Absolutely Horrible
I have been going to Hisaronu for many years but this was my first time to the Pine Hills Hotel, I was very weary about trying a different hotel but i thought surely it couldnt be to bad ,HOW WRONG WAS I TO THINK THAT!!!!!! there was 2 adults n a child n they stuck us upstairs on the first floor so that was fun at the end of the night carrying the pushchair up the stairs lol Some of the staff was ok i suppose but hussain was terrible he made me feel very uncomfortable he was friendly at first but after he found out that it wasnt our first time to the resort he was really funny with us all he did then was ogle at us n follow us around . We booked bed n breakfast n well that was a waste of money the breakfast was totally rubbish its ok if u like tomatoes n cucumber n pitta bread first thing in a morning but if u want anything else ud better take ur money down with ya If your a deep sleeper then this hotel is for u coz least then ull be able to sleep through the noise from the reef bar at night , im not old n past it but at half 4 in the morning n the music is still blearing out n a 3 year old still awake n getting ratty coz she cant sleep its not good is it I wud of complained to our rep about this problem but well we cud never find him which wasnt very helpful. when all said n done i didnt enjoy my time at this hotel but i did enjoy my holiday all we used this hotel for was to shower n sleep coz after that we just went out n about to spend as little time as possible there !!! If this wud of been my first time to this resort then it wud of put me off going back again coz of this hotel n the staff there but im thankfull that its not my first time n ill definately be going back to Hisaronu next year but ill definately be staying else where !!!!
Pine Hell`s ,Yes It Truly Is Hell!!! Avoid At All Costs...
Horrible,Horrible,Horrible hotel & apts.Dirty, tatty, run down rooms.Smell of sewerage, stagnant pond attracting even more mosquitos which couldn`t be kept out of rooms due to gaps under doors/window frames.Flies on breakfast buffet.Deafening noise from the Reef bar, music played at full volume into the early hrs 4am,6am...People consuming vast amounts of alcohol, shouting, chanting, fighting & sometimes using whistles!!! making sleep impossible & our holiday a misery.Rep uninterested in our concerns & more interested in larking about with the young hotel staff. But worst of all a child drowned in the deep hotel pool,my husband & I ran over to assist as people were shouting, screaming. My husband administered CPR until medical assistance arrived but the poor little boy died. The hotel & Thomas Cook did nothing to help us or our children as we were all extremely upset. They showed no concern, care, support or sympathy. They refused to move us to a different hotel even though the tragedy happened on our 2nd day & we had 2 wks ahead of us. I would not wish this place or the way Thomas Cook have treated us on my worst enemy-APPALLING! We were refused holiday complaints forms by the rep whilst at Pine Hills & have written to the Chief Exec`s office on our return but they have dismissed all our complaints & refused to give us our money back..They have treated us with complete disregard so in our opinion avoid Pine Hills hotel,Hisoranu,Turkey & Thomas Cook at all costs. All they want is your hard earned cash & once they`ve got it they couldn`t care less about you.Despite what happened we love Turkey, the Turkish people are generally warm & welcoming. The blue lagoon at Olu Deniz is stunning. The Green House Restaurant in Hisoranu is fab, great service, food & staff. We are still trying to recover from our holiday from hell & need a lovely holiday to get over 2 weeks of Pine Hills(Hells)hotel & apts!!!!
A more friendlier place you wont find !!
Was very reluctant to go to Turkey as this was my first time. I could not have picked a better place. The Staff were superbly lead very well by Sonny (The BOSS!!) Great food, great service, we were treated like royalty. Going back in May 2010 and September 2010. Would highly rcomend this place to anyone, either as a holiday or a trip with yoiur family. You will get the best welcome ever !! Special thank you to the rest of the staff, Shine Sharif, Alli and of course not forgetting Junior (the baby!), the restaurant staff Hussein, and his motley crue!! The rooms were immaculate and vey well kept, the restaurant food was to die for (all thanks to Sonny's MUM !)
great location
just got back from staying at the pine hills for two weeks, had a great time the staff at the reef bar sheriff, ali g ,junior and (oh my god) shine were real entertainment, it cant be easy being smily 24/7 for 6 months, the restuarant staff also very good, the food was good, the pool was clean , the room we had was very small wouldnt have like a third person in there with us which some do, it was really noisy i thought they were in the room with us most night but then our room was near to the reef bar perhaps they should consider double glazing windows for these rooms, not the best beds very low but after some wine every night slept quite well. i would go back for its location and friendlinest, it is a 2 star hotel and that is what you get but the good out way the bad, hopefully will return one day
good location..reasonable value...hotel in desperate need of renovation
Just come back from the Pine Hill. Went their 7 yrs ago and i will have to say that the hotel is in desperate need of renovation. Staff in the bar absolutley brilliant very entertaining and friendly also the staff in the restaurant brilliant. Just to mention Ali, Sunshine,Tic,Freddie,Junior and James and Jesus in the reastaurant all brilliant. Food in restaurant very good and well priced one of the best in Hisaronu. Prices in bar for drinks very good. Downside the rooms need some work doing on them only had 2 warm showers in 2 weeks, the bathroom smelt of drains. Bed rock hard and cover that we had at night was old duvet cover and hardly covered us. Reef bar went on till some nights 6 in the morn so we did'nt get a lot of sleep although sometimes they did shut the door, but was still quite loud. Staff and customers were outside talking and smoking till very late in the morning. Staff in the morn getting breakfast were very loud and argued a lot. Breakfast not very good had to pay for cornflakes which we had'nt anywhere before and had to pay for fruit juice the only drink that was free was tea and coffee which was awful. Only went down for the 1st week then could'nt be bothered. Overall all hotel in good location but has gone down a lot and wont be going back.
The noiseiest hotel in the world, but.......
I read the reviews of this hotel before going so I had some idea of what to expect. We found the staff very friendly, funny and welcoming. There is a great atmoshere in this hotel. We tried a couple of the evening meals and although they were of a very good standard they were far too large to finish, such a waste. The rooms are very basic but clean, we had no air conditioning , tele or mini fridge. The bed as described previously is indeed like concrete and we all ended up with very sore backs. The sheets and towels were changed most days. Luckily we couldn't hear too much of the Reef bar but we were woken every night at 5am by our neighbours returning. Also we were next to the laundry and this kept us awake. Then there was the cockerel. And to top it we were bhind the restaurant so we could here the staff talking loudly and sometimes shouting at all hours. Then there was the noise from the very small road outside but the coahes used it and the dustbin lorries came at night My husband informs me that there are two urinals beneath the restaurant, one which overflows and the other has a hole in it so it's contents just fall to the floor over your feet. The location is good, right in the centre of Hisaronu with everything on your doorstep. All said and done we had a great holiday but next time we'll probably go for a hotel a little more luxurious.
Never again, should be shut down !!!!
Upon arriving at this hotel we hoped that they had dropped us at the wrong one !. It was absolutely shocking. When they opened the door to our room, i felt sick the smell of sewage was just over powering, we were then informed we mus'nt open windows between 12 - 6 !. The second room was slightly better. The music from the bar goes on well into the early hours most days until at least 4 am. The staff are friendly enough but only because they want your money, and the drinks and food are very over priced. A bottle of water round the pool is 5 times more expensive than the shop outside the hotel. The grounds and rooms of this hotel are dangerous and are in need of vital work. I have stayed in numerous hotels throughout the world and this is by far the worst. The pool is filthy, and we were shocked to hear that a child had recently drowned. This has not put us off going to hisaronu as it is a great place to stay, just not in the run down Pine Hill Hotel. This was far from the relaxing holiday we hoped.
Beware
Weve just got back from Pine Hill for the 3rd time. The last 2 times were great. This time it was awful. The staff are unbeleivably pushy. They got very nastuy if you left they bar and if you invited other guests to join you well you got a mouthful to say the very least...NEVER AGAIN......Hisaronu is still great just not Pine Hill
Truly outstanding staff
On arrival at the Pine Hills I was a concerned about how basic the room was. There were old wooden windows which didnt block out the sounds of the dogs howling or the cockerel at 5am in the morning (this I did get used to after 2 nights tho!) The balcony was very small and the bathroom was a wet room which was so small you could sit on the toilet to have a shower (no cubicle just a shower head on wall)! Breakfast was basic - pitta, bread, toast, jam, feta, salad & tea / coffee. However the menu for other meals was brilliant and the standard of food fantastic...... all food is organic as the owner has a plot of land. Many people come into the hotel that are not residents to eat. The sunday dinner is brilliant. What makes this hotel is the staff. They are absolutely fantastic! The owner Sonny remembers everyones name and is always about t the pool side and serving in the restaurant in the evening and then he DJs in the bar at the nightime. Other staff which stood out are Jesus and Hosein who serve drinks and food all day and night and Wesley on reception who was so smilie all of the time. They work such long hours but are always in the best of spirits. It is such a welcoming hotel. If the rooms were renovated I would be back at this hotel tommorow. I would say its a 2 star in respect of the bedrooms but the staff and service are definitely 5 star and will do whatever they need to to ensure you are happy. The hotel is very central and a few steps out of the door and you are in Hisaronu which is such a lovely place with lots to do. I would recommend the boat trips. We used Carole and Tayfun and they were excellent. I would also recommend a visit to Booty salon if you like having your nails and hair done at bargain prices. Happy Holidays!!
excellent hotel and staff
stayed at pinehills in may of last year second time we've stayed at the hotel but first time with our son. The staff we're great and couldn't be more helpful with my son if needed milk warming up the would do it and could keep milk in the fridge in the bar if needed to. Also food was great and the rooms were very good, they put us it the quiter part of the hotel and provided us with a cot for our son. Will be going back again this year.
