Marrakech Hotel

If i could give this SUB-STANDARD HOSTEL a minus 5 stars, i would. Other reviews are all true, RATS GALORE, mice, roaches. I think part of the building where this [--] is is a rooming house for homeless. smells terrible, looks terrible, staff is confrontational and plain RUDE. I wanted to check out 30 minutes after they checked me in - and i did, but they STILL CHARGED ME. this hotel was horrible from beginning to end. There are very steep stairs to access the front desk and everywhere else in the building and you are lucky if there is someone there to help you get your bags up to the top. The staff were rude, difficult and totally unhelpful. It took 45 minutes to check in and then the room was completely not ready. One of us ended up sleeping on the floor of the room because they could not provide the third bed for the room - even though we booked three months in advance. They double charged my credit card. I didn't notice it in time, my credit card company told me I was in the right, but I found out about it too late to get a credit. Stay away don't get ripped off like I did.

I can confirm that there are RATS and/or MICE...however...easy access to manhatten, Cab costs less than $10 to Times sq, subway right on the corner and for the price..its a bargin... If you want somewhere reasonable to lay your head in between the partying then this is the place...but remember..this is closer to a hostel than a hotel...if you want a hotel...pay more somewhere else! Oh and further down the road is a nice little cafe to have a huge breakfast for $5..

When i checked into this hotel they had great music playing. The lobby was a cozy spot to hang out and meet people. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. I will be coming back the next time i am in new york.

How could anyone in their right mind run a hotel in this manner? We wanted to enjoy New York City for the first time and fell upon a hell hole. It is so dirty, so small and must be in good health to climb all those stairs with luggage. No doorman to help carry bags. The staff is so rude. We asked for extra towels, and there weren't any. How could this be? We asked for a better room and the agents rudely informed us that they could not help because they were full. Seriously....one in the hallway on the way to our room. If you want to pay nearly $100 for a 10X8 room (think smaller than college dorm room) with a 12" tv, a broken window, dead rats, and 7 flights of stairs to carry your luggage up, by all means stay here. Otherwise avoid it...pay a few bucks more and get your money's worth.

This place was terrible. They didn't have our room ready, lots of people complaining. They found us a cramped room with a broken window. Never visit this hole. What a stain on the streets of NY.

Hotel room was incredibly small to be considered a double room. When my husband stretched his arms out his fingertips were about a foot from each side wall. Photos online are deciving as far a size. Hotel is in huge renovation right now, this info is not listed anywhere. Very noisy and messy, can not even enter through front door, must climb narrow staircase with all your belongings. I arrived on late evening 11pm on 23feb. I get quickly my room. Well is not a penthouse!!! but a room good for stay in the city. Not so much large.. the room is little bit more bigger than the bed , no closet, and just a little tablet where put my suitcase. Good the bathroom ( but when i arrived there aren't towels i go to ask for them). The service: some day i found 4 towels some day 1 !!! i don't know how it works!!!! on the last day of my permanence ( 6 day in total) i found under the bed a glove (not mine!) .Maybe someone forgot it there... more
