I booked a week at the Bella Grecia as a late deal for the beginning of the July. Me and my girlfriend were looking for a break where we could decide if we wanted to chill out or party hard as and when we chose (not being right in the thick of it!). In that sense we got exactly what we wanted! The Bella Gracia is nice enough but could probably do with a little updating in places. The room was basic but functional, neither of us were overwhelmed by it to begin with but it did serve its purpose and we couldn't complain given the price that we paid. It was cleaned every day and the towells changed every other. The hotel was family run and it did feel that way, the staff very friendly but reserving their best service for those that chose to buy the most food and drink on site and not the guests who took their money down town to spend it all there (and we were in town most nights!)
Location wise you will need to be active and ladies -you best pack your flat shoes! To get to the nearest shop is a 15 minute brisk walk and town is another 5 mins extra at the same pace. We found it best to head for the nearby beach during the day (which is just 100 metres away) and save walking that distance until the evening when it had cooled down -it was either that or rely on taxi's to get around, and we were on a budget!
Hanioti town itself is a pleasant and bustling place with plenty going on. Theres lots of good places to eat and many bars to enjoy a drink (or 5) afterwards. There isn't however anywhere to go dancing til the small hours and should you want to 'hit the clubs' until sunrise then this place isn't really for you, you tend to find only a few bars were open post 2am and none of them had a dancefloor!
In any case, I enjoyed my holiday overall and would probably return if another break here came up (although I wouldn't specifically seek it out by any means, theres a whole world out there!) If it comes up at the right price and your not expecting 5 star luxury then go ahead and book, you could do alot worse all things considered!!!!
P.S: If you do go and happen to see the kittens that live on the hotel grounds, I want them both - they are adorable!!!!

We booked for my Dads honey moon and I (15) went with Dad, my step mum and step sisters (18) & (13) . We liked this hotel and the area. Good place any families, with small children or teenagers. A family run buisness, with excellent BBQ on a thursday. We got on well with the owner Panos. All holiday we virtually had the pool to our selves, and met some nice people. Family run buisness, with excellent BBQ on a thursday. Nice pool bar and nice clean rooms. The hotel was a far walk to the town, so i don't recommend you take any heels, but taxis were avaliable. The hotel could have had nicer bathrooms, but overall it was an excellent holiday. We would all really recommend it.

Beautiful room, very clean with good self catering capabilities. Being on ground floor we had no balcony, but the plus side of this was a great terrace area looking over pleasant gardens and mountains and table and chairs to enjoy an evening drink.
Literally a couple of minutes from a lovely, very quiet beach from which you could walk all the way to the nearest towns, in either direction. The sea is unbelievably clear and calm, eighth a great view across the bay to the mountains beyond.
We were about 10 minutes walk from Hanioti itself, with its great lively restaurant and bar-filled town centre. There are lots of lively bars, artists peddling portraits in the square by night and watersports available by day. This is where we did most of our souvenir shopping, and stocked up on groceries at the excellent supermarket.
One place I’ll never forget is a bakery where we purchased fantastic cheese pies, delicious traditional cakes and a selection of handmade chocs that make my mouth water to this day! Here you could hire mopeds to explore all the interesting and quaint places nearby.
There are some great places to visit in the vicinity, in particular we loved Pefkhori, and a delightful fishing village packed with gorgeous white houses with blue shutters and some fantastic fish restaurants.
The proprietors of the hotel were about to have a pool put in when we stayed, but being close to the beach this is just an added bonus. They were warm, friendly, and welcoming, the bar is bustling of an evening, and they also serve a range of meals, though these were pretty much fast-food style, and nothing special - to experience more traditional Greek cuisine I’d recommend the walk into town.
