Treasure Beach Hotel

Of over 30 countries we have visited, this is most relaxing place we have ever been (we went in April 05). Treasure beach and the hotel are tranquil. It is a place to chill out and do nothing else. The ocean view room we had was lovely - a huge room - basic but with lots of character and the views amazing. The hotel was so relaxed - with beautiful gardens, pool and eating areas and a really good breakfast. The beach is almost empty, with nice swimming and interesting coral formations. The amenities of this hotel are hidden. It is Treasure Beach itself that brings you the joy. My husband and I stayed here many times over the years. The back pool was never as clean as it could be but is was fun to rescue the bugs from drowning. I don't know if the whirlpool ever worked. Breakfast was great even after a walk to the bakery/restaurant (the name just escapes me). However, if Arnie is still there, tell him Art didn't live to make a trip back. Stayed at treasurebeach for the first itme and it wasc good but ......1.the pool needed to be properly cleaned. 2. the beach entrance was not walkable 3. the tranfer for hotel pickedupmy guset at 12 noon at the air port and had them vwait for me until my8 pm fligfht came in and hadthe nerve to charge $200 for 2 trips instead of one. 4. Best place to stay in treasure beach. Have your own room and bathroom, share kitchen and dining area, right on the beach, excellent people and great on the pocketbook.

What a great place....sit by the pool and enjoy a Red Stripe beer and watch the hummingbirds buzz around the millions of flowers; watch the lizards play along the railings; listen to the surf...and that's just during lunch. The staff were friendly and very helpful! After touring the coastline from Montego Bay to Negril,my friend and I headed to St. Elizabeth. We stayed in several hotels along the way,some were less pleasant than others,one place literally ripped us off for $100.00 Weary and tired,we lucked upon TBH. The peacefulness and natural surroundings brought comfort to our weary souls. We enjoyed the food & service. The staff were both helpful and friendly. Spent 3 nights in a lovely oceanview room with king-sized canopy bed at TBH in April 2003. The room was quite spacious, comfortable, and nicely decorated. There were 5 TV channels, including the local channel. We used the phone for important calls only because all calls go through the switchboard operator. Had to abort plans to connect to the internet from the room. Inland calls were quite costly. Breakfast and dinner at the Yabba restaurant came with the oceanview rooms.
