Astoria Hotel

We really liked the Astoria, it was clean and tidy and everything was good quality. Our only problem was the distance from Malcesine, quite a walk, if the weather had been good it would have been a very pleasant stroll but it was quite cold and rainy whilst we were there. We stayed half board and were very happy with the quality of the food and the service was excellent.
Our room was at the side of the hotel so no actual 'view' from inside the room but when on the balcony there was a good view of both the lake and the mountains. The Astoria is a family run hotel and they seem to work very hard keeping the hotel in good shape.
The pool is set in a lovely garden which was well maintained, unfortunately for us the weather was not good enough to try a dip. It was nice to sit in the bar and watch the windsurfers as the lake is just across the road.
