Renaissance Paris Hotel La Defense

We stayed here for two nights in april 2006. It is a typical business hotel. You know what you get. I think that the sice of the room and the lay-out was verry common. Nice clean room. The badroom doesn't keep up with the rest of the room. Bar was ok as was the breakfast. The waitresses served you as much coffee, tea and orange juice as you would like. My partner paid the corporate rate for this and it was the same price as all the other 4* in the La Denfense. However this is really a 3*. Our room was tiny. The building is triangluar and we had the room at the end. The room was only big enough for the double bed. The bathroom was basic.... very white and looks cheap. The location was great if you were working in La Denfense. For shopping and sightseeing, the RER get you to most of the places quickly. However RER is a bit rough at night. This was a second honeymoon trip and we loved every minute. The hotel location is great - a quick walk to the Metro. A bit away from the "action", but exactly what we wanted. Clean, comfortable rooms. Great service.

My mom and I stayed 2 weekend nights for 100 Euros each night. It is located next to the Arch in the Business District. On Saturday, the shops stay open until 9 PM and there are over 280 shops in the mall next to the hotel. Plan on eating at the hotel restaurant on Sunday as many places are closed. The staff was excellent and made me feel welcome. The rooms are nice too. I would definitely stay here again.

My husband and I stayed at the Renaissance over the weekend of December 10, 2005. We have both been to Paris several times; accordingly, we did not use the Renaissance as a sightseeing base. As we had very little luggage, we decided to take public transportation versus a taxi to the hotel. We took the Air France coach from CDG airport to Etoile, near the Arch of Triumph. MY husband and I enjoyed an 11 day honeymoon in Paris, France this past June. One of the things to note is my husband broke his ankle in 3 places 2 weeks before our wedding! Great business hotel, but nice for a weekend getaway, as well. The rates are pretty attractive on weekends, and just a quick stroll to the metro. The hotel is located just to the left of the Grand Arche. Its quiet and convenient and kind of a nice change from being in noisy downtown Paris. The rooms are large and service is competent.

Good location if you are attending a conference in the CNIT La Defense. Rooms are big and luxurious, and as the the staff speak fluent english that's an added bonus as well. Only con is the location, if you arrive late at night in La Defense, there are limited places to eat except for the hotel's restaurant or other nearby hotels. Overall, its a nice business class hotel. Thumbs up.

We tagged a weekend in Paris onto a 9 day Norway ramble for two reasons: to unwind in luxury (see below) and to verify on site some plans for next year. The hotel was chosen because of a phenomenal weekend rate (VISA tiein) from the Marriott internet site. We stayed three nights at the Renaissance Paris Hote La Defense. From the outside it is not real impressive but we were pleasantly surprised at how nice it is inside. We were on a tour so the breakfasts were included. They had fresh fruit, yogurt, dry cereals and the usual assortment of cheeses, cold meats, scrambled eggs along with croissants and baquettes.
