just returned from staying at Cypria Florida Beach, firstly, it does not fall into a 4* hotel as the british would call it.It may have been a 4* in the 70's because that is how it looks from the inside.Rooms are cleaned daily, but the bathrooms are in need of a... more

I have recently returned from a week’s holiday at the Luca Florida Beach which would be better suited being called the 'Puka Florida'. This was a family holiday booked with another party of 5 to attend a wedding at the Nissi Beach (god wish I had stayed there). Four... more

This hotel would struggle to make a 2* rating anywhere in the world, how it has been classed and listed as a 4* is beyond belief. The Hotel is very, very tied and run down, the carpets are worn, stained and smell of damp, paint was falling off the walls inside and out. ... more

As a party of 7 we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel. It is, admittedly, a bit run down and maybe should be considered more of a 3 star but then it is one of the older hotels in the area. It is in the process of being refurbished. The rooms are a good size and... more

I have just got back from staying at the Luca Florida Beach along with 7 other of my party and would like to say our 2 weeks in this so called 4 Star hotel was a joke. Why? The lifts broke down many times, the doors of the lifts do not fully close, the place is dirty... more

Whoever went to Ayia Napa then complained about the accommodation needs to think again! For starters only about 3 hours is spent in the room sleeping. If you expect anything more then Ayia Napa is not the place for you. Even so I found the room very nice and clean, with... more

We have just returned from a 2 weeks holiday in Ayia Napa. We stayed in the Florida hotel, it was a 4star hotel but we would have rated it as a 2. The food was bland and boring, there was suppose to have been snacks at certain times, which was always not available, and when... more

I would just like to stay that my friend and I stayed all inclusive for a week at the Florida Hotel and found it excellent! The pool was cleaned and maintained every morning, there was no dirt or bugs to be seen at all. The staff were brilliant, always friendly and happy... more

We booked this hotel on the basis of its 4 star rating. After arriving on an overnight flight, we were given room 222. On going into the room we were met by an overpowering smell of damp, the carpets were dirty and the view from the balcony overlooked the largest ashtray... more

We have just come back for two weeks at the Florida staying on an all inclusive basis. We have enjoyed the holiday thoroughly but unfortunately there are some negative comments I have to make as well as positive ones. The hotel does not deserve a 4 star status in any... more

After Our recent visit to Luca Florida I must say that I totally agree with the last lady's comments. This hotel is in no way a 4 Star and I think that Libra need to stop advertising it as such. Again I felt that the staff were excellent, however the cleanliness of the pool... more

Unfortunately we had a very different experience from the other person who has reviewed this hotel. We spent over £4500 for a family holiday and found the hotel to be in a terrible state of repair, broken toilets not fixed for 24 hours and no water for hours at a time. Our... more

Florida no 4 star
Just home from a week in the florida. i was concerned by all the bad write up's but went with it. While clean and tidy it is dated in many places, and look close enough it's a little run down, rough round the edges and 70's porn in style but the rooms have been updated since then thankfully and all with air con, tv and mini bar - pay extra to stock it. Sandy Beach a stones throw over the road, main square only 5 mins walk away. Downstairs the hotel has 4 saunas, jacuzzi and indoor pool and gym, all basic but fine. Hotel seems to cater more... more
Nightmare - Customer service does not exist here
I read the reviews at this site prior to my stay and I must say a lot were spot on. The hotel staff were rude and when asked about car hire said they didn't know where? not noticing their was one to the side of their carpark. I put this down to possibly a new member of staff. Following on from this they decided to clean all the air conditioning filters in the building, this of course I didn't mind its good to know that through maintainence takes place, however I didn't intend to have my clothes painted while they were putting the filters... more
Poor and not worth the money, better options there for same
I just came back from two days stay in Florida hotel. I chose it as I thought it has a direct access to the beach and close to very lively down town. I was disappointed the moment I reached the hotel as I have had a lot of luggage with me and there is no direct access to the reception as it is on the second level and I have had to carry all my luggage to the elevator to reach the reception and check in. I stayed in fourth floor in see view room. Furtniture was outdated and bed mattrices were really lousy with springs coming out and I have... more
great holiday
me and my husband stayed at the florida beach hotel in july 06 and we had a great time the staff was really helpful and friendly the hotel was a bit dated but very clean our room was cleaned everyday and sheets and towels was also changed everyday. We had a very varied breakfast loads to choose from. The location of the florida is perfect the beach is just 2 minutes walk across the road the main pubs and clubs and restaurants is about a 5 minute walk. I would recommend going on the mini cruise to Egypt while you are there we had a fantastic... more
Nice hotel but maybe not worth 4 stars
Stayed here in July 2006. Fairly quiet around the pool area, mainly couples and older families. The room was lovely with a great view of the pool and beach. No problem getting a sunbed at anytime of day. However after staying at the Napa Mermaid this year, rated at only 3 stars i would definately recommend this one over the Florida. The food was nicer with a much bigger selection at breakfast and the staff were much more friendly with an overall nicer atmosphere. However the Florida was a pleasant hotel, probably suited for those looking for... more
2 star not 4 aimed more for german and russian travellers
Just got back 2nd July if you have booked this hotel it would be better spending an extra £100 and going 3 star the hotel review we read was dated 2000 saying the hotel was dated we expected that some work may have been done since but nothing we stayed in rooms 201 and 202 outside the rooms blood stains on the walls the bed sheets didnt get changed not once whilst we were there for 2 weeks even thought we left a tip each day. In the brochure it states snacks between 10 - 12pm but when we asked we were told that we could only have cold... more
A very tired four star
On arrival late in the evening we could tell the Hotel had seen better days. But we were willing to overlook first impressions. We made our own way to the room in what can only be said to be the oldest / smallest and most temperamental lift. Our room did have a lovely view over the sea, (be sure to book only a sea view otherwise you are overlooking what seems to be waste ground.) Our room was just about adequate in size though the air conditioning never worked properly. One small annoyance was the TV; I searched in vain for a... more
excellent holiday
Just returned from two weeks at Florida Beach hotel in Ayia Napa. Hotel really nice with great pool area.Rooms very clean with everything you need. Ours had a sea view which I would recommend booking if you can. It was my husbands birthday while we were there and he was surprised by a bottle of wine and fruit basket left in the room after breakfast which was a nice touch. We were bed and breakfast only but hotel did offer option to include meals. Hotel was about 10-15 mins walk from the centre of Ayia Napa.
Our stay at the Florida.
We have just returned from 2 weeks at the Florida,2 adults and 2 boys aged 14. We had a brilliant time, the staff at the Florida were the nicest ive met, the food was fairly good, some nights better than others but always something to suit most people even fussy teenagers.(All very clean no tummy upsets at all.) The hotel is a bit dated in the public rooms but the bedrooms are great and the seaview fantastic. The pool is great with a nice friendly pool bar!!! Rooms cleaned every day and sheets changed every other day.<br... more
Nice location
Got a late half board deal for a week at £219 and met a very unhappy couple who paid £600. Certainly not worth the brochure price. Clean hotel, nice staff, nice pool but over crowded pool area. It did not matter because you are minutes from a lovely beach. We were not impressed with the food and only ate twice in the hotel. Perfect location on East side of Ayia Napa. Away from noise but close enough to walk in to nightlife. Cyprus is fantastic and have been there 5 times and will continue to do so. We were happy enough with this hotel due... more
