Lovely hotel
from Jo0711
We have just returned from Anesis Hotel and had a fab time. Hotel has excellent location, close to Harbour/beach, shopping/bars/'The Square, etc. Friendly staff who are prepared to help any way they can. Room size good and cleaned daily. One of our rooms was upgraded free to a superior room (113)which had a fantastic balcony pool view with proper sun loungers...class. Pool excellent, Baby pool/large pool/jacuzzi really taken care off, couldnt of asked for anything better. Only disappointment some members of our family had was food, personaly I thought it was acceptable but few of our party chose to get a lunch time voucher to order from the bar menu which had quite a selection of meals, (tuna pitta ...lush..) instead of the evening meal. We ate out as Ayia Napa has loads of nice restatuarants, went to Dragon Chinese, opposite entrance to Nissi Avenue (Tommys Bar) which was excellent and mexican El Chiwowa just on the road leading upto the square. Will definitely be returning to hotel and Ayia Napa, fab resort.
Loved it! (from Oldbury,west mids.)

We have just returned from staying 2wks at the Anesis hotel in Cyprus, can i just how much fun we had overall. The hotel is very nice and is always clean its alittle basic but i have seen worse hotels about, all rooms have air-con for free & a fridge for free you have to pay for the safe but that was only £16 cpryt pounds for the 2wks. We stayed in room 002 which was a pool view which is highly recommended. Food is very very nice even tho we stayed self catering we still had dinner there often, theres a local supermarket over the road which is helpfull and has everything you need. The location to the main square is about a 5 min walk and all clubs are good including Bedrock, Rock gardens, Castle club and loads more. Theres so many places to eat and drink i wouldnt say Ayia Napa is cheap but its reasonable but we still had a fab time. The weather is wicked so so hot it reached at least 40 degrees while we we`re there so we had really good weather the whole 2wks, i would recomend anyone togo to Cyprus and the Anesis i will definatly be going next year.
lovely hotel

Stayed at the anesis at the end of June. First impressions of the hotel was it was lovely, room was a little basic but for the cost of the holiday we couldn't complain. Free air conditioning in the rooms. The only downside of room 101 is the view from the balcony. my advise is to ask for a pool view. Hotel reception was immaculate and very well presented, so was the restaurant. My partner and I stayed on a half board basis. As a fussy eater i was a little worried about some of the reviews I had read previously about the food, but every day it was something different for main course, it was plentiful, hot and very nice. If you didn't wish to have your evening meal you could get a voucher from reception so you could have your meal at lunch time and eat somewhere in the evening which we did on a couple of occassions. The bar served snacks at lunch time which were lovely and reasonably priced, but the service was a little slow and many of the restaurant/bar staff did not speak much english which sometimes made it difficult. There was no urgency by the staff tho, you could sit and wait to be served for a good 10 minutes whilst the staff stood and talked!! It was the same at the bar. But this was the only thing we had to grumble about really. The pool area was lovely, we didn't have to rush in the mornings to get a sunbed, the pool was clean and well looked after, with background music playing (by the end of my holiday i was however a little sick of Abba!) The hotel is close to the bars and nightlife but not too close which is nice. There is a shop straight across the road, and the beach is not too far away. Overall i would definately return to the anesis. For a 3 star hotel it is brilliant and looked one of the best in ayia napa.
Had a great week

My husband and I spent a week at the Anesis after finding a cheap deal with First Choice on the internet. We had been to Ayia Napa a number of times didn't know where this hotel was or what it was like. We were really pleased with our stay. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Our room was fantastic, I think we may have even had a free upgrade as it was huge and over looked the swimming pool. It was close enough to all the nightlife to walk there in about 10 minutes but far enough away to be able to chill if you wanted to have a break from it all. The harbour and closest beach was well within easy walking distance and there was a good shop opposite for all the essential bits that you might well need. The pool area was great and we never struggled to find a sunbed regardless of what time we went to the pool. There was music on at the pool but it wasn't loud or obtrusive, just a pleassant background noise. The pool area had a childrens playarea and also easy access into the pool, as well as a seperate childrens pool, jacuzzi and jacuzzi section in the main pool.We stayed bed and breakfast, we found the breakfast had enough variety to be nice and there was always plenty available. The hotel is close enough to many of the good restaurants by the harbour and in the square to eat out and close by everynight. The snacks offered by the hotel were also very good value for money. We often shared a sandwich at lunch or a salad as they were such large servings. We both thoroughly enjoyed this holiday, and are already planning our return visit to this hotel next year, or sooner if we can afford it. I would class this as a very sound 3 star hotel, that is small enough to be personal but big enough to have a good standard of facilities. Well worth the money we paid if not more.

Friendly, clean and welcoming hotel

Just come back from the Anesis Hotel where we had an excellent week. All the staff were extremely friendly and nothing was too much trouble, little touches like having noted down my birthday from my passport so they could wish me a happy day when I came down to breakfast made us feel really welcome and that we were appreciated as clients. The hotel was spotless, cleaners washed down all the pool area every morning and the maids were very thorough in the bedrooms and on the patios. We paid for a superior room with a lovely large balcony overlooking the pool which was worth every penny. There was plenty of wardrobe space and the room was a good size. The buffet breakfast was hot, plentiful and good, enough of a selection to suit all tastes. Excellent tea. The drinks in the bar were sensibly priced and no more than in many of the bars and cafes in the area. Although being very close to the main square in Ayia Napa it was a quiet location, only a small bar across the road had audible music, but once we shut our balcony doors we could not hear it. All in all a very enjoyable stay and should we return to Cyprus the Anesis would be top of our list
very nice hotel

overall our experience of this hotel was very good. the staff are friendly, the hotel is very clean and the pool is pretty good aswell. the hotel is a 5 minute walk from the beach and from the main bars and clubs in 'the square'. theres some small shops, restraunts and pharmacy nearby also. for the price the hotel was exactly right. its fairly small and the pool is definetly on par for the hotel size. we didnt eat in the hotel except for breakfast and that was pretty good- buffet style. our room was a double room which I think was previously 2 seperate rooms but none the less there were 4 beds, 2 bathrooms, a small fridge, kettle and fridge. there was a tv with some satellite channels. we were there during summer 06 and the world cup was on so regularly watched the game before heading out. the hotel also has a sauna and gym which were unbelievably small with but if going for an hour in the gym is to anyones fancy then its there. I also must say at how happy I was with our stay- on leaving the hotel we were being picked up at 3.45am and werent sure if have to vacate our room at 12pm the previous day (you know some hotels would insist on this) but no, we spoke to the manageress and were reassured that we could stay in our room until the minute we got on the bus to the airport. Overall I was impressed with the hotel- for a 3 star hotel we knew we werent getting a top class hotel but we definetly got what we paid for. If I was going to ayia napa with friends again then I would consider returning to anesis.
Loved the Anesis Hotel

Just returned from 2 weeks at Hotel Anesis Ayia Napa, feel very depressed and want to return immediately. Hotel brilliant, carpets all over so no clicking heels or dragging suitcase noise in early hours. Airconditioning in room (absolutely necessary) large clean rooms with kettle, cups & glasses and hair dryer. Fantastic new pool with jacuzzi and kids splash pool, so warm it was like getting in the bath. Went half board and always found plenty to eat, full cooked english breakfast every day if you want. Staff very nice and friendly all of them. Superior rooms have extra large balcony with own sunloungers and brolly, don't know whats in room as we weren't in them. Close to "the Square", harbour, beach, shops in fact everything you need. Scooter hire across road next to supermarket, guy very friendly and helpful and so laid back it's untrue, never any rush to return the scooter. We are 51 and 49 and could pretend to be young again on the scooter, absolutely loved it. We sat in a bar at the beginning of the Square while our kids went off clubbing, it was great watching all the youngsters enjoying themselves, a brilliant place to people watch. Would definitely return to Ayia Napa and Hotel Anesis if they haven't priced it out of our reach now.
Breakfast improved on second visit
from Daisy69
I have again just returned from Ayia Napa staying at the Anesis Hotel. They have a new pool area which is fantastic! The staff were as ever very helpful, the very spacious room was cleaned every day and the breakfast was very much improved on last year. The only annoying thing was the 'saving' of sunbeds each morning. If you haven't reserved your spot by 11am you have really had it for the day! I think they could do with a few more sunbeds (there was enough room for them) as when the busy months arrive, half of the guests are going to struggle (especially the clubbers who don't surface until past midday)! I would certainly recommed this hotel.
woo ayia napa!

me and three friends have justs come back from ayia napa and had a WICKED time. we stayed in anesis apartments which were fantastic. we had two bathrooms and two balconies which we were not expecting. the pool is also excellent and nice and quiet to chill out through the day. for those of you that have night life on your mind... anesis is only 5mins away from the square which is brilliant, and is thankfully a downhill walk from all the clubs which comes as a blessing when its 6am and u cant wait to get into your bed! id definately recommend staying here... good for the young and lively and families as its far enough away to make it quiet and serene, day and night x
we were 6 18yr old girls looking for a place to stay near clubs and great area. hotel was in a really good location. shop jus accross road, square and club about 5mins walk and nissi beach 5 min taxi which coist around 2euro. really good!!! the hotel i say was mixed...... more
