We booked the holiday based on other reviews we'd read - we were not disappointed. We wanted an early holiday for a week. The apartments were spacious with own balcony that overlooked lovely gardens. The staff were friendly. The food at the pool bar was good and... more

Modern, simple and clean, the apartments are secluded and set in a quiet area about 15 minutes away from Lindos village. The pool is perhaps a little too small and gets crowded in peak season but there are enough umbrellas/beds. The grounds are beautifully landscaped and... more

Visited Rhodes staying at the Lambis apartments in Lindos from 10th/17th Oct. Weather really hot for 5/7 days even in the evenings but slept with the door open so didn`t have to pay the 50 euro air con charge. Studio really spacious with lots of storage space, cream... more

excellent apartments
Just came back from lambis studios 12 july 07 apts are lovely, brand new accomadation, beautiful gardens, large pool, great bar area, bar stays open until you decide to leave ,5-30 am one morning for us good pool atmosphere and great views, never seen a cloud all week, and temperature soaring take plenty of sun cream, lindos itself is beautiful ,small cobbled streets full of great bars and restuarants most with roof terraces with fantastic views, nice 10min walk downhill from apts into lindos we walked back uphill every night and didnt find it a problem, but taxis only 4 euro, st pauls bay very nice with crystal clear waters well worth a visit and within walking distance from apts , pefkos only 5 mins in a taxi,6 euros it is cheaper than lindos and got some nice bars and restuarants there ,different night out ,didnt get to acropolis, too hot during the day,but it is within walking distance from apts, never had a bad meal all week in lindos or at apts ,very friendly people and will definately be going back to these apts, great holiday enjoy!!!
FAB!!!
One weeks romantic break 'for two very stressed out people following a hard year' break was needed and we went to the travel agents who sold us this on a last minute deal.... We were SO fortunate. The Lambis Studios are lovely. Clean, modern, equipt, and brilliant views. Building work stopped in mid flow next door and an abundance, of donkeys 'ek oring' in the morning EARLY!. They definately need to include air-con though in the main price as it reached 55 degrees there this last week and we had to sleep with no sheets, and the windows open all night long as air-con is an extra 10 Euros a night, when you are on a budget that can mount the price up somewhat. In terms of places to go, we would certainly reccommend it!! The hill is a killer in 55 degrees heat but we did do it twice a day, and feel really really fit after our break. I would advise anyone going to drink PLENTY of water too!! One day we drank 9 litres between us!!! Lindos is REALLY touristy but retains its charm somehow and is like a tardis!! The food is really reasonable and the people are all friendly. Steffanys is particularly good and reasonable and so is the med restaurant, however, pricey!! Really can't fault the lambis! Have fun if you are going!!
Great place to stay!
Stayed at these apartments a few years ago and loved them!! The apartments have great views across Lindos Bay, Ok they are located on a hill and if your walking up from Lindos town or the beach it can be a little exhausting but I hear theres a free bus that will take you up to the top, so don't worry. They are extreamly clean, large and very modern, probably the best apartments we have stayed in anywhere in Greece. Theres a lovely pool and poolside bar with friendy staff. Greta was great, not sure if she still works there but she made us lots of great coctails!! I totally reccommend these as a place to stay. Go on book now!!! :)
Terrific Apartments
My friend and i booked the Lambis as a relaxing week to recharge our batteries and were not disappointed. The apartments were spacious and immaculate and service was excellent. The food at the pool bar is excellent. The only thing to be aware of is the sometimes over eager maids who will come into the room to clean even when you are still in bed. Lindos is a beautiful place with amazing views and the staff in the bars and tavernas are really friendly. The English owners at Steps Bar are especially welcoming and the Reggae bar Karma has a great atmosphere. We enjoyed this holiday so much we would definitely return.
Great time
Fantastic holiday, in fantastic surrondings. The Lambis is very clean, with lovely gardens and friendly staff, especially Michael behind the bar in the evenings, be aware he loves pink floyd!!!. We made some good friends too many to mention by name, which was down to the atmosphere around the spacious pool. Places to eat we tried were, in no particular order, Acropolis which is owned by the owner of the studios, Michaels father is the chef, Michael being the bar man in the evenings, come on keep up!!!, and the head waiter is called Lambis, as they used to say, Confused?, you won't be. Dyonnis i think is what it was called was good which was between alex's and stephanys. Alex's was good too. kalypso was especially nice as it has loads of history and the owners couldn't do enough for us. By the same token dinner at the apartments looked good and probably a bit cheeper than going into lindos too. Now, the appts are a 10 min walk from the town centre, which is mainly down hill, dont let the distance put you off. As for getting back, if feeling lazy the black and white mercedes costs 4 euro. Bars we tried were Yannis, where max spends most of the night trying to drop bottles whilst making cocktails!. The captains house bar and the poolside bar. We stayed in room 43 which had a view over the gardens ,pool and great view of the acropolis. Now dont let this put you off but we met up with a grasshopper type creature which was about 6 inches long, along with a number of stag beatles. No lizzards though. All in all a great place to stay, and to spoil yourselves. Safe box is 10 euro a week, and air con is 10 euro a day or 50 euros for the week, we went in may so wasn't too bad, but we were told it can get very hot in rhodes at night at the height of the season. Rooms have a kettle, toaster, 2 hobs, hairdryer and plenty of wall sockets. Maid service was more than adequate. We would both highly reccomend the Lambis studio's to anyone. Enjoy your stay there and tell Michael the cd's are in the post for me please!!!.
Geat Apartments but BEWARE
Just got back from the Lambis, and I agree with everything everyone else has said and we didn’t have any problem with the building work either. One block is nearly finished so the builders were only fixing doors windows etc. There is no use naming good restaurants in the town because there are too many, they are all good. I would like to mention one particular bar you sholud visit, its the Karma Bar run by David from St Lucia. He is one " Cool Dude". Its on a little ally way so you will have to look for it but well worth a visit. Back to the apartments..... There was one problem I would suggest you take into account when booking your holiday... We booked ours through First Choice. Many of the flights home were in the early hours of the morning with pick up times late evening. You have to vacate your rooms by 12 noon. There is a note in your apartment saying you may be able to keep your room till 7pm if the room is not going to be taken with incoming holiday makers for a charge of 20 euros. which you pay to the apartments direct. As we were leaving just before the Spring Bank holiday we did expect our room to be taken but asked all the same. We had a word with the Rep who said she agreed it was unlikely "but a courtesy room would be laid on" (as we have always found on previous holidays) As expected our room was to be used but when we asked about the courtesy room we were met with a blank look and told there wasn’t one, not even somewhere to get changed and we weren’t being picked up until 12.20am in the morning after leaving our room at noon for a 4am flight. the following morning. What angered me was that they were selling off some rooms making 20 euros on each room but had not left one available for the rest of us to use. We complained to the Rep and the Manager agreed for us to move into another room at 12 noon. The room was in the same block so why he couldn’t have moved the new people into that one instead of ours I have no idea. Or why didn’t they offer this spare room as courtesy room for everyone. There were people sat in the shade all day around the pool so they would not get too hot in their travel clothes and I even saw one couple showering in their swim wear in the pool shower then nipping in and out of the toilets to get changed, Not good! It was a real pity as it made me feel they didn’t care now we were going home and other than this the stay had been great. First choice need to get their act together, the Rep didn’t even know a room wasn’t available and should have sorted something out for everyone not just us because we complained. I haven’t seen a review of a similar problem on here and assume it has only happened this year and perhaps now because the season is starting to get busy, If you suffer a similar problem please complain not only to the Rep to sort something out for you but also to First choice. I loved these apartments and would love to go back but first the tour operator needs to A) ensure the comfort of its customers to the very end of the holiday. B) make sure its Rep knows what’s going one and C) ensures a courtesy room is made available for its guests especially when the management are selling them off to other people at 20 euros a time making a quick profit!!
Lovely Place
We stayed at the Lambis Studios from 2 May to 16 May 2007 flying from Manchester.. We are fairly fit pensioners aged 61 & 71 and we found we had no difficulty walking down to Lindos and back up to the Lambis. (but if you have walking/mobility problems then the Lambis and also Lindos itself are NOT suitable for you) We never resorted to taxis and somedays we did the walk twice in one day. there is however, a little free bus which runs approx. 10am to 4pm from the main square up to the coach parking area, (near supermarket). The Lambis Studios are in a lovely garden area, all very nice and clean. Our studio which was on the ground floor was behind the swimming pool and we were not disturbed at anytime by the nearby building work, which is actually on a very small scale. (see photo 1), although I appreciate if you are put into the top studios (photo 2) some noise may be heard. (photo 3 - view of lambis studios near pool)
Lambis Studios , Lindos
We have just returned from these studios after staying there for 1 week from the 9/5/07 . Really good quality compared to most Greek apartments , a really nice pool area with lots of sunbeds and very well kept gardens and stunning mountain views from the pool area . Food is served at the pool bar which is really nice and inexpensive . Rooms are cleaned everyday and towels changed 2 or 3 times a week .There is building work going on next door to the Lambis Studios with short sharp busts of heavy building work but on the whole we really didn't have any major problems . Lindos is amazing but getting into Lindos from these studios does require a sturdy pair of shoes as you are faced with a steep hill which ever way you decide to tackle Lindos from these studios . So don't wear your heels lady's ( or men ! ). We ventured into Pefkos and visited a restaurant called the Philosophia which is fantastic a real twist on Greek food with lots of fantastic options to choose from infact several Greek families were having Sunday Lunch there when we visited . I would really recommend the MedEast Restaurant which is just above the square in Lindos ,fantastic views of the Acropolis and a real chilled out vibe and mouthwatering food . On the whole we love Lindos and your first view of Lindos as you come around the corner on your way into resort is breathtaking , so if you have booked to go to the Lambis Studio's in Lindos ...... lucky you you will enjoy it !!!
Very nice, very peaceful, lovely
We got back from Rhodes yesterday and thought I’d write this review for others going this year. We flew out on the 9th May and got back on the 16th. We really liked the Lambis. There is building work going on but it must have quietened down from the review below as we were never woken up by it. We were woken up by the donkeys though. The apartments are very clean and nice. They are not luxurious but they are a very good standard for Greece. We were up the ramp on the left which was quite steep but we managed it and my calves feel like steel. The swimming pool was very clean and there were always plenty of sunbeds available. We ate breakfast, lunch and dinner a couple of times there and each meal was lovely. They serve very big portions and at a good price. We did drink there a few nights and found Michael quiet but friendly. We also got some alcohol from the supermarket and sat on the balcony overlooking the lovely gardens and water features having a drink or playing cards. There is a tea towel, glasses, plates, knifes, chopping boards, saucepans, kettle and toaster. There is a hair dryer in the bathroom but there is no iron. There was always hot water and the shower was quite powerful. The TV has some English speaking channels but we weren’t in the room much to watch it. The rooms are cleaned every day except Sunday and the towels and sheets were changed on the Saturday when we were there. I’m assuming they would also change them on the Wednesday. I think that the towels need to be changed a little more often but we just hung them on the rack outside and aired them. The only thing I didn’t really like is that the beds are two singles pushed together and they do slide apart quite easily. Insect repellent is a must in Greece – I have been bitten quite a bit, although my husband wasn’t. The apartments are a 15 minute walk away from town – we found that the easiest way into town was to turn right out of the apartment and follow the road around until you get to the main road and turn right at the main road and follow this round until you get to a bar called Lindos reception which will be on your right and turn left through the car park and follow the streets into town. We found this easier and less steep than the road down to the town opposite the supermarkets. To get to the supermarkets you should turn right out of the Lambis and follow the road until you reach a donkey enclosure on the left and a set of apartments in front of the (the Lindos view) – there is a gravel track down the side of the apartments – follow that and then the road round to the main road – then you will find the supermarkets. We found Flora cheaper than the other one. We did a number of trips – the Rhodes Island Tour, the jeep safari and capital encounter. The Rhodes island tour was good and you got to see a lot of the island – we went right round the south, east, most of the north and the west. However you do have to pay for entrance fees on top of the price you pay for the trip. They try and make you go to this taverna for lunch which we did but it wasn’t brilliant and I’d recommend you go somewhere else in the lunch break. We did the jeep safari two days after the island tour. I wouldn’t recommend you do both – we did a lot of the same things but enjoyed the jeep safari more. The guys running it were great and you can tell they were enjoying themselves. They take you to prassonisi which is where the Aegean and the Med meet. Luckily for us the seas were out so we could drive down the beach and look back at Rhodes – it was lovely. Then we had lunch on a deserted beach where the guys from the company have built a shack and give you a great lunch of feta, bread, salad, olives and ouzo. On both the safari and the island tour you do wine tasting and suma and honey tasting but at different places. The capital encounter was ok. We didn’t like the new town of Rhodes town – the old town is much better. The palace of the Grand Masters is amazing and well worth a visit. If you are student take your student card as you can get in free to a number of the ruins/sites etc. We got this trip free because we went and paid for two others. The rep does charge more than the company in town – anything from 3 -10 euros cheaper. The taverna night is 44 from the rep and 38 in town. The tours pick you up at Lindos View – turn right out of the apartments, follow the road round and turn left at the main road and walk down to the Lindos View entrance. We flew with first choice who were ok. We got exit seats going out by asking at checkin but we didn’t at checkin in Greece – they asked us to pay, but the seats were empty on the flight back so we were allowed to move to them. We are both quite tall and within 10 mins of sitting in the seat I had dents in my knees so I’m glad we moved to exit seats. Food was ok and service very good. Lindos is beautiful, very peaceful and lovely. We were there early in the season so it was quite quiet. Places I would recommend to eat are Acropolis (restaurant owned by the owners of the Lambis) – this was the best meal we had, Kalypso and Alex’s. We didn’t rate odesseya much. Ambrosia looked lovely but we didn’t have a chance to eat in there. We drank cocktails at Yannis Bar and the staff there were lovely – there were two in particular Thaso and Leonedas who pretended to be Spartans for us when we found out Leonedas’ name (from the 300). However the cocktails are quite expensive. We also had cocktails at Bizantyne which were cheaper than Yannis and just as nice. The acropolis is amazing. We walked up and it really wasn’t as bad as we thought it might be and is well worth the trip up. I hoped this helped. Lambis Studios are great and if Rhodes was a bigger Island then we would go back there but we now feel we’ve done most of Rhodes and so it’s not worth going back.
Lovely apartments but building work !!!
Just got back from the Lambis Studios were we stayed for a week from the 2nd May. The bad news first - On two sides of the Lambis there is some heavy duty building work going on from 7am until 4pm everyday including Sunday. JCB's, cement mixers, drills, the lot. Our rep was flooded with complaints and folk moving from here to other accomodation. The hotel manager was mortified and had said the buiding work was due to finish by 1st May but they were weeks behind and were refusing to stop. We had a car so werent effected too much apart from being woken at 7am. Not there much during the day, but heard the noise went on all day. Be warned if your coming here in May or June. Our Travel Agent didnt warn us in advance which they are supposed to do these days. Apart from this adjacent work, the Lambis Studios are lovely. Very clean and spacious, and a very good standard for Greece. The hill at the side can be a bit of a killer. Its not for old folk for sure. The pool area was great and loads of sunbeds. Lunch was nice when we had it, although we did find the barman Micheal a little surly and cliquey with his favourite (big drinking) customers. Its a fair walk into Lindos. Probably 20 mins down some fairly steep hills. We never walked back and always got a taxi (4 euro). There are lots of donkeys around the property too which add character with their braying. Not a lot else to say about Lambis. Does exactly what it says on the tin with some lovely gardens around it. The studios arent The Ritz, but you can get a heck of a lot worse in Greece than here !! Lindos was beautiful and May has to be the best month to go. Not too hot, not too crowded during the day and chilled at night when the daytrippers have gone. Some lovely restaurants too. Fave's being (for Greek food) Symposio. Very good service and very nice food. Also opposite the Rainbird cafe (sunset views are gorgeous and great barman) there is a stunning Italian restaurant called Broccollino. Its not advertised and doesnt have a sign, just a vine leaf courtyard and a big ornate gilt mirror on the outside wall. They dont have a menu and tell you four or five starters and mains that are fresh that day. This place is seriously good and a very well kept secret. You'll need to book though as its only got about ten tables and turns people away all night long. Awesome place.
