Anyway I couldn't have been more wrong, Hotel Laura is one of a chain of hotels in Spain, that are boutique and not expensive. The hotel is about 2 minutes walk from the Grand Vie which is the main shopping area in Madrid and where all the night life is.
It’s actually tucked away on a side street so it’s not noisy. But the hotel is amazing it's very modern and each room is slightly different, I really couldn't fault it, it's probably one of the best hotels I have stayed in for a long time.
The staff are extremely friendly and helpful and you get a continental breakfast each morning and the best thing about the breakfast is it runs from 6.30 till noon each day, so there is no need for that frantic dash to get our breakfast in the morning.
Overall the hotel is top notch and I would have no hesitation recommending it to anyone, I will certainly be going back to that hotel again the next time I’m in Madrid
