Lux Alpinae Hotel

A very modern 4 stars hotel with a traditionally warm and feel-always-welcomed atmophere. The views of Rendl from the rooms was just so inspiring, I couldn't wait to get up, take advantage of the spacious room to do my strechings, then have a fantastic breakfast and head straight for the slopes. Very well positioned, only a short distance from the ski lifts (an easy walk or a free bus shuttle service). We really enjoyed the light, the view, the nice spa, the very good food and the excellent service. The staff is very nice, friendly and service minded. And the family who runs the hotel is just lovable. Short way to town and the skiing facilities. We love to come back next time we go skiing. It's the perfect place to relax after a perfect day of skiing.

This is a very modern hotel that looks cold and not very attractive, it has a very small lounge area, But the service was very good with very pleasant staff. Meals were also presented very nicely.Packed lunches were a waste of space, two days we were given a raw egg and one grapein the bag.Good spa facilities. Raw architecture and sublime service meet in this great 4-star hotel. All rooms face south with great veiws of the Rendl Mountain, through the panoramic windows. Very spacious rooms and I found the idea with the glasscube for the bathrooms great, you can soak in your bathtub and enjoy the view of the mountains at the same time. A breath of fresh air was what the doctor had ordered so off I went to the Austrian Alps thinking that just the mountain air would recharge and rejunenate me. Not only did the mountains do all of that but the hotel excelled. Waking up each morning and throughing back the curtains to an amazing view of the Rendl started retanking my batteries. Hotel Lux Alpinae is really friendly and cosy hotel. I think it stands for that what the name says. Lightfull and in the beautyful tyrolian mountains and MORE: Arrived late 22:15 h got picked up at train station from the big boss. Check in easy and fast. Unfortunately despite the excellent food and helpful/friendly members of staff we couldn't get a wink of sleep in this hotel because of the design of the building which allowed every single noise to penetrate our room(s). We had to move from the original room which we tolerated for five nights which was located in the stairwell of the first floor which meant every single step by other guests on the concrete steps outside our door, and the noise from the lift going up and down and the noise from the sensor lighting tiggered by other guests... more

Very nice, modern and stylish hotel. The hotel is located on the main road out of town (400 metres from the centre of town up a gentllish hill). The road can be a bit noisy but we slept through it without an issue. Their minibus will take you into town in the morning and pick you up in the afternoon at the end of the days skiing. The nearest skiing (Rendl gondola) is 200 metres down the hill, or alternately you can go 200 metres further to the main gondola (the new Nassereinbahn ferris wheel gondola). I was lucky enough to stay at the hotel Lux Alpinae in January of this year as a surprise 40th birthday present from my wife. First impressions were good. The Hotel The hotel is relatively small (26 rooms) and is designed by Georg Driendl, the same architect who designed the new Galzibahn gondola in St Anton, and although a bit modernist for some tastes, we loved it. We chose to stay at the Lux Alpina as we had seen it in Christmas 2005 while walking around St Anton and said we would choose to stay there next time. Being an Interior Design I was curious of the new Modern hotel and the work of the well known design firm who designed it. The hotel is beautiful, has lovely modern clean lines, bare concrete walls as it grows out of the side of the mountain and the lovely glass walled bathroom. ( A bit too stark for some guests).
