What can i say about Takkas. It was the perfect place to stay if you enjoy raving into the early hours and having a place to crash, either alone or with a special lady friend. No one in the hotel who i met takes life too seriously and therefore everybody had more fun, great... more

takkas was amazing full of young people - 18 to about 25 food is fit in there - full english 5.20 euro 24 hr supermarket right outside - smirnoffs & wkds 1.65 euros. big 2ltr of vodka about 17euros they have happy hours in the pool area - 9-12 nightlife just a short walk... more

Excellent Appartments + great staff from Nikki82
I had a really great time at the Takkas in June 2006. I went with one other friend who had had such a good time at the appartments and resort two years prior she wanted to go back. I wasnt expecting much as usual with these package holidays but the takkas was briliant. Small and intimate, great staff and only 5 minute walk away from the restaurants and bars. River Reggae is also just up the road if you want to carry on the partying until the early hours! Good Points - no noise problems, no trouble, great staff and guests, great location Go to Takkas - excellent value!

Highly recommended and a very welcome change from the hell hole that I stayed in the previous year (Eri Beach, Crete). Friendly staff and excellent service. I would say this is mainly targetted at young people and the facilities and entertainment suggest this. It was brilliant for what we wanted... great pool, 10 mins from the beach and 5 mins to the bars/clubs- perfect!

The apartments were both clean and large in size. The pool area was also kept clean and the staff were very friendly, especially Colin the night receptionist. The only bad points are that the beds were uncomfortable and the food was not upto standard. I would definately go back and stay at these apartments.

Very good clean basic apartments from missyEngland
I have just returned from two weeks there on my own. The apartment I had was spacious and clean. The view from the balcony was fabulous. I could see the whole bay of Ayia Napa. The cleaner came in most days. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. I felt comfortable and safe there. Very good central position for the harbour, shops, restaurants and clubs. Am definitely going back next year to stay at the Takkas Apartments.

I stayed there with my mum. I am 17 years old and I had a brilliant time, and to my suprise, so did my mother! The hotel was basic in terms of living arrangments, but as it was only being used to sleep in it was excellent as it was very clean, with hard working maids visiting everyday and leaving the place spotless. The people there were mainly Nothern Irish (ME) and they were so friendly. We made lots of friends. The entertainment was first class, hosted by none other than the great ROGER!! He made everyone feel welcome by hosting games of volleyball and drinking games by the pool. There were also visits from the reps so we had pool games against them. At night there was Kareoki, Bingo and a good laugh! Roger, Andreas and Chris made my holiday in terms of friendly and welcoming staff. The nightlife was amazing. We were situated just 5 minutes away from the pubs and clubs, and River Reggae was just up the road. An all night to morning pool bar. It was amazing. The beach is about 10 minutes down the road. I found Cyprus in general to be a bit expensive but the food and drink in Takkas was very cheaply priced and there were large portions, so you definitly got your moneys worth. I would absolutely go back to this location, if not for Roger the entertainer, but for the security, fun and good company that I experienced. They beant over backwards for you to make sure you were having fun, and that's what holidays are all about!

what can i say about this place? best holiday ever. met loads of brilliant mates out there and the apartment was fine. food was excellent and the staff out of this world. chris antoni amelie and patricia are freindly and chatty and roger the dutch muppet is out of this world. what a suck up lol paula is mighty fine looking and helpful too. will definatly be going back whether to work or holiday. cheers guys much respect........ mr james the welsh wonder of the world.............

I stayed here in july with my husband and 14 year old daughter. These apartments are not at all suitable for families. They are only for people who want a rowdy drinking holiday. Apart from my family there was only about two other families that I saw on the complex. The rest were all 18-30 year olds who spent the day drinking at the pool, spent the nights partying in ayia napa and from about 4am onwards they made life unbearable for the rest of the people who were staying at the apartments (between fighting among themselves in full view of everyone on the complex,stealing and fighting in the shop, making a nuisance of themselves in the pool all on their way home from a night out). The police were called three times in one night to calm things down.My daughter was terrified at what was going on-she had never experienced the like of this before and we have been going on foreign holidays since she was a baby. Any families who were there were unable to avail of the facilities, we couldnt use the pool as it was too rough for our children-adults drinking and playing dangerously in the pool all day every day; We couldnt use the bar at night as the entertainment was totally geared to these young singles the party games that were being organised were definitely not suitable not for 14 year olds. In all the only benefit we got from our PACKAGE HOLIDAY was somewhere to sleep and that was almost impossible due to the noise and goings-on.

The location of this hotel is superb! No more than a five minute walk to anything & everything. This aspect is by far the hotel's most appealing... We were hugely dissapointed when we arrived as we were taken across the road, away from the pool and the main building, to a disgusting annex which was comparable to inner city high rise flats. Dark, dingy, small and dirty! Everything including the air con was broken and groups of loacals hung around the door way. It felt so unsafe. We were not happy! We complained immediately and refused to stay there. We were told we could be moved the following day so we had to endure one night in what was a real hell hole. Upon moving we were much happier. The room was very spacious with separate longe, dining and bedrooms. We were overlooking the pool and so we felt much more part of the holiday atmosphere, rather than being stuck out in an anex down the road! The hotel is all very tired and in need of a total refurbishment but it's ok if you don't want/need to spend much time in your room. Location second to none but even so we wouldn't stay here again.
