Submitted By: john51not a lot more i can say about this hotel, the new rooms that have been added are fabulous, the food i think this year was better ( more choices )the turkey was as big as an ostrich,,im not joking...the tuna was awesome...and the dessert table just had to be admired..if you have a sweet tooth you will think youve died and gone to heaven when you see the choices...
4 a la cartes..1 turkish which was closed,1 fish with calamary to die for and sea bass.1 italian very nice, and 1 chinese (my fav)try the canton veal it comes on a sizzler plate..all the staff are very friendly and speak quite good english,
try and learn a few words of turkish it goes a long way, after all your in there country...
i went to the gym ( just to check it out )and all the equipment was working, yes there are a lot of russians in the hotel ...but whatever hotel you choose ..i bet they are full of russians as well...
this hotel will be in thomas cook . first choice ,and youtravel ,brouchers this year..as they want more english guests..
i spoke with the owner just before i left and he was telling me ,if you book before the 15 january 2009 you will get a 20 per cent discount, after that date the discount drops...so book early you wont be dissapointed...
we managed to get a red door room again this year, dont be afraid to ask for an upgrade ,if its available youll get it...dont forget if you want branded drinks you have to ask for them, otherwise they will give you local brands, also champagne is free ,as is your mini bar in your room ,
( soft drinks only )1xcoke,1xorange,1xsprite,and 2xwater....
i cant fault this hotel its like a good cheese it gets better with age,,

Submitted By: Mrs S BaxterThe gym was not very good as alot of the equipment was broken and there was only one threadmill .
We had a turkish bath in the hotel on the first day of our holidays and would highly recommend this service. I also got to use the Hair Salon on a few occasions over the holidays and must say my Stylist was very professional and the French Manicure was great value.
The waiters by the pool were very friendly as well.
On the whole we thought the hotel was great, but would have preferred a hotel with a few more English speaking guests as most of the Sea Light hotels guests were Russian .

Spa is well worth a visit and the staff were very pleasant.
We stayed half board ,cause i personal couldnt stay in the resort the whole time.
Good resort for children.
Overall the hotel was very clean and pool were quite pleasant. Location was nice but a little out of the town.

Submitted By: Ms Sue BThe pool area was excellent with plenty of sunbeds and umbrellas for the shade. Every evening the staff would wash down the sunbeds ready for the next day. The water temperature was spot on and the food at the pool bar for snacks very tasty. Our room, although having twin beds, was on the 3rd floor and overlooked the pool with a great view of the sea too. The air conditioning in the room was very good and easy to work (for a non teckie like me). For the whole week, we really felt we didn't need to leave the hotel and only went into Kusadasi town for the weekly market and to go on a boat trip. Ladies Beach is about a 10 minute walk away which is a bit hilly but does you good after scoffing all that lovely food. The lift to the beach was still not operable but the buggy operated very regularly and if you did have to wait, there was always the beach bar to have a little snifter in.
The shops in the lobby were good, but a special mention should go to the jeweller there, Diva. I bought a beautiful set of 14 ct diamond rings which were hand made to my specifications and ready within 2 days at a great price. He also made another of my rings larger at no extra cost. If you're there, do visit the shop as the prices are extremely reasonable and nothing is too much trouble.
A great first visit to Turkey and would highly recommend this hotel/resort as living up to it's 5 star rating.

Submitted By: john51This hotel was all I expected and more, booked as a surprise 25th wedding anniversary present for my wife. We certainly were not disappointed.
We arrived at 6am checked in and were asked if we would like anything to eat or drink from the 24hour bar, being a bit tired we declined, we were taken to our room on the 6th floor which was great as I had asked for a top floor room, and unbeknown to my wife I also asked for the honeymoon suite, which we got. Her face was a picture when she saw the room, large round bed, flat screen TV on the wall, a basket of fruit, cakes, chocolates, and a bottle of champagne on ice, oh and a jacuzzi as well just to finish it off.
Games room: All you would expect from a new hotel 2 pool tables 1 billiards table, 2 tenpin bowling alleys, and a big flat screen TV. Also on the same floor is a medical centre, and one of the most impressive gyms I’ve ever seen all computerised. Still on the same level is the Elysion spa run by two friends of mine from the Tusan beach hotel, Lavant and Serdar, this spa has it all sauna, steam room, hammam, lovely pool, pedicure-manicure room, a fusion bath, infra red electro therapy tunnel, water capsule, milk bath ,hot stone massage, the list goes on...try a foam skin peeling when you arrive you’ll feel great afterwards.
Lounge area and reception: Very well laid out with comfortable 3 piece suites, the 24 hour bar is also situated here, which serves up some nice cocktails, drinks were quite good raki, vodka, gin ,whiskey, all palatable. There is also a cake stand and ice cream stand by the bar. Internet by the main entrance is free just ask at reception. There is about 6 or 7 shops hairdressers, jewellery shop, tattoo, clothes, mini market, leather. All reasonably priced.
Pool area: Nice pools outside, a wee bit cold though, nice paddling pool for kids which is fenced off from main pool, the pool bar serves coffee spirits tuborg lager, and food burgers chips pasta etc.
Main restaurant: Spotlessly clean well laid out with a large eating area outside, also barbeque most nights. Good variety of dishes, lamb kebabs, fresh fish, chicken, turkey, lamb.
Plenty of sunbeds with umbrellas in sept Oct, don’t know what it’s like in peak season.....
A-la-carte. There are three 1 Italian, 1 fish, and 1 Chinese where I spent most of my holidays. The food in all three was good, but the Chinese was exceptional. The canton veal which was served on a sizzler plate was to die for ,it was so good everybody who had it couldn’t stop talking about it.
Beach bar: Is very similar to the pool bar serving the same food, with a lovely view overlooking the Aegean Sea .. Small beach area nice and clean with a small jetty with loungers on it. Pedelo’s, jet skis, rubber rings etc.
Entertainment: Didn’t see much to be honest maybe cos it was coming to the end of the season, saw the belly dancer not bad, darts, tennis court and five a side football pitch built on side of the hill overlooking the sea.
Oh... one more thing about the beach, its down a fairly steep hill. Good news is there is a golf buggy which runs all day to take you up and down.
I’ve been told next year they are going to install a lift or elevator to make it easier for the Russians to access the beach. They refused to use the buggy... Awe luv em.
Staff: All the staff were really good, they work long hours about 18 a day for 250 a month. So tip them now and again a couple of lira goes a long way.
The hotel is closing at the end of Oct I think, so another 150 rooms can be added, and another swimming pool. Hope they don’t make it too big I like it the way it is.
Temp in Oct between 80 and 90 just right all in all I really loved this hotel can’t wait to go back next year. And see my friends worthy of its 5* give it a try.
See for yourself.
Why not ask for the honeymoon suite if its empty the chances are you’ll get it.
A big thank you to Steve and Jo for being such good company... Bye for now john51.

We found everything to be to our liking, from the siting of the hotel and its surroundings to the friendly and welcoming staff.
The hotel is kept spotless with room service every day, and something different to do every day.
You can have as quiet a time as you like or as noisy and entertaining time as you like.
The hotel is truly a Turkish five star hotel.
Advice: Go and enjoy everythig
Activities: Kusadasi town and bazaars
Good for: Beach
