We arrived in Malta and stayed at a different hotel for a week and due to air fares we stayed on for a few more days and waited for cheaper flights. During the last part of our holiday we stayed about 4 days at the Euro.
We found the Euro hotel prior to staying and checked out the venue. We spoke to the hotel manager Syed, who we found to be a very pleasant man, who couldn't do enough to help.
I explained that we were due to book in with them on the Saturday, and had to leave our exsiting hotel by 10am and asked what time we could book in. He said it was normaly by 4pm. But realising we had children and bags to carry around he offered to take us in anytime on the Saturday and even got the two rooms we required cleaned and ready by Friday evening.
The local bars were close at hand and the food at the Euro was excellent.
We had booked online from London and didn't know the hotel and therefore didn't know what to expect as you hear so many horror stories.
The price for half board was very reasonable. If you want 5 star then pay more and go elsewhere.
I found the staff pleasant and friendly and Syed happy to help.
The hotel is still being built, and they are trying hard to complete the rest of it, and as such does have teething problems. But is doing well as a working project.
We are going back to the Euro in July, and have already recommended my mother, who has booked up for September.
Keep up the good work guys.

having booked an inexpensive holiday, my aspirations were not high, however this was a lot worse than i expected, on my arrival there no hot water , in spite of numerous complaints, i had to endure a freezing cold shower every morning, the breakfast consisted of watery orange juice , watery coffee, cereal and toast, the room was cleaned spasmodically to a low standard, the bedding was not changed the whole week, the corridors were dark and the stair handrails hanging loose and unsafe, the staff were indifferent and the manager never spoke after my coplaints, this is a glorified hostel full of single gentleman of a certain age.

this is the second time we have stayed at the euroclub and we will be back for a thired time. all the staff are wonderful from the owner mario, manager sayed, vince the head waiter joey the fix it guy(he is so helpful not only with things for the hotel) and pauline the cleaner. they just cant do enough for you. the food is very good, and most nights there is a special, the hotel is clean and tidy our room was cleaned every day and clean towels, what more can you ask for. the hairdyer in our room was broken so sayed sent out and bought one for me to use. i would recommend malta to everyone as the maltese people are so friendly. and i would recommend the euroclub hotel as well.

At first, I was quite pleased with the Euroclub. The location of the hotel is very good, being a short walk to the bus station. The staff are mostly very friendly, and the rooms are nice enough, including a balcony. They're clean and tidy, and you're prepared to forgive some little issues. The hairdryer in the bathroom didn't work and the shower wasn't great. albeit functional. You can hire a Safe and a Fridge, but there's nothing to tell you about this, so you're left to figure it out for yourself.
Breakfast was basic, but ok - though you have to pay additional for a cooked breakfast. As for the evening meal, you don't have a great deal of choice - you'll be bored of it quickly. Portion sizes are quite good - quality of food is quite hit and miss. And a lot of it stinks of being cheap.
Unfortunately, by the end of the holiday, the issues got worse. My wife who happens to be a vegetarian, was served a dish advertised as such, but which had mincemeat in. Frankly Disgusting. And the Manager of the Euroclub (Sayeed) turns out to be an obnoxious, rude guy who we witnessed having an argument with one of the other guests.
If you must stay at the Euroclub, certainly recommend going on a Bed and Breakfast basis only, and probably only for a week maximum.
By the way, I highly recommend Malta, which was fantastic!

We have just come back from spending three nights at the Euro Club and were vey disapointed with the hotel. Reception area looked clean and tidy, but on leaving the reception you enter a poorly lit area, the disabled ramp had a hand rail which was vey loose and dangerous. The lifts looked as if they were about to break down and had gaps between the door and the shaft. Arrived on our second floor corridor to find yet again no proper lighting. Our room was quite large with a decent balcony and adequate wardrobe and draw space. However on turing back the covers on the bed we found holes in both the sheets and pillowcase, the so called clean towels on the bed were stained. Moving on to the bathroom we found the shower curtain to be filthy and covered in mould, shower dribbled luke warm water. This would definately not be a hotel I would return to or recommend to anyone.

We have just spent a great 2 weeks at the Euroclub and I must say that all the staff from the manager to the cleaner were very frendly, helpful and polite, nothing seemed to much trouble if we needed anything.
The room was a resonable size with a balcony and a cieling fan which was welcome, especialy at night, the room was cleaned each day along with a change of towels. We opted to have a safe and fridge in the room (at additional cost but worth it) and within 15mins of our arrival both were provided.
Meals are taken in the ground floor dining room but we chose to take our breakfast outside by the pool which is also a great place to laze away the odd day with it's cafe for the occasional snack or beverage, the food was quite good and varied but if you like us wanted the occasional more aurthentic meal there are many resteraunts serving excelent cuisine within a short walk.
The hotel is in a great location for seeing Malta with the bus terminus a couple of hundred yards away as is the beach and sea front.
On the whole a great place to stay, we are looking foward to returning in the near future.

this hotel is still getting refurbished so half of the hotel is completed n the other half of the rooms were still getting done. there was not much noise or disruption while this was happening though.
when we first got there i was alittle disappointed because there had been some confusion with my room, my daughter was put into my mum and dads room and i was in a single room. once i had spoken to simon the manager he moved us asap which was 3 days but as i was there for 2 weeks i didnt mind.
the breakfast consists of tea (which u can drink it's not really strong like some places!), coffee, milk, pure orange juice straight from a carton (not the watery stuff you get in some places!), bread (and a toaster), cheese slices, ham, salami and cereal. not a cooked breakfast n does get a little boring after two weeks of it but nice enough.
evening meal is 5 starters, 5 mains, cake or ice cream for dessert. plenty of food though i don't know why the person before me said small portions, how much do they eat?! if you choose pizza its a full BIG pizza (far too much for me, me n my daughter used to share one.) the food is lovely and it is varied.
the pool is great, the pool area is cleaned every night. the sunbeds don't get sun until 10:30 tho so if you get up and there is no sun don't panic it comes and stays there until about 5:30. we used to have our breakfast then go for a walk and by the time we got back the sun was on the sunbeds and pool. the pool snack bar serves food and drink and joyce is fantastic!
be aware we bought our beer from the supermarket down by the roundabout for 58cents a can and drank it by the pool and nobody bats an eyelid (the hotel charge 1.40 for their cheapest). same with the lolly ices/ icecreams.
rooms are spacious and clean. towels were always in my room by the time i got back from the pool. you do have to pay for the air conditioning and fridge though, (you also need to ask for a fridge) don't know the prices though because i did not get either.
the area is great, restaurants and bars everywhere there is a man made beach 5 minutes walk away (downhill) it is 4 euros for a sunbed on the beach.
the acts in the hotel bar (watsons pub) are fiona the female impersonater (who is all female now) is fantastic and she is lovely (she sometimes serves at breakfast time in the hotel). the other act is a danny devito impersonator who is also good. on a monday night there is kareoke. dj is great.
other bars we found that were good and served cheap beer (efes about 1:40) were the apple bar there is a good quiz night on a thursday and a full size snooker table (turn left at the little roundabout and carry on straight down it is on your left) and mccormicks run by an irishman called john (go down the same road but when you see two roads joined together on your right take the second one.) there is kareoke on there nearly every night the dj is from canada (ask him and john if they remember zoe n her mum (we sang quite a lot )!!) there is a pool competition on a sunday.
would definately go back there, have got the email address to book next year.
if you are going remember the places i told you about and have a fab holiday!!

I arrived at 12pm mid day the staff could,t do enough for you very helpful @ friendly you had to pay extra for a fridge no sooner i ordered it the fridge appeared within min,s that what i call excellant service.
Simon /Sheeid & Anne Marie were most helpful.
The location was central only around the corner from the Bus Station the drivers were all very imformative. The yellow Maltese buses are a very cheap less then a £1 for a 40 min ride.
I would not recommend the Taxis as they are very expensive more so then home.
I am going back again this month this will be my third vist to Malta this year.
Great location Euro Club is in Central lots of Bars & resturants.

We were a bit disappointed having read the other rave reviews about this hotel and we certainly wouldn't class this as a 3 star. When we got there at 9pm we were told we'd missed dinner and one receptionist told us to go to their bar and tell them we'd just arrived and they might make us something to eat, the Egyptian manager then came out and told us that we'd missed dinner and that was that! Our room was one of the just built ones in the new half of the hotel, it didn't have a safe nor a hairdryer as mentioned in the room facilities, and we were told that if we wanted we could have a safe fitted the next day (we could have left our stuff in the reception safe but didn't want the hassle every time we wanted to get something out). We were told 3 different breakfast and dinner times by 3 different members of staff. The next day we waited until 11am for the safe to be fitted and then another 2 hours for Mario to turn up to give us the combination - bearing in mind we were only there for 7 days - we'd wasted half a day in our room waiting for them. This was after having a huge argument with the Egyptian manager who was extremely rude and told us that we were just looking for something to complain about and I then called the hotel reps who must have phoned Mario as he turned up 5 minutes later (the Egyptian manager just grunted at us after this whenever we saw him). That evening we discovered that we didn't have any hot water so we told Mario and fortunately it was just a matter of turning a stopcock on. We bumped into another couple across from our room who told us that they'd been waiting for 3 days to get their hot water sorted out (they never did - they ended up moving rooms a couple of days later to a room in the old part with no balcony). As for the fact that the rooms are cleaned daily, well the cleaner turns up but doesn't do much other than make the bed and empty the bins. We had to ask for our towels to be changed and after 4 days our bathroom had not been cleaned and we had to ask for that to be done also. The food's OK - it's not the best - Breakfast is either toast or cereal, Dinner is a 3 course menu with 3 or 4 choices for each, but small portions - so if you're expecting an eat as much as you want buffet you'll be disappointed coz you get what you're given!

We had a fantastic holiday at the Euroclub Hotel. We had a family room which was basically 2 rooms in one, one side had a fan and the other had air conditioning. There was plenty of room and was very clean, the maids cleaned every day. We also had a good size balcony. The food was quite good with a choice of 5 starters, 5 main courses followed by Gateaux or ice cream. The hotel is about a 10 min walk to Buggiba and the bus terminal is just around the corner.
The people who worked at the hotel were absolutely fantastic, Sayid was really helpful, Joyce was just lovely and looked after all our ailments! The entertainment is on 4 nights of the week and is provided by Fiona, a female impersonator. She is fantastic and we all loved her and her act.
We found the Maltese people great, they are such friendly people and will do what they can to help you, we all felt very safe, the children could safely go off on their own during the day and in the evening.
We loved everything about Malta and the people and have already booked to go back next year.

The Euroclub is in a good position for the bus station, beaches, shops, cafes and entertainment which is mainly at hotels and bars.
The 3rd floor room was quiet, spacious, clean, freshly decorated with a new bathroom suite; had a balcony that overlooked the pool which was of a good size. Suggest asking for a room on a high floor to have the sun in the evening and overlooking the pool as this is a quiet position. Everyday the room was cleaned and fresh towels provided.
The choices for the buffet Breakfast were orange juice, cornflakes, fried eggs, bacon, sausage and baked beans, bread or toast and jam or ham or cheese.
For the evening meal which was waitor/ess service the starters were from a the choice of a homemade soup, pasta and bolougnais sauce, egg mayonnaise, tuna, ham or cheese salad. There were usually about 5 different main courses available, roasts, fish, a special - curry one night, steak pie another. Dessert was always gateaux, ice cream or fruit. Carlo worked hard to serve people as quicky as possible.
It wasn't the Ritz but was very good value for money.
