The Hotel Eden is situated right off the main square and next to the boat landing stage but it is nevertheless peaceful and undisturbed.

The room was spacious and comfortable with a very good bathroom. Only the TV was a bit old and temperamental.

Breakfast was excellent with a good choice of fresh bread, croissants, eggs etc, and lots of fresh fruit. Mostly we had breakfast outside with a view of the lake which was a lovely way to start the day.

Staff were friendly and efficient, particularly the breakfast and bar staff.

There is a sunbathing terrace directly overlooking the lake. You can also swim from here but it was a bit deep for us. Sirmione itself is a lovely resort - according to many regular Lake Garda visitors it is the best resort.

There are lots of tourists but it is not spoiled like many Greek resorts. The only drawback is that it is very flat and not near the mountains.
