PARTY AT THE TAKKAS!!!
Myself and two other lads wne to Napa last October (2007) and loved every minute!! we enjoyed the holiday that much we have booked up for this September.
The Takkas was gr8 and the so called Entertainment Manager Brian was great!! He gave away free booze in the day and kept everybody lively after a rough night!! The takkas staff and rooms were spot on. Very clean!!
Napa was a great night out!! So many differnet night clubs and bars to pick from, all offerinf free shots ans drinks on entrance!!
I also got lucky and pulled a guy called Pablo!!!
Make sure you take a night out at sea on the fantasy boats!! they are such a laugh and end up very very messy at the end of the night!!
See you soon Napa!!

I really enjoyed my time at takkas! location is GR8 5min walk down to beach and also 5min walk into the square! nissy beach is a taxi drive away, dont walk takes about an hr!!!
The apartment was clean and just what we wanted! a group of 3 girls were just up for the weekend as i am currently living in cypus i had two friends over on holiday so i booked just for the weekend. the price was amazing and from reading other reviews i thought what on earth was the apartment going to be like. BUT it was super!! everything was gr8, pool a bit on the small side but i love going down to the beach so this wasnt a problem. River reggee (afterparty) is two mins away from apartment but we didnt hear any noise from ths. the aprtment was a bit on the loud side but we loved that atmosphere and if you end up back in your apartment at 8 in morning teehee, you do not hear the noise of others comming back from the clubs.
staff friendly and happy to help! air con is a must and at only 35cent per hr what a bargin and much needed, although there is only 1 unit which is in the bedroom, but gr8 for when you are getting ready!
i would not recoomend this apartment to families or the older generation, but more geared towards the younger groups/ couples!
We had a fantasic time and i will def be back up again this year.

This hotel was amazing and the bartender at night, Christos, made the most amazing drinks. I miss it so much and hopefully I'm going there again next year. The best hotel in Ayia Napa!

well takkas apartments were really nice. very clean. the only problem we had was cause we were on the ground floor, the cleaners came round early and after a heavy night out on the lash it wasnt good. staff were amazing. god knows how much we tipped them overall. they were really helpful. our rep on the otherhand wasnt anywhere to be seen. didnt even turn up for our welcome meeting. he was absolutly terrible. but on the other hand there was an olympic rep who was great. ven tho were booked through first choice she still helps us out and took us on some fantastic bar crawls. but other than the service we recieved from first choice i would give the hotel 10/10.
What can I say. It was my first...

What can I say. It was my first time in Ayia Napa I was always fond of these cheap European holidays but I loved my two weeks in Napa!
Takkas apartments itself I found very good as it catered for our needs- very basic and clean with the rooms being cleaned every other day. You can hire things like tv. cd players and iron from a shop next door.
Also it is very close to the centre being only 5mins walking distance and roughly 2 mins from River Reggae which is a late after club where you can stay till 7am.
Only down side is one or two of the bar mens attitude especially one guy who had some sort of short man syndrome where he always wanted to show his authority.
Advice- don't drink n drive your peds or quad at night its not worth the 400 pound fine from the police as some of my friends found out, if you do don't get caught!!! Try n book 10 days as 2 weeks could be a bit long and 7 days a bit too short.
If you want something nice n basic i recommend Takkas. If you love hearing funky and love ravin then Napa is the place to be!
If you are looking for clean,...

If you are looking for clean, basic apartments this is the place for you!
The staff were fantastic, incredibly friendly and helpful.
If you don't want to venture further than the pool - the food is good too!

Just returned from 1 week staying at the Takkas Apartments in Ayia Napa. There were 4 of us, we had 1 bed apartment each.
These self catering apartments are huge, was excellent surprise as was expecting smaller.
Had ground floor which was great, would recommend. This hotel is in a fantastic location, only 5min walk to nearest beach Christatos, which we thought was much nicer than Nissi Beach. Also 5min walk the other way for the bars & the square.
Felt safe staying here. Staff friendly & would recommend eating their food, every meal we had was fine. Air-con for the week was only 2.80cyp pounds so a right bargain, also safe deposit box was only 4cyp pounds for the week.
Only thing that lets this hotel down was the area around the pool. Size of pool is fine, just area around for beds. Beds are fairly close to each other so we went to the beach every day.
Would def stay there again if we return to Ayia Napa.
Takkas apartments was just what...

Takkas apartments was just what we needed! Me and 5 friends went to Takkas this August and Takkas was amazing!! It was very basic but the air con was very cheap and a god send!!
The little 24 hour shop was a life saver and the freaks behind the pool bar kept you smiling all day.
If you are interested in travelling to Ayia Napa I strongly recommend hiring a quad or moped and going to cape greko! It’s amazing, me n my sister rented a quad each for 3 days for just 30 pounds, and it was fun getting out of the heat!
As for the hotel trips... Go on the fanastyboat booze cruise (well worth the money the best n8 of our holiday!) And the pub crawl. We also went on the beach party to but felt it was abit crap for the money we paid. The food was basic and the entertainment was basically a gang bang.
The night life in Napa was perfect there was the quieter bars to get started in or just have a few one night, then the mad bars that you just couldn’t get enough from. My fave bar was titanic because of the music, but I also loved ambassador because of the brilliant fans!
If anyone fancies Ayia Napa and you like going out then its definitely worth a try! I loved it, and it's not like you might think with all the pill heads and drugs. I never noticed any!
Get yourself to Napa... You'll love it!!

We went to these apartments 27th June 2007 and all I can say it is utter rubbish. The place was full of 18/30 the rep was a complete w****r we have put a complaint in with Olympic and got no where as usual. We go to Aiya Napa every year since 2000 and never experienced anything like it. We will never go with that tour operator again but will be going back to Aiya Napa rating 0 out of 10

We arrived on 25th July 2007 at the Takkas Hotel. We went for 1 week only. The hotel was clean and spacious. I went with 2 of my friends. We were all shocked by how lovely our hotel room was and glad we chose this hotel.
The hotel staff were lovely, they were very helpful and the food was gorgeous. The maids came to the room every day to sweep and mop the floors and change the bed linen etc.
We were a 5 minute walk from the clubs. pubs and all the nightlife. Groceries and newsagents were local to the hotel.
I've been to Ayia Napa before and the hotel I stayed in when I went in 2001 was disgusting, we all loved this hotel. If I do decide to go back to Ayia Napa, I will make sure I go back to the Takkas Hotel.
I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone going to Cyprus. You will not be disappointed.

On the 1st of July me and 4 girls stayed at the Takkas everything was fine until we had an ant problem.
We rang reception and they said that the maid would do something, but they didn’t.
Overall the apartment was excellent and the pool area could be bigger or more sunbeds.
Music was played all day and drinks available and the beach was only 5-10 mins walk away and the square was 10 mins walk away.
If your thinking of going go on the sling shot it was 35 Cyprus pounds and you go 2 people on 2 t shirts 1dvd and 1 pic and any other time it was 5 cyprus pounds and they would add it to your DVD 4 free.

I stayed at the Takkas Apartments with 5 of my friend’s one the first week and 4 more arrived on the second week. This was the best holiday I have ever been on!
The apartments were so clean and quite large if you had a 1 bedroom apartment. They put our group together so we didn’t have to far to walk when borrowing clothes which we thought was great!!
Food was great at the hotel, drinks were reasonable prices and Happy Hour 9-10pm everyday and with a spot of Karaoke was always a laugh! Safes were cheap and the air con was really cheap for 2 weeks! 24 hour shop was always handy, bar staff were great and always helpful!
The hotel was a 5 minute walk to the nearest beach, 5 minutes from the square and around a 10 minute taxi ride to Nissi Beach (It was well too hot for us to walk with a hangover)
Over the two weeks we never managed every bar or club in the square there is just too many and we all had different views on each one all good of course!! My favourite was the Castle Club and ICE! Bars such as Britannia and The Bell Inn were also great but beware the Bell Inn has got to be the hottest bar in the world!!!
After some easy drinking and some clubbing it was always wise to go clubbing and swimming in the River Reggie Club (1 minute from Takkas) this always ended a great night!! Try out the foam party in Club Play this as my friend said was better than the one in ICE!
We did the Booze Cruise one night great night lots to do on the boat don’t be put off by the bad publicity, but when they give you your photo remember to hold it is not a flyer so don’t throw it.
We also did the water park brilliant day out worth the money and 'go Karting' is next door if you fancy a break from the hot tiled floor in the park!!
The only bad thing about Ayia Napa in the square are the people trying to drag you into the bars and clubs!! With the clubs usually mention that you have already bought your tickets and they will get off your back but I’m afraid there is no hiding from the bar reps!
The bars shut at 2 as well so like me and my friends going at 12 we was missing a lot but that’s how we ended up in some great clubs some are expensive but hey your on holiday!!
We met a great group of lads too! So hello to the Manchester boys from the Grimsby girls!
Takkas is a great hotel for a group of young and lively people to relax in the day with some kool tunes around the pool, and the stagger home at night!

We booked Takkas as a late deal after reading other reviewers comments and were not disappointed.
Apts are in a great location a few minutes from both the beach {straight down the slight hill and through the roundabout - don't miss the gorgeous bakery on the right beside the museum - cakes to die for} and the centre of resort {down hill and take right at roundabout}.
Room was a generous size with good appliances and gas rings if you actually do want to cook in the room {not like the usual electric 'hot plates' you find!}.
Pool area and reception clean and staff very friendly. Safety deposit CY£4 for the week and air-conditioning charged by the hour {not sure of price but not expensive}.
Good on site shop with plenty of choice and you can hire electrical items such as CD players, irons, hairdryers etc which saves you bringing them with you.
Despite being billed as 'young & lively' there was a good range of ages, from people with children through to retired couples. We had no problems with noisy groups etc.
Rooms tidied and bedding/towels changed every other day.
I am only sorry we were there just for a week and would definitely return to the Takkas.

Well what can I say Ayia Napa is amazing. We stayed there for just a week - Stay for two otherwise you will be kicking yourself at the airport on the way back!
We stayed at Takkas and it was spot on. It was clean tidy and the staff were so friendly! If you’re feeling rather hot then ask the barman to chuck you some ice over.
It was perfectly located 2 minutes if that from the square and two minutes from Ayia Napa beach - A must by the way stunning.
The square is mental!! Starsky's is fab definitely worth a visit and a dance on the bar and Bedrock is a must as well. Get yourself on the bedrock beach party 3 hour freebar no joke! and keep an eye out for the blokes signing you up for the boat party it was fantastic! Worth every penny! You will need plenty of spending money not cos it’s expensive just cos there’s so much to do!
You will get pestered by all the reps in the square just say politely your evening is planned and walk by.
We will be definitely staying at the Takkas again and hopefully will go back in September there was too much to see and too little time!
