Just returned from a totally chilled out week at the Bizimtepe in Karaincir.
The small (25 room?) hotel has rooms that are basic, clean and comfortable offering good views out to sea, balconies that catch the sun until 4pm which means the rooms cool off for night time and mozzi screens on the windows (ie you can leave them open without fear of visitors). Aircon wasn't needed all the time as there is a constant, very pleasant breeze.
Choice of breakfast is good as is dinner if you choose to eat at the hotel (we did for 5 out of 7 nights) with traditional meze together with a couple of set dishes or a la carte. Fish, caught that day is usually available, barbecued in the evening.
The hotel has a cool rooftop bar that will continue to serve into the wee hours. We saw the sunrise at 5am on a couple of mornings.
The staff are very helpful, Cemal (Jemila) the Manager has a good grasp of English and actually understands our sense of humour. He even gave us a lift to the airport for our flight home after the taxi transfer co. went bankrupt during our stay.
If you want a loud, party hotel a la 18-30, or want to be surrounded by kids being entertained by an Animation team then choose another hotel. If, on the other hand you want a quiet, relaxing base to chill out during the day - 15 minutes from Turgutries (2 lira) by dolmus (stops right outside the hotel) 25 minutes from Gumbet, a 5 minute walk to a great beach (more beds than sunbathers) and 10-15 minute walk to Akyarlar for more bars/restaurants etc - then this is the place for you.
I have given a rating of 10 as I had no complaints during my stay, indeed this was the first time in many holidays that I wished i'd booked for longer. I appreciate this hotel might not be for everyone but i've been as honest as possible and hope the review helps.
