Ado Hotel

I too have just returned from Ado Hotel Altinkum.
Yes I agree with the state of the hotel rooms and carpet. The room is like a poxy 1970's bedsit! I also found the white towels and bedding were very dirty and disgusting. The bathroom was clean though at least.
I saw the English Manageress everyday and she was very nice and pleasant.
The breakfast was horrid but the Turkish men working at the hotel were friendly and not rude.
Goldtrail were not much either and their transfer time of 1 and a half hours was very inadequate. More like over 3 hours! On the return journey the rep got off the bus in Altinkum and didn't even come to the airport with us and so we were left on our own with a Turkish driver who didn't go over 25 m.p.h and kept chatting on the phone and swerving all over the road!
We stopped off at one point and they added more passengers and we had no spare seats and then the luggage that they couldn't fit under the bus ended up stored in the aisle of the bus which was not health and safety!
I found that most of the Turkish men were sleazy and rude in the whole of Altinkum, and one even carried me off into their restaurant after my boyfriend and I refused to eat there as we weren't hungry!! They all pounce on you and then shout that you’re rude for walking away when you have told them "no thank you" and I did not like this.
We found a lovely restaurant called The Family Door (Down the side street that Nigel’s Restaurant is on corner of) to eat in and they were all lovely and then we went to the Cheers bar for drinks. Both places were cheap prices and had brilliant atmospheres.
Unfortunately the rest of Altinkum hasn't made me want to return to Turkey ever again and I will be looking somewhere else to holiday from now on!!
I will not be suggesting Ado Hotel, Goldtrail, or Altinkum to anyone ever again.
