The Chocolate Hotel

I have just spent a night at the Chocolate Boutique Hotel and am totally dissapointed following the website description and hype. This is not even a hotel, it is at best a guest house and no way is it a boutique except for the room rates. The room was small, the bathroom even smaller and no way does it meet the promises on the wesite made by the owners. There is no front desk, room service, bar service and check-out is 10.30 as apposed to 12.00 as you would expect in a hotel charging these rates. The owners are having a... more

We've just returned from a 'chocolate weekend' at the Chocolate Boutique Hotel and I can honestly say we loved every minute of it! The trip was a very generous gift from friends to my partner for his 40th, so we'd been studying the hotel's website for weeks with great anticipation and excitement, and I'm happy to say the real thing didn't disappoint. We had the Aztec room for three nights over the Easter weekend and had a thoroughly enjoyable stay. The hotel itself is perfectly situated on a quiet road but only a five minute walk to decent bars, restaurants and to the main shopping area of Bournemouth. In fact it couldn't be positioned any better! The Aztec was quite spacious with a very comfortable bed, leather sofa and luxurious furnishings. The thick pile carpet was v. nice underfoot too.
