiday with our 2 year old and aren't fussy. The food was very average, most of it tasted them same and most nights the choice was chicken legs/wings or pork. The room was ok and clean enough but our 2yr old suffered bites which we are sure were from fleas (we didn't see any mosqitos). We couldn't eat at the pool snack bar as the tables were dirty and we were plagued with flies. We knew travelling in October the weather wouldn't be fantastic but even on the hot days we had the pool was so cold out 2yr old screamed to come out. The entertainment consisted of a movie in the basement or a live singer on a night, neither of which were very entertaining. The staff at the hotel were miserable, out of all of the bar/restaurant staff only 1 of them smiled throughout our 8 night stay, none were worth any tips. We did have a nice holiday but only because we went out all day and ate in restaurants throughout the resort most nights. We also found the cot service disgusting, wherever we have been before you could request a cot for an infant/toddler. Yes, here you could but you had to pay 9euros per night, other guests we met had their infants sleeping in their buggies because of this. I understand why the hotel can afford to have all inclusive drinks, they don't put alcohol in them. The drinks were so poor, it would be impossible to get drunk. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone.

I READ THE REVIEWS BEFORE I BOOKED MY HOLIDAY AND WENT WITH AN OPEN MIND.I WAS WITH MY MOTHER WHO IS 61,I AM 41 WE ARE GEORDIES SO WE ARE NOT STUCK UP OR SNOBS.WHEN WE ARRIVED IT WAS REALLY COLD,NOT THE HOTELS FAULT,WHEN WE WENT INTO OUR ROOM IT WAS LIKE THE NORTH POLE,YOU COULD SMELL THE DAMP,WE OVER LOOKED THE POOL BUT WE IN THE BASEMENT SO THE ROOM NEVER SAW SUNLIGHT.THE STAFF AT THE HOTEL WERE BLOODY AWFUL,THE BAR STAFF WHERE CREEPS,AND DANNY DIVITO LOOKALIKE(BAR MANAGER)MADE MY SKIN CRAWL.THE STAFF IN THE DINING ROOM WERE THE COMPLETE OPPOSITE AND WERE ALWAYS PLEASANT.THEN THERE'S THE MAIDS WELL WHAT CAN I SAY!!!!!!!! THE BREAKFASTS WERE OK.CEREALS,TOAST,ROLLS,JAM FRUIT ETC.THE FRIED EGGS COULD BE USED AS FRISBEES THEY WERE SO OVER COOKED.
LUCHES WEREN'T TOO BAD,SALAD(WHICH WAS ALWAYS FRESH)CHIPS(LOADS OF HARD ENDS LIKE YESTERDAY'S WARMED UP)SOME OF THE FOOD YOU COULDN'T MAKE OUT WHAT IT WAS(ANIMAL,VEGETABLE OR MINERAL)NOTHING WAS LABELLED.IT WAS ALWAYS HOT THOUGH.
DINNER MUCH THE SAME AS LUNCH TIME,OFTEN LUNCH TIME LEFTOVERS HEATED UP AND SERVED AGAIN.
THE POOLSIDE BAR WAS ABSOLUTELY FILTHY,HOW NO-ONE GOT FOOD POISONING FROM THERE IS BEYOND ME,WE NEVER HAD A THING FROM THERE APART FROM A DRINK,WHICH WAS SERVED IN A MANKY PLASTIC GLASS,WHICH IS FINE BY THE POOL,BUT NOT IN THE BAR AREA AND AS FOR GETTING A HOT DRINK IN A PLASTIC GLASS,THE MIND BOGGLES.
THE FREE BUS AND TRAIN IS PROBABLY THE BEST THING THIS HOTEL CAN OFFER.

FOR ALL OF THESE THINGS WRONG WITH MY HOLIDAY WE STILL HAD A BRILL TIME,HOWEVER WE WILL NOT BE RETURNING.LIKE SOME OF THE REVIEWS SAID IF YOU WANT 5* YOU HAVE TO PAY FOR IT.

Ignore all the bad reviews on here, these people don't understand value for money. We paid £250 for all inclusive and I like everyone else was really worried after reading some of the reviews on here but I would definitely go back!! We got back yesterday (18.10) and had a fantastic time. The hotel was clean!!! There were people cleaning everywhere around the hotel. Ok beds weren't changed but I certainly don't clean my beds at home everyday of the week either. The rooms were cleaned daily with fresh towels. Also people who complained about flea bites, none of my party were bitten all holiday!!!

The food was a bit repetitive, chips, pasta, chicken, pork etc everyday but it was decent food and for the price I definitely wouldn't complain. I don't really undestand the comment on here about pigs ear, my boyfriend is a butcher and is very fussy about his meat but he never had any complaints. We were never ill from the food either which was a concern.

The hotel staff are very friendly and helpful but like someone else said before you have to be friendly to them back otherwise why should they give you respect. We got on very well with the staff and they all came to say goodbye when we were leaving. The kids club is ok, not much time with the kids really but if you have confident outgoing kids they will have a ball because they get to play and make new friends. I don't know about the comment on unruly kids, after all they are on holiday so I don't no why parents would wanna restrict their children too much on holiday. As a teacher I thought it was great seeing all the different kids getting together from different parts of the world and making new friends. I think the all inclusive aspect allows the children to have some more freedom and independence which is one of the best things about being on holiday as a kid, i remember!!! If you need constant entertainment and aren't just content with being on holiday with the ones u love and making your own entertainment or meeting new people then go elsewhere.

People who complained about all inclusive not being 24h for all food and snacks need to get over it. This was detailed in my tour operators description of the hotel so if it wasn't in yours you need to complain about the tour operator not giving you full information not the hotel! Free bus into town is great and hotel helpful for excursions or giving advice on going to other places. We had a great time at Barcelona Zoo. Also the man on the train ride through the mountains is very funny and entertaining. We really enjoyed going through the mountains to see the "real spain" even if some people consider this to be 'run down.'

If you are just outgoing down to earth people who just want a fun holiday in a lively and FRIENDLY hotel then go for it. If your standards are a little high then I suggest you go elsewhere and be prepared to pay more because the quality for money here is brilliant and I would definitely go back. Also I never met any unhappy people on our trip and we got talking to lots and lots of people.

If you expext cleanliness then this hotel is not for you..........................I booked as it has had quite a few good reports not sure if these people stayed at a different hotel !!!!



We have just returned form the Santa Susanna resort, we were expecting basic accommadation as we only paid £275 each AI including transfers, but dear god nothing could have prepared us for what we got. The place is on the side of the motorway yes there are free busesand mini trains every 30 mins but try to get on a one the last bus back is 10.00pm and trying to get a taxi is a joke, my husband has problems with his legs so it was really too far for him to walk.

I have never seen so many unruly kids, their parents were sitting drinking themselves into oblivion and letting the kids run riot, it was embarassing to admit being british.

Meals I have had better but we always found something to eat even it was just pasta or chips, BUT after 9pm there was no food available on the all inclusive programme you had to pay if you wanted a toastie or pizza. After breakfast you had to pay for cofee until 10 am, after lunch (not that we ever had it) there were no snacks available until 3 pm unless you paid we had these once the bread bun was so hard you couldn't bite it and the bread was really stale. The barstaff were more interested watching the girls than serving and I mean 12 and 13 years olds which was disgusting had it been my children I would have complained.

The genuine people who had families were all of the same opinion it was the pits.

I asked to change rooms as we were on the basement and I had requested a pool view once again I had to pay 20 euro's 1 lady was charged £80, the bed was not changed once I am covered in flea bites off the bed, the bathroom was never cleaned and the floor was never swept we did get clean towels everyday though WHOOPEE, 1 couple on the same flight as us had money stolen out of the room.

If you want a remote for the television it costs 30 Euros's, yes you get ot returned at the end of your stay but some people won't budget for extras and by god this hotel likes to charge.

I would say to anyone who is considering going please dont, I am not one of those people who expect 5* hotels for 2* prices prices but I do expect cleanliness.

I would say this is full board with drinks I have never had to pay for coffee/tea with all inclusive and food has always been available from breakfast until midnight.

this is the only hotel and part of spain that i would never return to ! i had read some good and bad reviews before visiting this hotel and went with an open mind, just arriving outside at first glance i thought OH MY GOD then thought well maybe the hotel will be ok just because the area arround the hotel looked like old allotments i thought its whats inside the hotel that really matters but i am afraid to say it was awfull !!. I am no snob in april this year my family had a great time in another 3 star hotel in spain and we cannot fault it at all thats why we cannot believe the difference WHO GRADES THESE HOTELS ? we are not fussy eaters but the food was disgusting we spent most of our money eating out, the final straw was pigs ears YES THATS RIGHT PIGS EARS !!!! It deffinately was we buy them for our dog they had a crispy coating on an we knew by the shape and held it up to the light and could see all the veins in it my friend was nearly sick as she had already eaten a mouthful. not one day of our stay could we get round the pool and wat a pig sty area that was too. evening entertainment ok went to bed early as not enough chairs for us to sit and watch it also our rooms faced the supermarket car park noisy and lights pored into the room all night and annoncements being maid over a tannoy every ten mins also staff riding motorbikes arround early hours. this is the only hotel i have ever stayed at that u dont get a tv remote in your room unless you pay 30 euro deposit .this si just a few problems with the hotel i could write much more so if its not too late to change you choice of hotel i would strongley suggest doing so i wish someone had warned me . when i read how lovely the rooms were i thought i must be looking at wrong hotel as our room was filthy and there was burn holes in the top covers .awful place.

Ok well lets get one thing straight, if your looking for a quiet holiday with 5 star surroundings and gourmetfood this is not for you!

However, if your looking for a great family hotel then this place is excelent! The staff are freindly (as ong as your freindly to them, which is understandable!).



The food can get a bit samey but is always hot and a good selection plus theres plenty of it ;-), we found ourselves eating just because we could!



The kids club at first looked a bit gloomy but our son loved it and to be honest if it was sunny he wanted to go swiming with us anyay.



The hotel is spotless! there are always cleaners moping floors and cleaning rooms.



The bar is great, you can get anything from Larger to hot choclate with brandy through to orange juice and coke for the kids, plus its all included and your not limited to the drinks you get. only down side is that you can only get two at a time.



The pool is great although a bit cold but you climatise after a few minutes. The bar by the pool serves drinks and hot dogs, burgers and toasties from 10am to 6pm.



As i said before the staff are very freindly and even let us borrow some towels to use at the swiming pool after we checked out!



Overall this is a great place for kids as there's lots for them to do and the train to the beach is great fun for the kids. For what you pay for this hotel you can't complain its cheap and its really designed for familys with kids. If you don't want kids running around the swimming pool (the same as most peoples kids do), don't go to a family resort!!! simple as that.



Had a fantastic holiday here and will be going back in May.

WE STAYED AT THE SANTA SUZANNA RESORT IN AUGUST 2008(THIS IS MY 2ND STAY). MYSELF MY PARTNER AND OUR 3 BOYS AGED 11, 9, AND 3. WE HAD A FANTASTIC TIME. THE FOOD WASNT 5 STAR BUT IT WAS TASTY HOT AND THERE WAS A VARIETY. THE STAFF WERE NICE SOME NICER THAN OTHERS BUT WE ARE ALL HUMANS YOU KNOW! THE HOTEL WAS SPOTLESS, AND AS PER OTHER REVIEWS THE ROOMS WERE ALITTLE SMALL BUT AGAIN THIS ISNT A FIVE STAR HOTEL! MUST ADMIT ENTERTAINMENT WAS A BIT PANTS, BUT THERE WAS SOMETHING ON EVERY NIGHT. WE ARE A WORKING COUPLE WHO WANTED A FAMILY HOLIDAY IN THE SUN THAT WE DIDNT HAVE TO TAKE A LOAN OUT FOR AND WE COMPLETLEY ENJOYED IT. I MUST ADMIT THAT MY PARTNER HAS TATTOOS AND HE ALSO WORE A FOOTBALL SHIRT WHILE WE WERE AWAY SO SORRY FOR ANY OFFENSE THAT CAUSED TO ANYONE! I MUST AGREE THAT THE 2 PER PERSON DRINKS WAS A PAIN ESP WITH OUR 3 YR OLD BUT THEY SAY THE REASON BEHIND IS SO PEOPLE DONT SPILL DRINKS ON ROUTE TO THEIR TABLES FOR SAFETY REASONS-FAIR ENOUGH! Have just returned after a weeks break (Husband and wife )(Both just turned 60), Very clean Hotel, varied food buffet excellent, staff attentive. I would recommend this hotel as value for money. We were originally allocated room in old part of hotel (Rooms 001 to 009)(Don`t take) directly below bars etc very drab and noisy. Were transferred to new part of Hotel (4th floor) rooms first class. Towels etc changed daily. Numerous families within hotel but noise kept at a minimum. Hotel provides bus and road train to beach every half hour FREE. Takes 10 minutes. You can walk to beach and Train Station via farmers field Footpaths at rear of hotel also in 10 mins. Train station has trains to Barcelona (Cattalenya) Barca town centre every half hour costs 6.40 euros return takes just over an hour. So all in all a good holiday destination make sure room in new part of hotel. I booked HOLIDAY TAXIS.COM for our transfer from Barcelona Airport to Hotel, kept waiting for over two hours at Barca airport

for other travellers going to hotel cost £57.60p return would have been better of in train quicker and cheaper

Please please do not go to this hotel. Where do i start. This is one of the worst hotels i have been to. I went with an open mind after reading the reviews. Boy was I wrong.!!!!!!!!!1



FAMILY HOTEL ERRRRRRRRRRR NO!!!!!!!. tHE KIDS CLUB IS A DARK ROOM DOWN BY STAFFS ROOMS. THEY PUT ON A DVD GIVE THEM SOME PENS AND PAPER AND TOYS THEN SIT AND CHAT. MINI DISCO IN EVENING IS 5 SONGS AND A CD PLAYER. THAN EVENING KIDS CLUB IS A FILM LIKE ROCKY !!!!!!!



ENTERTAINMENT _ THERE IS NONE. OH YES HAD 10 MINUTE PARROT SHOW ALL WEEK. MOST OF THE TOIME THEY JUST WANTED TO TAKE PICTURES OF YOU WITH PARROTS AND SELL THEM TO YOU.



THE STAFF LOOK AT YOU LIKE DIRT WHEN YOU ASK FOR ANYTHING AS IF IT IS TOO MUCH BOTHER. FOUND A COUPLE OF THEM VERY SLEEZY TOO. LIKE TO LOOK AT YOU AND MAKE DIRTY COMMENTS.



FOOD _ WELL IF YOU LIKE PORK THEN GREAT LOTS AND LOTS AND LOTS OF PORK. BECAREFUL TO AS THEY SAY SOME DISHES ARE BEEF WHEN IN FACT IT WAS LIVER. MY 1 YR OLD DID NOT EAT ALL ALL THERE. MY 6 YR OLD ATE CHIPS AND SO DID THE 5 YR OLD.

BAR AT POOL THAT SERVES BURGERS AND HOT DOGS MADE ME LAUGH THE BEST. IF THEY RUN OUT OF BATCHES WHIBH IN FACT ARE CRUSTY COB BATCHES THEY SERVE IT ON BREAD STALE BREAD!!!!!!!!!



YOU ARE ONLY ALOUD TO GET 2 DRINKS AT A TIME OR SNACKS WHICH WAS A NOGHTMARE AS I HAD TO GO UP 3 TIMES JUST TO GET US ALL A DRINK.



ROOMS_ OK CLEAN WHEN ARRIVED. TOWELS PUT IN EACH DAY AND BIN EMPTIED AND BED MADE. BUT THATS IT . DID NOT BRUSH OR MOP ONCE IN 7 DAYS.



POOL GETS VERY BUSY WITH KIDS RUNNING WILD. I KEPT MINE WELL UNDER CONTROL!!!!!!!!!



NO AIR CON IN ROOMS AT ALL____ HAD NO SLEEP FOR 3 NIGHTS TRIED TO SLEEP ON FLOOR AND BALCONY STILL FAILED. FAR TO HOT TO SLEEP AT NIGHT. IN END GOT A FAN TO KEEP ME COOL WHICH YOU HAVE TO PAY TO HIRE!!! ONE NIGHT I COULD RING OUT SWEAT FROM MY BABIES TOP IT WAS THAT HOT !!!!!!!!

Well were do i start i booked this hotel after reading the reviews, and was worried to say the least.Now i am not stuck up or anything,just me and my other half and two kids wanting to get away,so i will tell u like it is.Well arrived to the santa susana and the hotel was'nt that bad,nice a clean so i thought.The Hotel is just set back from the moterway but it is not that bad, there is a supermarket next door and i think thats it.There is a free bus or train which takes you to the beach which is good .The foods fine it gets a bit boring after a bit but its only 3*,plenty of salads , fresh fruit chicken nuggets chips .The snack bar serves burgers, chips and toasties .The staff a friendly most are from India,the beds was made every day but was not cleaned once in 10 days.The intertainment is ok if you like kareoke , but for a 5 & 6 year old there was nothing except a kids club in the basement, and if like me you don't like you're kids wondering off, don't expect any one at the club to stop them,But to be fair we did enjoy our holiday, its what you mke it at the end of the day,and we did meet some lovley peolpe there.And after all the kids loved it and thats all that matters.Would not recommend it if you have small kids.Top tips., Visit marine world, don't buy anything from the shop onsite,beware of the beach the sands really hard to walk on, and the sea is very deep as soon as you get in to it. Like many others on this site i looked at the reviews after booking the holiday, i was a bit worried but the holiday was booked so no turning back now, it was the first time we had ever gone all inclusive and i am a very very fussy eater. there was just myself and my husband on this trip, we arrived at the hotel and first impressions were that it looked like a skiing lodge. The rooms were adequate, we had 3 beds in ours, a wardrobe, dressing table and bedside cabinet, the bathroom was nice and clean and the balcony was a good size, after all we were on holiday and how much time do you really want to spend in your room. The meals were very good for the price we paid and i always managed to find something to eat which was a plus for myself, breakfast was always more or less the same a choice of cereals, tomatoes fried eggs then every other day either boiled or scrambled eggs also, sausages, beans toast or fresh bread rolls, bacon which i didn't enjoy as it was not like the bacon we have in the UK.

also there was coffee, tea and three choices of fruit juice, grapefruit, orange or tutti fruity. lunch and dinner was also very good with a soup starter, salad bar, vegetables, a choice of potatoes then there was at least one meat dish, a fish dish and a pasta dish, for the children there were chicken nougats, fish fingers and sausages. Deserts were angel delight in various flavours, cake, ice cream and fresh fruit. We had no complaints with the staff if you are friendly to them they are friendly back and they worked very hard to keep everyone happy. And as for some reviews saying the cleaners were bad omg what do they want, the cleaners started work way before we went to breakfast on the outside areas and were still working way into the evenings as soon as any drink was spilled they were there cleaning up after people i really cannot see how they could do any more.

Although some people were not happy with the local lager we did not have a problem with it and there were plenty more drinks to try. The snack bar was great there were hamburgers, hot dogs, toasted sandwich, and chips.

The free transport down to the sea front was an added bonus with a choice of mini bus or small train every 20 minutes.

If i had any complaint at all it would be the pool area, although the rules stated no lilo's or similar inflatables there was no member of staff to enforce this rule and some days there were more inflatables in the pool than people making it very over crowded this forced us to go down to the beach and leave the hotel more often than we would of liked to. There were a few out of control children but after all that was bad parenting rather than the hotel staff.

Over all we had a very enjoyable holiday here and would return in the future.

Please note that my rating is based on the Cost of the Holiday - £1400.00 for 2+2 in School Holidays.



We have been back a week now and we really do miss being there.



Yes, the rooms are on the small side but for a week sleeping only in there - no worries!



The Pool was perfect for people with kids as you could watch them from any point around it. Yes there were people pushing each other in but only people they knew and lets be honest - every pool in every resort has a bit of that!



The food was very good. Every day there were good choices of either meat, fish, veggie & loads of Pasta & Salad. Chips every day too!



The staff were great. If you have young kids some of them really played around and made them laugh. One thing we did notice was alot of Brits never said please or thank you and that seemed to grate with them. Say please & thank you and they could not do enough!



Entertainment was not fantastic but varied. We had Kids Disco, Kareoke, Parrot Show, Flamenco Dancers, Live Bands - All in all - Good Times!



Cleaners outnumbered guests almost 2:1 - they were everywhere. One thing I keep reading in the reviews is "Sheets not changed daily" - GET A LIFE! do you do this at home???



I recommend this Hotel to young families and couples just wanting a break for a week - you'll hae a blast.

after reading all other comments on here we thought we where wastin our time going!! but hey i was starting to wonder if we had gone to the same hotel!! food was good it was aways hot and there was plenty of it! the hotel was just out of reach of the main town so it was quiet in the evenings! but the great thing was there was a free bus or train that would take you there and didn't matter where you where if you wanted a bus to take you back they would always stop for you every time!!! we would like to know what some people expect from a holiday!!! the hotel was clean and everywhere you went someone was always cleaning! we would go back again!!!!!

My daughter and i spent the bank holiday weekend there.All in all had a great time mainly due to the friends(gill and alan) we made there.Food was good for the time we were there,but others there longer found the meals repetative,whatever you do do ask for a room with a balcony in the new build preferably second floor. AT first we were put in room 007 ground floor in old building-dark and dingy and had small window that only opened inside.no fresh air in room unless window open -not good at night for security .couldnt change room for two days (at a charge )due to hotel being fully booked .Attic rooms -we were told you couldnt even stand up in them properly.bring your own hairdryers,soap,shower gel, beach towel-everything else can be hired at a charge fans, safes, fridges, irons-in laundry room.get up and have your own beach towel out by half eight when the pool man unlocks the sunbeds,or youll not get one.

Staff were always cleaning the place .rooms were cleaned daily to a very high standard.All the staff were so friendly and helpfull except one (the receptionist from hell)youll know her when you see her!theres always something happening better than a series of benidorm-always some drama going on with the guests. hotel entertainment wasnt even a close second.Entertainment nothing to write home about.would i go again .....NO
