Stayed in the Paul Marie for 2 weeks in August.

Was totally dreadin it after reading the reviews but it was totally ace!
The rooms were good size and the air con was really good, got a bit 2 cold sometimes!

The apartments are about 5minutes walk 2 the square but if your gonna wear heals get a taxi coz u will need 2 save your feet! The hill upto the apartments is a trek when you're sober!

The only bad thing about these apartments was the creepy bar man!

The pool isn't very big, if there is more than 2 lilos in there there's not much room for anything else!

Would definetly stay in these apartments next year!

Also if your gonna be bringin lads back just to warn you they have 2 sign in & pay for the night unless you can sneak them in past Simon!

Recommend Linekers & Carwash, best places to go! Also bedrocks for karaoke!

for starters if u have booked here cancel, this is by far the worst hotel iv ever been 2!!!!

i aint that fussy wen it comes to hotels on my holidays but this 1 terrible!

when arriving at the hotel we were left in the street as the rep drove off on the coach 2 check in ourselves, wen entering the hotel staff were miserable and unpleasant. the pool was pathetic and wouldnt pass for a puddle, which consisted of about 15 sunbeds and 2 broken umbrellas so get to the pool early if u want a space.

at 47 degrees we would expect the aircon to b working but 3 days it broke and they would not repair it or refund it, which resulted in the room smellin damp and it pumpin red hot air in! when it woz workin it only worked in the 1 room so the other room where my other 2 friends were sleepin woz still boilin and the noise it made woz unreal.

the matresses were hard and uncomfortable, in the other room 1 mate had a camper bed and the other the sofa. i dont think the floor was ever swept or mopped the whole time we were there as the floor was just constantly black

if your looking to sleep at any time of the day or night dream on coz the constant noise comin from the corridors is ridiculous at any time of the day or night. expect to have your electricity to b constantly turned off as well, as the electricty point is in the corridor and is UNLOCKED.

the rep was useless but he had the sack while we were there so that was 1 good point. the bed sheets always had stains and fags burns in them. the only view u got woz the view in2 other peoples apartment from the hotel next door. oh and the staff were useless, rude and very unprofessional.

after the time iv had here i need another holiday get over it...i wont b going back cyprus in hurry. we have now complained to thompsons about this hotel so if ur brave enough to still go ahead...good luck!!!

ayia napa woz ok for nightlife but certainly wasnt the best, my advice go malia...brill!!

i read reviews after we'd already booked the hols, and to be honest wasn't looking forward to staying at Paul Marie but when we arrived my friends and i were pleasantly suprised.

We were on the 2nd floor tho, so we were annoyed at having to carry our cases up 3flights of stairs, but the room was pleasant.. it wasn't amazing but it was clean, basic and jus the right size for 2 people.. we had to pay just under 50euros for the week for air con, and unfortunately it didn't work in our room as well as it did in my friends room..which was a let down, but to be fair...all we literally did was sleep and shower in our room..we were hardly ever there so again. we can't really complain.

The cleaners were OK, tidied the bathroom, and kitchen and provided clean linen,we did have to ask for the floor to be mopped but thats it.

We experienced no bugs at all, but someone else told us they saw roaches coming outta the hotel kitchen so we never ate from there and to be fair, it's more expensive to eat in the hotel then it is to go to a normal restaurant so i'd suggest u do the same. I highly reccommend LIQUID, its the best restaurant, very classy, high market..kinda like an upmarket Revolutions or Sal****er but with cheap prices...

The hotel bar was cheap the,2euros for a coctail, and the barman Simon is the best thing about the hotel, genuinely the nicest person you'll ever meet.

We went to the closest beach on our first day..not much to look at to be fair so we went to get our mopeds straight after and drove to Nissi beach..by far the best spot in Ayia Napa...so if your staying in these apartments make sure u book a quad or ped to do the 15/20min drive to the beach..it's deffo not walking distance in the Cypric heat. Or alternatively all taxis charge a set rate of 8euros per journey to wherever yr going so u can do that...

Overall.....Paul Marie is the best in the based location if yr on a raving holiday and if yr lookin to do anything else theres plenty modes of transport to choose from.. If u do decide to stay here i hope u enjoy it as much as me and my friends did. Yes the hallways are loud but what dya expect...everyones having fun!!!!!!!! ;-)

We arrived at this apartment, Left at the steps to check in on our own, had to climb two sets of steps with our cases to reach the room. when we got their i realised i had a camper bed my freind a sofa and my other two freinds two hard beds.

We decided to have a look at the pool which we got told was to be big, it was like a paddeling pool.

We had no veiws of anything, the beach was miles away.

we orderd air conditioning in which we had to pay for, the air only blew in one room making it freezing but the other room still red hot. it broke for almost three days and the hotel gave no refund.

If you want a night sleep you have no chance, the corridoor is always full on a night with constant chants!

overall i would not advise this holiday stick to greece!

Napa is a mega place, on arrival to Paul marie i thought JESUS what is this hole!!!

But i was pleasantly surprised, yes its basic and cheap but it is right in the mix of things and has everything you require.

Simon the bar is a good laugh, busy busy man, a few of the other rooms complained of cockroaches but we never seen any in our room, ( Even though there were a few scattered outside.

Air Con was fine when you purchased it, Swimming pool is the only let down very small and looks a little manky, Food is a good standard, drinks are always avliable..it has a good atmosphere and a 24 hr bar.

The maid came every other day and changed our sheets and cleaned the bathroom ( God bless her)

Brilliant holiday and for a lads holiday i would no hesitate to Paul Marie.

I f its 5 star you want then go to Maldives if its banter and chaos go to Napa and Paul Marie

Paul Marie Appartments where ok. basic but good. we didnt have any ants or anything. the cleaner was great and she came in with toilet rolls and towels most days. SIMON the barman was an absolute legend! i swear this guy doesnt sleep. he will always be there behind the bar what ever the time. the location was good. was very close to the nightlife and restaurants. its about a 10 minute walk from a really nice beach. it is also only a short distance in a taxi to nissi beach. overall this holiday was great. and i would recommend Paul Marie to anyone if they want a basic cheap holiday in a prime possition.

Well Ayia Napa was definetly the most amazing place I have been yet ...

We stayed at the paul marie which yes was small and a bit dirty ( althought the cleaner did cme everyday and change the bedding and towels every 2 days) but the food was great and the staff were amazing Especially Simon who will make you drinks rite through the night.

The pool was very small and got very busy bt its a young and lively hotel so there was always smething going on :) ... Cocktail hour every nte between 8-12 drinks £1 fantastic they will even let u make your own ...

If your jst looking for a place 2 sleep and shower than this is for you (air con is a must £4 a day) ... around a 1 minute walk from ayia napas main strip rite beside bedrock one of the best bars on the island ...

Probably wouldn't stay here again because of the pool bt I would definetly go bk for a drink :D

went for 2 weeks and I couldnt ask for a better location..right near all the bars and clubs and not far from the harbour beach....nissi beach wasnt walking distance though.. you would need to go by taxi or better still, hire a moped..

the rooms were basic but what do you expect for £188 for 2 weeks plus transfers to and from the airport and if that wasnt enough we even got food on the flight.

the room cleaner did such a good job, clean towels every day and cleaned the pots and pans too..

big respect to the barman SIMON... very hard worker.

overall it was a good holiday and very good value for money and just to finish it off, we had 2 hot sunny weeks.

Paul Marie is right in the centre of Ayia Napa town. I wouldn't advise anyone who isn't there for the nightlife to go to this hotel, as it really is in the centre of the nightlife!! An elderly couple were put there and had to be moved the next day. I really felt for them. The staff are really friendly, although you only really see whoever is working at the roof top bar. The pool itself is probabley the smallest pool i've ever seen, but I suppose if you want something thats really central then the size of the pool wont bother you so much.

The beach isn't far away if you fancy a change of scenery, and you only need to walk 2 minutes down the road until youve reached monastery square (the main nightlife). We were pleasantly surprised with the apartments. Really spacious!!!

If you are interested in a generally nice hotel and wanted it to be 18-30s with no children, then this is the place for you. It's pretty cheap too and the rooms are fairly clean. Though don't be expecting to sleep much as you are right in the centre of AYIA NAPA!! The only complaints I had was the pool wasn't big enough. Hope this helps!

Disgusting, disgusting, disgusting!!!I am not hard to please and am used to budget apartments but these "apartments " are by far the worst i have ever stayed in! within one hour of arrival i wanted out!! Dirty floors,my feet actually were sticking to them, vomit splashed up the curtains, stains on the bed sheets , a heap of metal stuck into the wall which sounded like a tractor and they had the cheek to call air conditioning!!

i have rated these 1 point merely due to there location, they are horrible and i wouldn't keep a dog in them. if you are unfortunate enough to have booked these, cancel!!!!

Well... what a holiday we had at this place! The staff were great and we had such a laugh with them! Boris (nickname) the barman was legendary and had a great sense of humour. The general atmosphere was fab and everyone was really really friendly.

From some of the previous reviews we were expecting a complete hole but we were really pleasantly surprised.

Yes it is basic but you do know this when you book. The rooms were clean and new towels were provided daily. The aircon was fine, infact sometimes it was so strong we were freezing!

It has a large bar area with internet facilities (for you fellow MySpace and Facebook addicts!), happy hour, pool tables, sky tele etc. Plus the food is champion.

The location is fantastic, literally a few moments away from the strip where all the clubs and bars are and only a swift stroll to the beach. There is a shop literally round the corner which sells everything you need.

As you can tell, we really liked it here and have already booked upto go next year!

See you soon Boris! X

The Paul Marie was very basic as expected, the air con was a con, it only worked in one room so the boys were hot all night and all electric goes off when you are out of the room.

The location was fantastic for nightlife and beaches are just a short distance away. It is perfect for young fun-seekers but I definitely would not recommend it to families (people loud coming in late at night etc).

The apartment became like home as the staff are friendly and attentive, Simon is a cracking barman and we will definitely keep in touch with him! As for cleanliness the cleaners done a cracking job!

We arrived at the apartment to find a room with ants and dead ants everywhere, a fridge that didn’t work, broken cabinets, dirty floor and shower and basically everything inside the fridge was dirty and some hair in it, there was a bloody pillow in one of the cupboards,

There was only 1 air conditioning unit which worked in one room only; therefore 4 of us had to share one room which had only 2 beds in and we had to pay extra £4 a day for the air con!

Cleaning of the rooms was awful, it looked the same before and after cleaning and the beds were never made.

The first night we complained about the room and said we wanted a new one. All the woman at the desk said was, "ohh there is always ants everywhere" and gave us a fly spray and said the apartments were full and we couldn’t get a new room and said a cleaner would come and clean the apartment, which never happened!
