Santa Susanna Resort Hotel

This hotel is like Blackpool, but without the style. This is not though, solely the fault of the hotel or Cosmos.
Brits abroad, when faced with "free" booze are a nightmare. 99% of the people were pot bellied, tattooed, football shirt wearing, loud, boorish & obnoxious. That’s the men & the women.
Avoid this place like the plague, unless you are one of the above types. Its no wonder the British have such a poor reputation in Europe.

I have read the other reports from holidays taken this year and I cannot see how people could actually say it has improved! There was the odd person there saying the hotel was OK but the vast majority were discussing how to complain when they got home.
The bar staff were friendly as were the entertainment staff but beyond that everyone else was awful.
The man in charge of the dining room looked like a small dirty sweaty vagrant. I saw him scrape food from the buffet side into a pile and then flick it into a bowl of salad and mix it up for the next unsuspecting person to eat. Mind you he would have probably got more food from his tie!
The rooms were small and kept clean but they were unbearably hot. Fans were available for 12E a week a small fridge for 20E p/w (advertised as optional minibar).
As there so many kids there I was not too surprised that the pool sometimes smelled a bit dodgy.
Overall the standard was very low and I would not go there again.

Never would I go there again, the room in which my partner and I were put in was too hot, there was no air conditioning, and it smelt to which I complained on several occasions but nothing was done about it.
Beside the pool it smelt of sewage and put me off going down there, also whilst we were there our room was next to the sewage pipes and the smell was unbearable. My partner ended up in hospital whilst there, for bites. We had no towels for 2 days and when we did get them there was a massive hole in one of them.
The food was ok but on one occasion found mouldy bread at breakfast time. The hotel entertainment wasn’t up to scratch, and also if you wanted food after 9pm you had to pay for it, which was wrong as it was all inclusive or meant to be. The best part of the holiday was going home and was heaven once we had left.

Don’t believe the hype!! Just got back yesterday from a fantastic break to this EX holiday from hell hotel. Notice the EX, all I can say is that whatever was going on when it was featured on holidays from hell has been well fixed.
The food was a higher standard then I have ever received on an all-inclusive holiday and believe me I’ve been on quite a few. I travelled with m husband and 3 children aged 4/9/10 and they loved it! Yes the room was rather small but it was spotless clean and there’s that much going on at the hotel day and night that the only time we went to the room was to sleep.
Daytime activities for children ranged from swimming lessons, football, and trips to the beach and a Disney film every day plus many more activities. For adults there were boules, water polo, darts the list is endless and all this was provided for free from the onsite hotel entertainment team. And must say they were fantastic with children of all ages.
Evening entertainment was quite low key, such as, an English duo singing well-known songs that they encouraged you to join in with. Mini disco for the children again with the entertainment team, teaching them the dance moves to party songs. I never normally review anything but after seeing the reviews on here I just had to put the record straight. Yes maybe it was a bad hotel but on this occasion it was a great hotel.

People do moan !!! Both my husband and me went here on a cheapy and it was great I am now planning to come back with my 3 children. Ok the entertainment wasn’t great but make your own your on holiday for god sake !!!!!! The rooms were basic but good enough you only sleep in there and they were very clean too. The sheets were changed every morning & towels. The beer and food was great and the pool area was lovely, it’s a nice place to go and I will be going again soon.

ON arrival we were a little disappointed as there was Karaoke going on the bar that was right next to the check in desk, but the next morning everything seemed fine.
I have NO complaints about this resort what so ever, everyone was extremely friendly and helpful, the kids were kept entertained all week with swimming lessons and games in the pool while the adults were kept amused by pool side games.

Everywhere was extremely clean and I for one witnessed the pool being cleaned every morning. Food was just fine and there was a good selection to choose from.

I will be going back to this resort....top marks!!

I don’t now what this other people are talking about that it’s a “Holiday from Hell”, they must have been on another planet. We were in a party of 12, 8 adults, 3 children and a baby of 4 months. The kids had a fabulous time and did not want to come home; all the adults had a good time to. The only downfall was the entertainment could have been a little bit better in the evenings, but it’s what you make of it and we all enjoyed ourselves. This is a great place to take children they all enjoyed themselves. I was really frightened to go at first when I had found out that it had been featured on “Holidays from Hell” but don’t know what they are talking about.

I went to this place Oct 03 and would never go again. Food was rubbish, i lived on chips and gravy! The food may have been cold but the dining room was too hot, it had no air conditioning.
The bar staff were doing nothing but looking at the 16 year old girls and were very rude!!! While I was on holiday a couple of people we got talking to had a few things including clothes stolen from there room, also I heard this was not the only time when the people went to main desk to report the theft they were told to keep things in the safe provided. Their argument was how am i going to get my clothes in the safe?
This place is a dump, all staff rude apart from one english lady who was very helpful, we came home 2 days early and so did many others, I would never rate this hotel please check it out before you book.

On arrival we were a little disappointed with regard to the size of our room - our party consisted of daughter, 2 young children ages and myself 6 and 3. We were booked for a week - found the hotel very clean. Bar staff not very friendly, food not very appetising - but children did not seem to mind - plenty of it. Staff in restaurant friendly - entertainment not too good. If you don’t expect too much you will not be disappointed - I think it was children friendly - I intend going again soon - with one grandchild as I did feel quite safe - pools were clean. Reception staff quite helpful. I think most of the people staying were British - what we paid varied - I don’t think some of the prices paid were justified as I say - everything was quite basic - but would go again.

Absolutely awful!!! We found dead rats in the children’s play area and reported it 3 times then ended up moving them ourselves the food was terrible and the smell towards the dining area was awful - for the second week we never ate a meal in there...entertainment was minimal and outdated and we had children running up and down the corridors all night it was a long walk to the beach and the smells on the way were disgusting. The ice creams were meant to be inclusive but they were stopping the children having them and kept running out. Staff were very unhelpful. The only decent things about the holiday was the room was clean the kids club were excellent AND GOING HOME!!
