The Dong Fang Hotel is in a good locaton in Central Beijing, within a 10 minute walk of Tiananmen Square, the Forbidden City, Temple of Heaven and the Qianm Shopping Centre. A popular restaurant and bar, along with leisure activities are available. Rooms at the Dong Fang Hotel are compact, and simply furnished.

The overall trip is excellent. My wife and I booked our flight and one of our friend in Beijing helped us to book the hotel. We spent 4 days in Beijing and it is rather unforgettable.
The food is really excellent, we tried Peking Duck, hot pot, special Beijing noodles which all taste nice and totally different and much better than the Chinese food we find here in UK.
The sightseeing is good. We went to Tianmen Square, Great Wall, and Forbidden City. Forbidden city is really huge, about 10 times bigger than Buckingham Palace. The colour is all red and gold and you feel like you are not in 21 century.
The people are generally friendly. The environment, especially air, is rather bad due to pollution. The sky is not as blue and clear as it is in Britain.
A nice trip though and hope others could enjoy as us.
