Majestic Palace Hotel

All recent reviews on tripadvisor perfect,but a better bus service during day time would be a bonus. Lovely to stay by hotel at night anyway.

The Majestic Palace is a perfect place for familes with kids to visit Lake Garda. The staff are very friendly and helpful, the rooms are spotlessly clean and the grounds are well tended. All 3 swimming pools are well kept too and in particular for small children the Mickey Mouse pool (it looks like Mickeys head from above!) is perfect, just the right depths in the three connected pools (if a little cool on overcast days!). We have just returned from a weeks holiday at the Majestic palace with Inghams. The town is a lovely place to stay and a good port to visit other towns around the lake. Getting around is really easy we used the ferry a few times and the local bus. Having a pushchair with us wasn' t a problem at all. We found the whole place child friendly. There was a good park, behind the church by the bus station. A great place for our toddler to burn off some energy. We felt confident about our hotel from the minute we walked into the foyer! The reception staff's greeting was very friendly and efficient. Our room was brilliant, incredibly clean and very comfortable. The whole hotel was spotlessly clean! The food was lovely, varied and vast. We were half board but it was like being virtually full board as we got breakfast and dinner every day (with wine, beer and soft drinks on tap!), lunch 4 times and coffee every day 4-5pm if you wanted it. The Hotel Majestic Palace is an all round good hotel. With a good range of facilities the hotel is probably best suited to families. The buffet breakfast offers a good choice and the bonus of lunch 4 times a week means you won't have to spend to much money. And with wine and beer free on tap during both the lunches and evening meals, all of which is very drinkable, you never go hungry or thirsty. Could not fault our stay at the Majestic Palace in Malcesine. The food is of an excellent standard and so plentiful that we dread to think how much weight we might have put on. The fact that drinks are included with the meals is great when the Pound/Euro exchange rate is so bad; it helps to keep extra costs manageable. My husband and I hae just returned from a weeks stay in the Majestic and I have to say we couldn't fault it. It has recently been refurbished and the foyer, dining area and bar all look very plush and inviting. Our superior room was spacious with an excellent bathroom and very clean. Our balcony overlooked the main pool and bar (there are three altogether) which was great as it caught the afternoon sun - being on the side of the mountain there was no sun in the morning especially being so late in the year. We were at the Majestic Palace in August of this year & were a little disappointed with the hotel. We booked a deluxe room which apparently is in the new part of the buidling - to be fair the room was adequate but hardly deluxe. The shower amenities consisted of a small bar of wrapped soap & pathetic sachet of shower gel. The balcony was nice but they hadnt quite managed to fit the rail correctly & there was a gap at one end of it - very convenient for our 20 month daughter to crawl through! This hotel has recently been upgraded to a high standard. As part of the refurbishment, its name has changed from the Don Pedro to the Majestic Palace. The refurbishment to the reception, foyer and bar is to a very high standard. We were the second group to stay in the reopened hotel in early June 2008. My Wife and I have just returned from a two week break in Malcesine, staying at the Majestic Palace Hotel. We had a great time during our stay and were very happy with the hotel. The Hotel has recently been renamed after a refurbishment that mainly seems to have consisted of an extended ground floor, mostly the dining room and an update on the public areas.
