Kris Alicante Hotel Reviews
" We booked a week’s holiday to... "
Submitted By: Mrs H Moore
We booked a week’s holiday to Alicante online.
When we arrived at the airport we took a taxi to the hotel - we only realised on our return to the airport that the taxi driver had overcharged us by 4 Euros. Expect to pay an average of 15 Euros for the taxi to the hotel.
On arrival at the hotel the hotel looked very smart and pleasurable as soon as we walked in. It took us seconds to check in and we were directed to our rooms. Fortunately the hotel has lifts (for those who don't like the stairs!)
The room proved very comfortable and a very reasonable size. It had a vast array of television channels a huge double bed and a wall lined with mirrored wardrobes. There was plenty of storage room and the bathroom was very nice.
The patio doors opened out onto a balcony which was fairly spacious. The only drawback was that the balcony was enclosed and you had to open another set of windows to let the fresh air in.
The service at the hotel was fantastic and the hotel receptionists spoke English.
The breakfast in the mornings used to be a very hearty affair and there was something to suit everyone’s tastes.
The hotel was 8 minutes walk to the beach, 15 minutes to the town centre and 5 minutes to a huge indoor shopping centre!!
Definitely somewhere I would go again!

He said he was happy to help us find another hotel, we were very disappointed and told him to continue trying the reservation company. He told us to go away and try again later, he will continue checking.
We waited in reception for around an hour and went back to front desk to ask if I could make a call myself to the reservation company, only to be told to use the pay phone. I waited for 10 minutes at the front desk and then the person who originally served us said he has found our reservation. We were happy but also very disappointed with all the messing around. When my husband asked why were we first turned away and now suddenly you have our resrvation, and why they couldn't find the reservation with our surnmae or reservation number we were told it was on a different computer and then to be told it only appeared 5 minutes ago. My husband told him that it was really not good enough to be originally turned away, only to be told that it would be good for us and good for them that we find another hotel by using the company we originally booked with.
We were disappointed with the front desk service but stayed for the 4 night duration.
With the exception of front desk the hotel and breakfast was reasonable for the price we paid.
It was a 5 mins walk to a shopping mall which had a couple of reasonable price restaurants, the beach was 15 minutes walk. Bus stop an dmetro ran just outside the hotel.
Be careful they charge 9 euros a night for garage parking, but just outside on the road and behind the hotel there was road parking. But locals aswell as hotel resident seem to fight for the spaces.
Advice: Great city for a couple days visit, beach is fabulous. Worth a trip to Valencia whiilst there
Activities: Shopping mall near hotel had Ginos and Chinese restaurant very good and cheap
Good for: Beach City Breaks
