We stayed in this Lodge for one night as we were flying from Bristol Airport at 8pm the next morning.
The receptionist was very polite and very informative on our arrival.
Our car was put in a secure car park for the duration of our holiday, which gave us peace of mind.
Our room was on the ground floor, which catered for your every need. Large Room with one double bed and one single. Iron/ironing board, trouser press, telephone, and tea/coffee making facilities with biscuits included.
Bathroom - Bath, shower, hand basin, toilet. Shower gel, soap etc. heated towel rails, so we had lovely warm towels.
We had a small meal in the Bar, which was ok. the service was good.
We asked for a wakeup call at 5am.
The downside - We had no sleep whatsoever, ok, this was a travel lodge, and people come and go! All night we could hear people talking loudly, laughing and suitcases being pulled over the cobbles. It was the worst night’s sleep we had ever had. One night was enough, more would have been torture.
The phone rang at 5am as requested. The taxi came for us promptly at 5.30am.
We were given a ticket to produce on our return to Bristol Airport, a taxi would be ordered for us to take us back to the Town and Country lodge to collect our car. On our arrival at Bristol Airport to say the least we were cold having arrived from a hot country. I took the ticket to the taxi office who in turn ordered a taxi, we had to wait for nearly 30 mins!! freezing cold. The taxi took us back to collect our car, when my husband went to the reception to collect the token to get the car out of the car park, he told me he wasn’t even asked for any identification. Secure Car Park!!
This cost us £102.00. One night room only, car park, plus taxi to and from the airport, the airport was 3.8miles from the lodge. We didn’t think the room was worth the amount we paid.
I don't think we shall use the Lodge again.
