Villa Pane Hotel

Villa Pane is high on a hill above the city of Sorrento. It is more like an agritourismo than a town B&B. There is farmland, fruit orchards, and olive trees associated with this property. The family grows some of their own food and makes their own wine and olive oil. Our room was a large room on the third floor with a spectacular view. We stayed end of June for 5 days at Villa Pane in Sorrento. It was an exceptional experience in an authentic setting of southern italian lifestyle. Anna Maria and one of her 2 sons ,Giani Luigi, run the B&B with enormous effort and true empathy and so you feel how much they like to make your vacation unforgetable. Where i begin,,,? Its very simple..!Don't go there..! Dirty room,the breakfast don't exist,and the road for this B&B its very very dangerous. Be careful..

We went to Villa Pane for our honeymoon. We have enjoyed every aspect of our stay. It is located in the mountains and a free shuttle ride is provided to the centre of Sorrento. The family are friendly and welcoming and will go out of their way to make you feel happy and comfortable. We had a lovely room with a private sea view balcony and the room was extremely clean and comfortable. My boyfriend and I stayed with the Pane Family for 7 nights this year. The property is in the hills above the town so be warned, although it is possible to walk there, it is all uphill and will take you about 40 min! But the family offer a free shuttle to the town every day and it only takes them about 5 min to pop down and fetch you so it is no problem at all. Anna Maria and Gianluigi (mother and son) are wonderful hosts and nothing is too much trouble. On arrival we were offered a welcoming cold drink after a hot transfer from the airport.... more

It was a really good choice. Our hosts were really helpful and warm people and added a lot to our stay in Sorrento. We enjoyed our holidays from early morning - great breakfast, to late in the evening - chill out by the swimming pool or on the terrace.

The hotel is a real original family-operated Bed and Breakfast in the mountains above Sorrento. I found the hotel on the Internet www.villapane.it The hotel is very clean and the owner Anna Maria prepares every morning breakfast for her guest which you can take on the balocony with a view on the Golfo di Sorrento. A few of the rooms have a balcony and an own bathroom. Be sure to ask before you go whether you can get the panoramic "camera con vista". My partner and I stayed at the Villa Pane for nearly two weeks having booked the B&B after visiting their web site. We found the host and her family very friendly and helpful both on arrival and throughout our stay; inviting us on one occasion to joining them for Sunday lunch and drinks. The Villa is perched fairly high up outside of Sorrento and therefore you will need a car or make use of the local buses. Two years ago, me and my elderly mom visited this family run gem, which is perched high onto the hills above Sorrento. Back then it was still under the process of remodeling, which made our week there not in the least less enjoyable. Checking trip advisor, we were warned about not to try to drive up to the place yourself, because the street is so steep and narrow. well, we did, but only once ... it was indeed the only part of the trip, which made me sweat.
