The appartments themselves were not what I expected, but they were clean and comfortable. We had two appartments in all a 2 bedroomed one on the upper floor, with the most spectacular view ever, which changed everytime I looked at it. The other appartment was nearer the road and had not been modernised, but it was pretty neat. The pool was just perfect for us.
The woman who owns the place, might not speak much English, but we found her very pleasant, she let us keep on our appartments for nothing on the last day (we had a late pick up) even though she had charged other people staying there. I think maybe it was because we spent a lot of time in the place, and ate breakfast/lunch at the bar, and spent quite a few pennies on drinks (not all alcoholic)!, whilst a lot of people spent time elsewhere.
We got to know the three ladies that tended the bar, a local in the morning and early afternoon, and two British ladies the rest of the time. What a great laugh we had.

The apartment was lovely and clean and had recently been refurbished.
The beach is really close which is great and the pool is lovely. All rooms seem to have a sea view which is breath taking. The bar is open until midnight which is also great as they also serve food.
Only problems are the lady who owns the apartments isn’t very friendly or helpful.
You will need to get a bus into town, as it’s not as close as people say...definitely not 20 minutes as they tell you, but the bus is VERY comfortable and cheap - just make sure they don’t miss your stop!
Very nice apartments, just a shame the lady who owns it isn’t more friendly and helpful.

What can i say, have been going to Crete for 12years, but because of the travel companies not flying from Newcastle we have stayed else where on our last two visits.Not this year i can honestly say we are pining for mirabella this place has every thing you need for a relaxing holiday, cooler the owner is always so pleased to see you and will do any thing to make your stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible,rooms are basic but clean every room has beautiful views which take your breath away at first glance.I can honestly say this is our little piece of heaven, the beach is close by as are a few restaurants Olga's is one of our favourites i must say after walking into town numerous times i prefer to take a taxi or bus because it can feel that the road is never ending, if you do walk call in at the Galley where Jackie and George will be pleased to give you refreshments,this is where i call the half way mark but be warned you might not make it in to town as this place is great, food drink fab and much cheaper than in town. All in all i will be returning may bank holiday and i cant wait, next door to mirabella is Evania Apartments this is a family run hotel they are happy to let you use their facilities just purchase a drink this place is just as relaxing and very friendly, my husband spends most of his time here fishing and swimming off the jeti OH i just cant wait to get there YAMOS
