Patrick Punchs Hotel

I am happy to report that we have just returned from a very enjoyable 5 night stay at the Patrick Punch Hotel. I only have a few very minor negative points to mention. I always use this site before I book anywhere and so I feel that I should give a balanced and totally honest account for the benefit of other travellers. First the good..... The Hotel is clean, the staff are extremely nice, the decor is groovy, and it's not ultra expensive. Through other people's reviews I heard about the family room (which did not seem to be available to book anywhere online) and I contacted the hotel direct. The room was enormous! Lots of fluffy white towels, and everything as it should be. My children really loved the pool. Free towels on entry, nice touch! Hint: take your swimming cap, everyone must wear one. The gym looked superb. The jacuzzi and sauna were lovely. I appreciated the secure underground parking. Phew, no worries about the brand new hire car being stolen/damaged etc! The not so good: On the day before we left, our room was not cleaned, the beds had just been hastily made. In the restaurant we were twice asked for a 5 Euro supplement as we had ordered one of the more expensive dishes. It didn't say anywhere that would happen, which I thought was a bit off. The food was generally excellent but over a 5 night stay the kids menu was slightly restrictive and would benefit from more vegetables on offer and less chips. The breakfasts were plentiful and tasty but It would have been good to see some different items some days, (mushrooms? waffles?) just to add interest for anyone staying more than a couple of nights. When we checked out the bill was 200 euros more that the agreed rate but this was quickly rectified. I think that's all folks. We were generally very pleased indeed with our stay, and yes, I would recommend this hotel, especially from a value for money point of view. Have a great time!

We randomly chose Limerick for a weekend away and found the Hotel deal online for €99 BB and evening meal and were delighted. The Hotel is very modern with free parking and equal distance between the City center and the Crescent Shopping Centre. The Hotel facilities were great with a brand new fully fitted gym, swimming pool, sauna and steam room. The rooms were large and fitted out with luxury duvets and towels and flat screen TVs. Would recommend this Hotel without a doubt especially with the great rates they currently have!
