I went to this park with my husband and 2 kids, we didnt expect too much just thought it would be a few days away from home. The staff are really friendly always got a smile on their face, we stayed in a gold caravan which was really nice right in front of the outdoor playground, well handy for keeping an eye on the kids from the caravan. The food was really nice and the entertainment team really deserve a medal for their hard work and enthusiasm. We have already booked to go back to Carmarthen next year on one of their 2009 booking offers.

We booked a 3 bedroom chalet on the beach front. The accomodation was fantastic, well furnished with extras such as washing mahine, dryer, sky tv etc. The chalet was double glazed and heated. The chalet was fab, we could sit on the patio and watch our children play in the sand and paddle in the water. Its a small park, which I liked, with very little traffic, and you had the feeling that it was very safe. The club was great, childrens programe fantastic. The outdoor park was really good too. They also had an indoor play area which was good if a little small. All staff were friendly and helpful. We had such a relaxing holiday it was great, normally with children, you come home needing a break to get over the holiday, but this park is so relaxed and peaceful, that you really can relax.
The only reason I have not given this a 10 is that the pool complex, though really good, could have done with being a bit warmer, as it was quite cold. It could also do with more regular cleaning.
I will definately be booking to go again though!

We got this accommodation through a newspaper promotion so didn't pay much - but didn't get much either.
We got a bronze chalet - the company seems to be committed to the continuing use of these chalets due to the provision of partial double-glazing and that the decoration and furniture being in good condition and yet in some areas the level of maintenance was somewhat lacking.
The website says that bronze accommodation has 'all your homely comforts at a great price' and yet here's a list of issues we found that certainly weren't homely...
No heating (remedied after a visit to Reception);
4 light bulbs blown or missing (of 11 in the chalet);
Cracked bathroom hand basin;
Damaged bath panel;
No bath plug;
Woodlice seen in bathroom, double bedroom and lounge area;
I had to wipe black mould off the walls of my child's bedroom;
Damp in the area of the hot water tank;
Black mould on kitchen window blinds;
Cracked wine glass;
Fridge that smelt;
Pipes that made a loud noise when the hot water was turned on.
After we left I contacted both the site and HQ to ask if this was the general standard of their Bronze accommodation but didn't get a response.

When we pulled on site we thought that it looked very dated, but we were wrong. Our silver 3 bed chalet was wonderful. The kids clubs were fantastic.
Swimming pool wasn’t huge but was OK, flume wasn’t open much but that didn’t stop us going swimming. We were 10 seconds from the beautiful beach, and right near the kid’s park which my kids loved.
At night it was quiet which was nice and meant we all slept well. The band, Electix and the other entertainments Andy Greaves and Lewis the puppet were fantastic. The entertainment was brilliant and the teamsters were amazing. My kids are 13, 12, 8 and 5 and they really enjoyed the holiday as much as me and my hubby. We all really miss the staff, Lucy, Andy, Spike, Jill, and Joanne. They deserve a medal for being able to keep our kids entertained! My son won the karaoke competition but unfortunately they give you a free return holiday to sing in the finals but it is in the school term which my kids couldn’t get off school.
The food and drinks in the complex were great and not too pricey; the shop was very well stocked and quite cheap. There were loads of competitions for all ages which were brilliant. The only reason I am giving it a 9 instead of a 10 is because it would have been better if they could do the finals for the comps in the October half term or a weekend break instead of in school term time.
Will definitely go again in the future because it was the best holidays my family has ever had, I would highly recommend it to everyone.

We stayed in a bronze chalet in Park Resorts Carmarthen Bay Holiday park, with our 1 year baby boy and our 3 year old daughter. Note we only booked bronze as there was no higher level accommodation available and it was described as the ideal family option.
The accommodation was not clean - even after they sent the cleaner back a second time - we gave up and cleaned it ourselves. The chalet was very small, tatty and run down, with windows that weren't sealed and didn't open/close properly and there was a fridge/freezer positioned in such a way that the wires and pipes at the back were exposed (and could not be moved because of the limited space) - very unsafe for a crawling baby.
We would describe bronze accommodation as very basic accommodation, not at all suitable for those with young families.
The children's soft play area was not very clean either, and had a leaking roof and was not often open when we wanted to use it - for no good reason that we can think of. It was unmanned meaning that hordes of older kids (most of whom were too old) would suddenly descend making it enormously dangerous for our children who were happily playing. The children's outdoor play was not finished yet - and no work seemed to be progressing.
The only reason we gave this place 2/10 was the indoor swimming pool complex, which was excellent (just a shame about the opening hours, and the flume was rarely open and then for only 5 minutes at a time, much to the disappointment of our daughter). And also the park is on a river/estuary with a beach and the views were amazing.
We did complain to park resorts and two letters later we got 35 pounds in compensation - although they did not actually answer any of our queries nor assure us that this was an exception and that anything was going to be mended. Therefore, we will not be going to any Park Resorts parks in the future.

Excellent location for exploring the area. The views from this camp are really good as you would expect in this part of the country.
However, the accommodation is really dated (and not too clean it had to be said) and the menu in the restaurant is very limited (especially the veggie choice).
The club on site is also very small and the shows are not too great (even though they have a plaque on the wall saying Robbie Williams stood here!!!).
The swimming pool on the other hand was really good and a must if you visit the site!
