The accommodation was family run bed & breakfast and was spotlessly clean. The family were helpful and very friendly.



We travelled to Venice from Treviso by train, which was inexpensive. Trains were punctual, regular, and clean. The journey was approx 25mins. Venice was simply wonderful, we must have covered miles walking (although we did use the waterbus some days) a map is essential as one invariably gets lost (I'm sure they move the signs about to confuse the tourists.).



There is so much to see, we were there during the Carnival. Seeing the many people dressed up and wearing the masks was really entertaining, some of the costumes were magnificent.



Anyone wanting to join in can dress up and be part of the fun. It can be very expensive to stay in Venice and we found there wasn’t much entertainment at night, as we don’t particularly enjoy going to bars. Treviso was a very nice town, with some nice shops and cafes. The airport was certainly small and quite a surprise.
