Really had to add my comment when I read review from Mrs Dwyer.
She is right about being escorted to the apartments by a man but for us this was part of the greek adventure, our guide was pleasant, knowledgable and the fact that we had no luggage to carry as this is brought on a small van after u have been escorted to your accomm.was a plus./its also picked up for the return journey so no problem's there.
Our apartment was in the front and the bathroom and kitchen area were spotless and bedlinen sparkling clean. no smells
As for the air-con the remote control was on the bedside cabinet, no problem. The locals are fantastic, the restaurants are great the beach is as described but not all shingle mostly sandy.
Personally if we could have flown from newcastle 2007 we would have jumped at the chance to go back, unless standards have slipped terribly I recognised Stoupa but not the accommodation as she described.
Katerina's supermarket is the best and To Steki and his next door neighbour cafe/bar to die for.
Travelling by KLM via Schipol to Athens then hire car we think that Stoupa is a gem in a mediocre world but shush keep it under your hat.
The rep we had Lara was one of the best we have ever had, no need to go looking for her she was always where she said she would be when she was supposed to be and other times you could always find her at the Kosmar Office. At the Welcome Mtg in front of Echmea she even came and asked if she had been our rep in Rhodes two years before she recognised the name, which was nice as they must meet hundreds of guest over a season. The other two reps were always friendly and helpful if Lara was'nt there.

Stoupa is a small Greek village, with a choice of restaurants and a few bars. It’s nice enough but a week was sufficient.
The beach is shingle and was baking hot so remember your beach shoes. Gorgeous clear blue waters that you can easily be in all day. At the end of the beach there are pedelo’s etc for hire, but this adds to it rather than spoil the atmosphere.
The Echmea apartments are just at the back of a restaurant minutes’ walk to the beach but really could do with being updated. We were taken to the apartments by a man who met us off the coach, not a Kosmar rep. He let us into the apartments and then disappeared.
There is no reception area. We made our own investigations and found a local who was able to switch on the air conditioning for us, which was necessary, as it was 45 degrees.
Even the following day we had no Kosmar rep. The shower was a slight trickle of water. I actually bought air freshener from the local supermarket as the bathroom stank.
Very low key nightlife but pleasant.
