" Stayed in hotel part of complex and... "

Stayed in hotel part of complex and apartments in ajoining street. Very, very clean and well presented. Owners and staff are excellent,Thomas Cook resort rep although new to the island was very good and attentive.
Fourth time back at this home from home resort and consider ourselves very lucky to come across this accomodation. On return from last years holiday decided to rebook for September 2008 and very much looking forward to seeing Vas and Steve and of course the 'special cocktails'.
Pictures on the Thomas Cook web site do not do this hotel justice, it is much better than you would expect for the price.
I have just done some research on Thomas Cook (13.04.08) and it looks as though the hotel and apartments are sold out all but two or three dates towards the the end of the season, it would not surprise me if most of these were not return bookings.

" Excellent hotel, we stayed in the... "

Excellent hotel, we stayed in the studios which were basic but spotless. cleaned every day & towels changed 3 times a week.
The only criticism would be as we were self catering a few more basic utensils such as bottle opener/corkscrew & breadknife would have been preferred rather than the LCD TV which we didn't use.
Anaxos itself is a lovely resort with plenty of traditional tavernas, particularly Nikki's & Aegelos. If you just want a drink Michelles cafe on the main road next to Billy's car hire is the place to go, particularly when Foti is playing traditional Greek music, but even on a quite night Michelle & Georgia make everyone welcome.
No better place to go if you're looking for a traditional & relaxing break.

" The studios are about the cleanest... "
Submitted By: Mr G Southgate
The studios are about the cleanest and most well looked after that we've ever found in Greece.
The girls came in to clean every single day. Really! The beds were comfortable & clean, the shower was spotless, and there was a screen, rather than a curtain. Luxury.
The Hotel to which the studios belong had a good bar and pool area, again immaculately clean with good friendly service.
The village itself is small, and very laid back, relaxed and relaxing. You can walk around it in less than an hour. There are plenty of good places to eat, we didn't have a bad meal all week. The beach front is lined with tavernas, and it's worth exploring the back roads as there are good places to eat all over the village.
The beach was sandy, clean, and not crowded. Sun beds are well worth paying the 5euros a day for, if only for the shade of the umbrellas. The sea was clean, and without the miles of sea grass that you sometimes get.
We took the bus into Petra and Molivos, only 1.20 Euros wherever you go, if it hadn't been so hot we'd have walked but we felt lazy. Both villages are well worth visiting.
The excursion we went on was the Wild West, to see the petrified forest and Skala Eressos etc., again worth doing.
All in all, great accommodation in a lovely resort. I recommend it and want to go back there.
