"Is it worth going to Pine Hill Hotel?"
5 / 10
(user rating)
Date of Holiday: Sep 2008

This is the second time we have been to Pine Hills. The first time was two years ago. Not much has changed and if anything the site has deteriorated. The Reef bar still aims to take as much of your money as possible through its various nightly activities. However, once you've seen them, you've seen them and second time around is not so appealing. The Reef bar decor is now dowdy and there is a disgustingly dirty pool table now in situ which is impossible to play on because the cloth is so damaged. The rooms appear to again have had no money spent on them (which actually didn't surprise us) and given how many places the mozzies can get into the room(s) we were so glad to have taken a mozzie net with us this time. An absolute must!!!! Whilst the food cooked on site is good, the evening set meal (which you are badgered into if you are weak willed) is of value for money only if you are able to eat the equivalent of two meals in one sitting (unnecessary really)! I'd suggest smaller meals and a cheaper price would equate to more bums on seats! Sadly I feel there is little life left in Pine Hills when you consider what is offered just up the road at The Orka Hotel. Brand new and close to the same price for the same holiday - no comparison really. We were very miffed we didn't book into there instead and just pop into Pine Hills when we felt like it. Oh well. At least the staff didn't hassle my wife this time in the way that some did last time we were there - they had been sacked. Good!

Just returned after an excellent hot and sunny 2 weeks in Hisaronu. Hotel is fantastic value for money and the food is excellent. Make sure you go to the BBQ!
No problem with insects so long as you take precautions and the room had air con which worked really well. Room was cleaned every day with fresh linnen and towels so no problem there - all the staff were really friendly and spent time entertaining everyone.
Loads to do around the area but whatever you do dont book a trip with Jewell in the Crown! All in all an excellent holiday. Look forward to a return trip sometime and would definately recommend the Pine Hill Hotel.

Date of Holiday: Aug 2008

just got back i feel i need a nother holiday but not there . the staff were ok very freind ly .food was good at the hotel but it was not cheap not that it matteed too much breakfast was ok but did not have cold drinks for the kids only tea or coffee so was forced to buy 5ytl for a coke fanta (2.20) its a **** take . the reef bar seems to go on all night with theme nights so lots of noise . whilst we were there a wedding party had moved in and on one night they were fighting around the pool ( nice family hotel not ) the rep was too scared or would not move them because they were spending money i belive they had been moved from one location because of the damaged they caused . we went with a party of 5 families and 3 famlies had to be moved due to the state of the room shower not working and the smell of drains in the bath rooms . would not recommend the hotel to stay at not to sure how you rate hotels aboroad but i would not let a stray dog sleep in these rooms . most morning there would be vomit in the pool side toilets sinks can only speak for the mens. turkey it self is nice people are good. bathrooms were discguisting had to lay towels down to walk across floor. beds felt like slate. definitely would not go back to pine hills although area was nice loved oludenis and fethiye nearby great night life in hisaronu but not very cultural turkish all english bars and clubs.

"we spent 2 weeks in pine hill and and..."
4 / 10
(user rating)
Date of Holiday: Aug 2008

we spent 2 weeks in pine hill and and from the start things went wrong. we were supposed to have a 2 bed appartment as arranged by first i mean last choice now and when we arrived at 1am after 10 hours of traveling we were given a huge dormitory appartment which could of quite easilly have slept 12 people that had no working airconditioning, doors that didnt quite fit the frames ,no curtains in bathrooms and mouldy ceilings also facing the reef bar where myself, wife and 2 children were unable to sleep due to the noise. we spoke to reception and they had no other rooms for that night and so forced to endure the first nights stay in the cattle shed!. the following day when we met our rep from first choice we had discussed the issues we had and it meant waiting a further 2 days for another suitable 2 bed appartment to become availiable...at this point all we wanted to do was to unpack so we decided the only option was to use 2 single rooms for the remainning duration. the air conditioning was not free! although first choice said it was so now we are faced with a bill of 2weeks for 2 rooms of air conditioning we were not amused... but with daily temperatures reaching almost 50c we dont have a choice and the hotel staff of course were quids in!
james our first choice rep was totally un-professional as giving us false infomation and using swear words in front of my children to explain certain issues after his vocabulary was obviously stretched!we also had arranged to hire a car for 2 days with him and on the day of the arranged car collection we bumped into him by chance only to be told that he has tried to arrange a car for us it would appear that there are no cars availiable working in turkey??? he then told us that he couldnt let us know as he didnt have credit on his phone! i was laughing at this point as we have obviously used the wrong travel company which couldnt supply there staff a means of communication in an event of there or our emergency if required! 50yrds from our hotel we found and hired a car for 2 days.
the staff at the hotel were very helpful and the food and service was fantastic we spent many days and evenings dinning at the hotel. mesut and saieed were brilliant pretty boy was just moody most of the time unless you were 18-29yrs and donning a swin suit.
the cleaners and laundry staff were also great and the turkish bath beautician and rosa was good fun.

the poolside was tretcherous as they have used oringinal marble walltiles for the poolside floor area which of course led to slipping, falls and having to take 100% care by the pool and that was just the staff carrying drinks the rest of us well it was just a free for all and a matter of time once you slipped up to the amusement of guests.

we were advised by last choice that as turkey was so cheap it was quite silly to go all inclusive and that food was very cheap NOT!!! although turkey isnt in the EU be expected to pay heavilly for food drinks and air conditioning. it seems to have been a 2 weeks of " oh its ok your on holiday just make do" i just wonder how many other couples and family have been mis led by both pine hill and last choice as far as we can see we will not be returning to pine hill or using any tour operator as on speaking with other guests using a similar tour company it would apear the results are pretty much identical.

finally on our last night as myself and my wife were sitting at the sky bar and in jest asked my son to go and buy some drinks for everyone....15mins late he returned with 3 vodkas and lemonade and 2 gin and tonics!..... HE IS 12 YRS OLD!! we were all discusted at this and felt we should let people reading this know the pitfalls of pinehill.

"we stayed at the pinehills apts in..."
8 / 10
(user rating)
Date of Holiday: Aug 2008

we stayed at the pinehills apts in august there was 8 adults in the party, yes we was guests of the wedding party who most of them did not stay in the hotel just used the reef bar a couple of times during the 2 weeks, the night of the fight was unfortunate but most of the people was not guests of the hotel and to be fair to the management it was cleared up quickly and with no more hassle for the rest of the hoilday.the staff was very good about it and yes we had spent around 5000.00 in the hotel bar and for meals but we had no complaints off most of the guests after that , but to be fair if a bar is open from late afternoon till 6 in the morning what to people expect from a group of teenagers anyway. the last night the managment put a foam party on for us and there was alll ages there and NO TROUBLE .

"I went with my girlfriend and we..."
1 / 10
(user rating)
Date of Holiday: Jul 2008

I went with my girlfriend and we enjoy both the days and evenings, yet with pine hills, most of the rooms face the pool and bar, which by 4am is still pumping out dance music with revellers spilling out and around, it was loud enough to keep both myself and girlfriend awake until sunrise on our arrival night and select nights throughout the week. It resulted in us becoming utterly exhausted only a couple days in even before any of our 8:30am excursions. If you get so drunk you sleep through anything you will be fine, if you want to enjoy both turkey and the hotel i would advise you look elsewhere, REALLY!.

"Pine Hills is gggggggreat"
10 / 10
(user rating)
Date of Holiday: Jul 2008

Pine Hill is a great holiday place. Its so friendly and lively, mainly due to the great bar/restaurant staff. They have a different form of entertainment on every night that varies to suit your tastes. its great for families, kids, teenagers, young groups, couples and the elderly.
The food is amazing, the Turkish night beats the rest by far as you an see it all in front of you and the time and effort that is put into preparing it.
Definitely recommend!!

"we just got back after 2 weeks at the..."
5 / 10
(user rating)
Date of Holiday: Jul 2008

we just got back after 2 weeks at the pine hills complex in hisaronu.
the good points 1st, staff were brilliant, sonny was always willing to help with any questions or problems, sherriff thinks hes the top dog around the pool continuously trying to throw all the guest in the water. (i took great pleasure in throwing him in though) all the staff seemed to think i resembled the turkish president so it was quite nice to be treated like royalty for 2 weeks. but seriously after going on holiday to spain it was very refreshing to be somewhere where the people genuinely liked their customers. hisaronu was a lovely place and it wont be our last visit there.
if anyone is having a birthday out there try angels they were fantastic and laid on indoor fireworks and a mini cabaret. the only bad meals we had were in the all you can eat chinese / indians where the meat was not the same quality. the chinese above the azda supermarket was very nice.
the weather was about as good as we have ever had on holiday (thats if you like it hot)
but the best thing about turkey by far was the people they made the holiday.
i was a bit aprehensive before we went as i thought with it being a muslim country they would all be walking about in burkas and in in your face a bit. but it was nothing like that it was actually nice to see the other side of islam where theyare not extreme at all.
one thing you must do is go to the zombie bar just before the call to prayer chants from the mosque you certainly know your abroad and its very theraputic, although this might have something to do with the jugs of larger they sell for 10 ytl.
now the bad bit's.
pine hills, no air conditioning in room, no fridge in room, we booked bed and breakfast but had to pay for our cold drinks and serials. breakfast was very poor and not really worth comming down for. if you take one bit of advice make sure you book a hotel with air conditioning and a fridge. we asked for a tour round the han hotel (english hotel) and thats where we will be stopping next time. you can book it direct for £30 a night and the room sleeps 6. hope all this helps.

Date of Holiday: Jun 2008

just got back from yet another holiday in hisaronu loved it as much as i did the first time i went this is the 4th time lots have changed this year but still as nice as ever prices up a bit more and people still friendly as ever but not scared of asking 4 tips done lots of trips again and can highly reccommend jeep safria a must to do [prepare to get wet but fun] and also if want a good night do talk of the town really funny weather very hot in the day and nignt it touched 45 [117 degrees] in the day and night was 30 [88 degrees] so recommend air condintioning or if that is broke like ours a fan from reception lets go on to the hotel now i could be tell you whats good but it is easyer to tell you whats bad and it is the worst one we have stopped in it starts when you get there this was at 5 oclock in the morning after you check in they take your bags to room and wont move till you tip them when all you want 2 do is collaspe on your bed after travelling all day then when you do get to bed you lie there listening to very loud music from the so called famous reef bar this is every night i stopped in room 132 where it looks like a war zone with all the mosquitoes spatted on the walls but if you like animals it ant a problem cause you will see lots these include cockroaches spiders and very big eareywigs wich are in the bed linen so shake the covers every night and they do hurt as my missus found out dont bother with shower in morning as no hot water and the best time to get hot shower is in betwwen 4 and 630 as after that it is warm then a hour after that cold rooms are not cleaned very well as we had a paper on the floor that was a month old you only get clean towels and bed linen every 4-5 days if you are lucky as my parents stayed in room 137 and had same problems but at least our bed was not broke like theres we stopped bed and breakfast but only had it on the first day where it was not very good just basic turkish food if you want hard boiled eggs there is a charge of 2 lira and if you want english breakfast its 10 lira as we then never ate there we were pested every day to eventually we had a breakfast to try and shut them up it looked really nice when brought out but it was just like the showers in the morning cold also if you drink in there sky bar your prices go up the second week you are there beer 4lira to 4.50 lira but if you want good food try the suntrap cafe or the shanghai blues chinese restaurant but despite this we will go back next year for the 5th time but not to the PINE HILLS
