A weels break in Cala Galdana. Apartment was clean,, well equiped although beds were basic. No staff on site except for first thing in morning. If you arrive after lunch look for notice on board telling which of 20 apartmets you are in. Pool good with sun beds and parasols ( needed if 32c + as it was in June !!!!)/. Overall ery very god value.
Resort itself excellant and please take the walk to Cala Macereltta Brill.

Lovely quiet resort ideal for families and those who want a relaxing holiday without late night discos and bars.
The beach is lovely with shallow water, good for little ones to paddle! The brollies and beds are expensive to hire so be warned!!
Our favourite places to eat were the beach bars excellent value day and night. Our only bad experience was in the one all the guide books recommended which was El Mirador overlooking the beach, bad service, poor food and we waited for over an hour to be served!
The apartments we stayed in were clean but basic, situated at the end of the resort and very quiet. We have been to this resort twice now and enjoyed both times although hiring a car and seeing some of the other quieter beaches is well worth it. Will definitely be going back.

The Es Desmais appartments are about a 10 minute stroll to the beach.
I have read many reveiws saying that there is a steep incline to the appartments, well there isn't really, the only problem being the 80 or so steps from top to bottom, that I could see being a problem for less-fit or inevitably disable people.
The appartments are clean and the small number of staff are friendly: on the first day we discovered a leak in the ceiling to our appartment (no. 13), however we were plesantly surpried when the problem was soon patched up and resolved. The only work I found myself doing is occasionally sweeping the ants away from where we were storing food in the higher cupboards in the kitchen area.
The veiws from the appartments on to the marshlands (South-East facing only) were spectacular, and me and my family often sat on a morning watching the ariel-acrobatics of the Thrushes, Herons and Egrets over the river that leads down to the small harbour and sea.
Advice: Cala Galdana is a lovely, relaxing, quiet getaway!
Activities: Cafe ILLICE (ice-creamery) S'Escopinya, Bar/Cafe Blanc y Negre and our favourite Fuente de Trevi !
Good for: Beach
