I booked this holiday basically because it was cheap! I never knew what to expect, we got to the hotel and went to the reception every one was very nice, the bloke behind the desk spoke really good English, he gave us a map of where to go to get to our room but as I was walking there I was really really surprised of how lovely it was it really was like a mini village. I would recommend this resort to any one of any age there were 4 of us (2 couples) all in our early 20s but it was great for all ages we made friends really easy.
There is loads going on all day and all night to keep you entertained. Steve, Lisa, and Kim are the entertainers and there class. Steve is a knock out and Lisa should be on the x-factor with here voice and trust me she would win it! Oh and Kim she is lovely too if she could help in any way she would! So in a nutshell don’t hesitate to book this holiday we loved it and are going back next year! Steve if you read this mate good luck in what ever you do .... Mike Jenny x x (Middlesbrough).

My girlfriend and me have recently returned from our first holiday together. As we booked last minute from teletext we weren’t expecting spectacular results...but were pleasantly surprised!
Macronissos Villiage on the outskirts of Ayia Napa is ideal for both families, couples and party goers. The complex is situated far enough from the centre to enjoy a quiet relaxing environment yet near enough to be easily accessible by a taxi (roughly 3CYP) or an excellent bus service every 20 minutes stopping at the apartments for only 70 cents! You could attempt to walk to the centre but we wouldn’t advise it in the heat!
If you don’t fancy the trip into the centre there are a number of restaurants, bars and shops dotted along the road the village is on, that seem to never end! so plenty of choice.
HOWEVER, why leave the complex when you have everything you need around you. The apartments are clean spacious and air-conditioned. There are also bungalows of which people also spoke highly. The pool area is central and is fantastic much larger than expected and plenty of free sunbeds.
We were self-catering and ate at Mac's Bar on the complex on a number of occasions and the food was plentiful, affordable and delicious! (the portions are more than generous!) All this as well as the bar being open 24 hours with happy hour between 5 - 7. One thing we would strongly advise is the all you can eat BBQ every Thursday for £7 (adults) but free if you win tickets like us!!
Staff at Macronissos will go out of their way to help and entertain you. The friendly bunch will immediately introduce themselves and become friends throughout your stay.
As for Ayia Napa itself we were dubious about it being dubbed a party central as this isn’t what we were after. However don’t worry the town caters for everyone no matter what your after. If its food you’re looking for try the kleftiko at Castelli's restaurant (superb).
If your after a party then you wont be disappointed with a number of bars and clubs to choose from that seem to come alive late-on so don’t worry if you have a family and wish to avoid them! But again night entertainment on the complex is a packed variety of fun and games till 1 am.
The beaches (and there are plenty) are extremely clean and the med is very clear so great for snorkelling. My girlfriend loved Ayia Napa harbour and there are plenty of boat excursions to choose from (we went on the Yellow submarine for a Fiver and would do it again great for kids and adults as you get to go snorkelling in the smugglers caves or watch from the deck)
If you’re not a fan of the waters than there is more then enough to keep you going on land with so many attractions and things to see. If your wondering whether or not to book, don’t worry, just do it! The only reason we gave this holiday a 9 instead of a 10 is that after 2 weeks we had to come home again!
