This was the best hotel we have ever stayed in, the hotel is a credit to the manager and the staff, and the entertainment team were excellent, especially the girls, we had only booked for a week and we so wanted to stay another week, will definatly go back, the rooms are clean as is the hotel and the food was excellent, so much choice. I liked the way everyone gets to know each other, and we met some great friends there, this is a must for couples, you wont be disapointed. colin & lynne grace.
No 1 Hotel on Cyprus

Great service from the moment we walked through the door. A spotlessly clean hotel, tremendous food selection and friendly helpful staff all combined to make this a holiday we will not forget in a long time. This hotel is in the Thomson Gold brochure but it out performed several hotels from their Platinum range we have recently visited. The hotel manager was always available to socialise with guests and he personnally wished ALL his guests bon voyage when our holiday came to an end. SUPERB SERVICE - IF YOU ARE CONSIDERING CYPRUS - BOOK TASIA MARIS...A 5 STAR HOLIDAY VENUE

Following our visit in July this year Again I can’t sing the praises of this hotel enough EXCELLENT!! The food is very good the staff and manager are still as friendly as they were earlier in the year. Again The Thomson Gold entertainment team of “T” and “H” were brilliant. How they missed our on the Best Thompson Gold Entertainers is Beyond me. I understand that the team that won had there own little bundle of Dynamite keep the Gold Guest Happy. (See Atlantica Bay Review 17TH Oct 2007) The Water fun fitness, Again the funniest exercise I’ve ever watched, “T” Revamped some of the party songs to refreshing thing up, still addictive. These Girls must be sick to the back teeth singing Big Fish, Little Fish, Court of King Caractacus, The Mimic Man since April. Although the best of all a Chinese Version of YMCA. “Brilliant” You both deserve the rest at the End of October. The daytime activities were fun to join in with, as well as watch. “T” smiled through each event with massive enthusiasm, even after she had fallen off her bike on her Day Off. “H” THE Donny lass never fell off here bike but she smiled on in the 40ºC temperatures like a true pro. On an evening “Ian Rawlinson” entertained with his unique brand of singing and running about, kept the Audience well entertained and best of all he’s a really nice bloke. The UK Cabarets were very entertaining the comic and singing duo Harris and Day were hilarious. Not to be missed. Once again thanks to Tasos (the manager) and his staff for a perfect holiday. This hotel is definitely recommended!
Tasia Maris
from OLLYBOLLY14
We returned from the Tasia Maris last week, and had a brilliant time. Me and my partner got married at Ayia Napa Town Hall, The Thomson and Hotel staff couldn't do enough to help our day run smoothly. Now where do we start? The accommodation. The room was excellent, always clean towels when you returned from the pool or the nearby beach. The food was excellent, always a variety for everyones taste. The thomson staff, namely Heidi and Kelly, were always there and so helpful, As we were getting married the first week, Heidi was there on the morning of our arrival with all the relevant paperwork and advice etc required by the Cyprus govt. Our wedding day went ahead without a hitch. The day after our wedding we had breakfast in bed with champagne and flowers, what a lovely thought from the staff. If you do get married in Ayia Napa I would recommend this Hotel for all the right reasons. The photographer was excellent, taking 250 photo's...how do you pick just 36? outstanding!! The pool area does look bigger in the brochure, but dont let that put you off, it really is that good. okay, you do need to get up early for a sunbed, but the management did put signs up telling everyone that they would remove towels if you were away for a while, but hey, your on holiday and the local attractions are around you, including nearby Nissi beach, now that is one busy beach, oh yes, There is one directly behind the hotel, small and quite, but very nice and clean. At Nissi beach, my wife decided to do a bungee jump(200ft) up, is she trying to tell me something....The hotel had entertainment everynight, good, but not always our cup of tea! The local area has the normal taverna's, but we found the hotel food was so good, why bother eating out? Tassos the manager must be proud to have such hardworking, helpful and ever happy staff working at this excellent hotel. We would love to come back next year. Thank you for making our 2 weeks special.
Hotel gorgeous, Cyprus gorgeous, entertainment rubbish!!
from bubbly_kt
I loved my two weeks at the Tasia maris, the hotel is probably one of the nicest i have stayed in, the pool is amazing and Cyprus is gorgeous, but i would not pay to stay here again. The reason for this is because the entertainment was so rubbish in the evening and unless you make the treck into Ayia Napa centre, there is only a couple of not so great bars to choose from playing the same Kylie and Elvis tributes night in night out. Be warned, if you get a pool view room, you will have Kylie serenading you to sleep unitl 1:00am from the bar behind the hotel. Another reason for not staying here again is the location of the hotel. It is right on the main road into Ayia Napa, so can be quite noisy and when it is 42 degrees outside, although Nissi beach is only a 15 minute walk away, you really can't be bothered to make the treck. Also i didn't like sandy bay beach which was quite dirty some days. If you stay at this hotel though, you must go to Nissi Bay, it was amazing! Theres a quiet end and an end with beach bars and music, it has a really nice atmosphere and the sea is very clear and warm, perfect for swimming in! Another place i would reccommend is Konnos Bay for snorkelling, we saw the most amazing fish there, proper tropical ones! And also, take a boat ride to see Cape Greco and the sea caves!! All in all, i loved my holiday, but when i come back to Cyprus i will be staying nearer to Protaras and in a hotel with much better entertainment and in a better area with more things to do and better bars for the evening.
Tasia Maris

Just returned from the Tasia Maris Beach Hotel. Thomson Gold property - please dont be put off that its for couples and you think its oldies! Brilliant hotel! Weather the first week was so hot! You did not realise how hot it was until you were in the shower for the fifth time that day! 2nd week it cooled down - only 35 degees!!! Where do we start..about accommodation? Basics...rooms excellent, cleanliness was spot on - food very good! They had HP brown sauce! Entertainment - first class! T and Helen superb and really hardworkers. Helen great singer, nice person too! (count how many times they say "Hi Guys"!) Quizes, waterfitness and the acts absolutely superb! Very varied and all british! Catering for all ages as well! Area - a little out of the way for nightlife, however definately go to the Well Inn across the road. Andreas will look after you! Hospitality - excellent apart from the pool bar women in the white socks! If she smiles its definatley wind! Right - the negatives...well only one! The sun loungers...its that bad the winning quiz teams name was 'The first ones there'! This means that unless you are up at 530am you will struggle to get a sun lounger! Also you have to pay for tea/coffee and fridge! This is a thomson gold you could expect that all in! Reps - Fantastic. Kelly was superb really helpful! Musts - Hire a car! Not from EUROPCAR (Ripoff merchants and dodgy cypriot drivers) Mini Cruise to the Holyland (brilliant) Kourion, Episkopi beach near Limassol! Only negatives about resort is the lack of respect for beaches.Litter and even water quality was not brilliant. Cyprus has some amazing beaches. However tourists dont deserve it! The amount of black bin bags, water melons and coke bottles passing you by in the sea was amazing! Cypriot authorities take note...sort it out!! Return defo! Well done Tassos!
Too Many Thomson Towels

They say the happiest place on Earth is Disneyland. However, for 2 weeks in July, it was the Tasia Maris. We've travelled all over the world and this was easily one of the best hotels we've stayed in and was by far the most entertaining holiday!! All of the Hotel Staff were very friendly and helpful; and Tasos (the manager) was brilliant fun every time we spoke to him (which was quite a lot). The Thomson Gold Team of Representatives and Entertainers were excellent and made you feel more than a guest at the Welcome and Goodbye meetings. 'T' and 'H' were fantastic fun throughout the duration of our holiday and made the guests feel welcome. We joined in every activity and made many new friends. Even my 16 year old son found the Water Fun Fitness thoroughly enjoyable (although tiring) and ended up help lead the activity on our last morning...dressed in an Elvis Suit!! Many Thanks to T, H, resident duo '2'z Company' (aka Kerry and Spencer) and the Thomson reps for their great work. We have recommended this hotel and the Thomson Gold Experience to all our family and friends on our return home to Sunderland. Yamas (Cheers in Greek)...
Excellent A+++

Me and my wife stayed here and I must say, What a hotel!! The friendliest I have encountered in all my years travelling abroad. The food was magnificent (even though the restaurant is on the small side) The reps were great (Dan was very helpful, dont let his hair put you off) We stayed in a superior room which had a huge balcony with our own sunbeds. the tv was a bit dated and only had one english channel (BBC World) Now for the really great part, The entertainments staff were excellent, Tamera and Helen made our holiday, they are by far and away the most proffesional gold host I have come across, The UK cabaret acts were of a really high standard especially a duo called "Harris and Day" How they have not got there own tv show is beyond me!! It was the best show I have seen in years and the other guests were raving about them for the rest of our holiday and they were really nice guys to boot. Overall I would recommend this hotel in a heartbeat even just for the entertainment alone.
Wow, Wow, Wow!!!!!

Just returned from Ayia Napa in Cyprus today at 2am in the morning. Stayed at the Tasia Maris Thomson Gold hotel and it was brilliant. Never been Gold before and now will never go any other way. Was a bit apprehensive about going Gold as you imagine a lot of old folk. Yes, there was some of the older generation but there was also 16 years upwards across the whole age range. The staff in the hotel were great. They could'nt do enough for you. Rooms were good. Food was good - breakfast was excellent. Unlike most hotels the drinks were reasonably priced as well. Entertainment was quite good. Especially when they brought in acts from the Uk. They have a duo - Two's Company- that are on at the begining of the night and also the end. They are dreadful so be warned!! Dan is the Tompson Team leader for the reps. in Cyprus and he is lovely. He has lived on the island for a long time and knows all you need to know about the place and is also keen to help you. 'T' is the lady who heads the entrtainment and is amazing. She does the water aerobics at 11am in the morning and works till after 12pm at night. She is a very professional lady. Very hot at this time of year - 40'C upwards so if you are not so good with the heat I'd advise going a couple of weeks earlier. Also extremely humid with not much air on the night either. The pool area is absolutley gorgeous. Palm trees, lovely flowering bushes, parasols, a bridge over the pool - just lovely. One bad thing was that to get a sunbed in a decent part of the the pool area you had to be up no later than 6am in the morning or all the sunbeds had gone!! One lady I saw at 5am in the morning putting towels on 8 x sunbeds - I was only up at that time due to being too hot by the way!! Centre of Ayia Napa is for the youngsters on a night. My son was in Ayia Napa at the same time and he is just 25. He said he felt old as they were all between 14 and 20 !! Lots to see in Cyprus - Farmagusta - the deserted town since 1974 when the Turks invaded. Nicossia the capital and also invaded by the Turks - now has a wall dividing the city. Lots of designer shopping here.. The hotel is just over from the beach at Sandy Cove - a must to visit. Path goes out of the hotel straight over to the beach. Lots of beach bars to quench your thirst!! Watch out for the mozzies though - they had a right meat fest on my legs!! All in all a fantastic holiday and would definitely go back in the future.
excellent

Excellent hotel. Friendly, relaxed atmosphere probably because its adults only. Food quality was much better than expected as per some of the previous reviews, especially as this is only rated as a three star hotel. A big "thank you" to the entertainment hosts, Andy and Tamara who put their heart and soul into entertaining the guests. They did a marvellous job. This hotel is definitely recommended!

Just got back from the tasia maris, where we all had a great holiday. The holiday was made perfect by the efforts of the entertainment staff, in particular Jamie and Dixie Leigh supported by the wonderful Dance On duo of Wuilliam and Jamie Rae. The food and level of... more
