Fun Holiday Beach Resort

From the first time I went to Fun Holiday I have been spoiled to this hotel. I have been back at least 5 times since. I love the staff. It's like family now. Everytime I go back, they all remember my name and greet me with big smiles. I've seen it grow so much in the past couple of years. For the price, you won't find a better place to rest your head, eat, swim, drink or just hang out. Perfectly located to everything on the seven mile beach. The ocean is beautiful there and the property is extremely clean.....I highly recommend it .... more

I loved staying at the hotel. Our first room was a little musty so they upgraded at no extra cost. Talk to Karen at the desk. Everybody was extremely polite and helpful. Even though the air conditioning was fine, I wanted a fan. A wonderful person, Julett, went to her house and let me use her personal fan for a week. Steve, who is one of the mgrs. drove us around at an extremely good rate. He also let us use his phone and took us back to the airport. He keeps a close eye on the property and everyone's well being. We spent two weeks at FH from Feb 6-20. I almost cancelled my reservations from reading a previous trip report. Believe me i am so glad i didn't. We look forward to returning next year. I had in my head i would deal with whatever came my way so my expectations were kinda low. I was pleasantly surprised. This is a no frills hotel, but very comfortable. The sheets smelled like fleecy not mold as someone else stated. The rooms were cleaned daily, those girls work so hard! Security, which was a concern of mine, was present at all times.... more

We stayed at Fun Holiday Jan. 14-21. The property is still being worked on . . . very accommodating to our needs . . . very clean rooms (we were in two), good linen, plenty of towels, good food, drink specials, central location on the beach, vernon (owner) and carlene (front desk) along with the rest of the staff were there to answer any question we had. Carlene educated us on how much taxi's should cost to the cambio or the centre of town. Security on property is not measured by the guards on entrances but by the owner's standing... more

I stayed at Fun Holiday about a month after the hurricanes. Though they were doing some work, it was a nice place to stay. Right on the beach and they have their own food service. The pool was about 20 feet from our door. The staff was courteous and accommodating. I agree with the Morton Gap's reviewer, Mark was a sweetheart. Fun Holiday Beach resort was quite a disappointment...it was not what we expected. I paid $55 per night for oceanview single room with in-room safe included. $385. U.S. total & Lisa/FHB waived the 16.25% taxes...not a bad price (I thought). I've since learned it can be as cheap as $30 per night including the safe & frig fees... I thought I was booking a nice clean room with 2 beds, private balcony, bathroom w/shower & tub, tv, a/c, in-room safe & refrigerator...$55 per night single with no single supplement charge...1 of the reasons I... more

This hotel is a no-frills hotel. The sheets smell really moldy and the room seemed damp all the time. It is located near the beach but there is no ocean view. It is also located across the street from the Jungle so there is music blasting all night long and a lot of traffic on the street. The beach is beautiful though. However, for excellent food, ambiance, and probably a much better room stay at Kuyaba.

It was a nice stay. Everyone was so helpful especialy Mark he was a doll he knew were everything was and everywere to get anything you needed. They were still working on the place. It was a lot of fun we stayed in the one that had a kitchnett and it was different. Never saw a stove sink and ice box all in one thing.

Fun Holiday is very family friendly hotel. We spent two weeks there with my family and we had connecting rooms. This works out great for young family like us. The staff were very warm and helpful. We will definite go back there next year.

Fun Holiday was an excellent hotel with an excellent location for spring break. There was always some kind of entertainment going on right outside of your window and they always make sure to have your room clean by the time you return from the beach just outside the door. I will definitely be returning next year!
