Just returned from a week's stay at Holliers Hotel, Shanklin. Was reluctant at first due to adverse reviews on this website about the hotel.
So glad I ignored this because we have had a really great week staying there, the owners Steve and Dawn join in with everything: making the stay as enjoyable as they can. They do all the cooking and even waiting tables if need be.
It was a very friendly atmosphere and very good entertainment every evening. Thankyou very much Steve and Dawn.

Just arrived home from a weekend at the Holliers, read the reviews from last December and nearly did'nt go so pleased we did. My husband has health problems so I had asked for a quiet room and not too high, got room 14 it was perfect. Could not fault the food. where could you go for Sunday lunch and be offered four choices of roast.
The owners and staff were very helpful, and friendly the hotel was clean and comfortable.
All I would say is go and see for yourself, we got much more than we paid for.

This was a last minute booking and the only place that had rooms. It was quite pricey however it was peak season for a family room.
The family room was nice but a little cramped it had tea and coffee making facilities and a nice little bathroom with a great view.
The building itself is old and so there is no access for wheelchairs or prams and the building is a little creaky.
The breakfast was nice but the Rod Stewart songs constantly playing did leave us with a headache.
There was entertainment in the evening in the bar which made up for the above problems, along with the location in beautiful Old Shanklin.
