The Hotel is very basic. There is very limited parking. The hotel is clean and they have 24 hour reception. The hotel also has a Hollywood story of its own. This is the hotel where the sixties singer Janice Joplin died, the room is 105.
The hotel is situated on Franklyn Drive which is a five minute walk from Hollywood Boulevard and all the sights and sounds of Hollywood. The Chinese Theatre, The Kodak Theatre, and the Hollywood sign.
The Starline excursion company is a great way to see the homes of the famous.
If you have would like to see the places where people are famous are buried or would like to know the more infamous side of LA, there is a tour called the Dearly Departed and you are taken around by a guy called Scott Michaels. I strongly recommend this tour if this is what you are looking for. There is nothing that Scott does not know.
