Booked this hotel to see the island of Ischia and to relax after a hectic touring schedule around Italy, and relax we did! The hotel far exceeded our expectations and was the best hotel we stayed in, in Italy. We had a large bedroom and the hotel was clean, fresh. A lot of thought had gone into this hotel, from the floor to the ceiling, down to the finest details. Plants a plenty indoors and outdoors - so relaxing and stunning.
Indoor spa pool (hot thermal water) and large outdoor pool with water fountain making lovely trickling sounds to relax you. Fantastic views from the garden (sea) and pool (mountains). Pure bliss!! No noise from the road as its set back down a driveway.
We paid for the half board option and were not disappointed with the daily set menu. Dietary restrictions were happily accommodated so long as you tell them as early in the day as possible.
Great value for money in out of season (June) too.
Top tip: take the boat straight to Forio - a much calmer arrival and departure than arriving in busier Ischia port.
To get the bus from Forio port to the hotel its a simple bus journey up the hill. The buses circumnavigate the island very frequently, stopping almost outside the hotel driveway, you can get to anywhere on the island. You can access so many lovely beaches and different villages etc from this hotel. (Plus walk easily to one nearby and get the bus back up the hill to the hotel).
We never waited longer than 5 minutes for a bus, and often they arrived almost immediately! Buy a roving bus pass (3 days or 7 days etc from the newstand by the port.
Ischia is a lovely island - we loved it, especially the Forio side. I cannot wait to return to this relaxing and charming hotel and tranquil island. I cannot fault this hotel, the staff or this area of the Island. This hotel is a hidden gem and is very, very, special.
