Lance Aux Epines Cottages

My husband and two teenage daughters stayed at LAE cottages this past August. We made our reservation here based on previous reviews on Trip Advisor. We e-mailed the cottages and we had no problems with the reservation arrangements. The secretary who corresponded with us was very timely and helpful. We stayed at the Gaulin cottage. We recently returned from a 5 day vacation to Grenada. We stayed at Lance Aux Epines Cottages and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We rented a 2 bedroom 1 bath cottage and did not want to leave. Our cottage was clean, attractive, well maintained and much more attractive in person than depicted by the pictures on the website. Just back from a week at the idyllic Lance aux Epines cottages. We'd done plenty of research on accommodation in Grenada - including Tripadvisor, naturally! – and chosen the cottages for their setting and location,as well as their value for money. They did not disappoint in any way. When you consider that you are sharing a beach with the Calabash Hotel (twice the price for a week's B&B) and the only outdoor extra they get is a swimming pool... We spent 10 days at the Lance Aux Epines cottages in early October and had a wonderful time. We (2 adults and 2 children) stayed in one of the two bedroom cottages. This was our second trip to Grenada - the last time we stayed on the Grend Anse side. Compared to Grand Anse, Lance Aux Epines is quieter and, in our opinion, better. Our stay in Grenada included a few nights at Lance Aux Epines Cottages. It's a very nice place; right on a beautiful beach, and convenient for both St. George's, the airport, Grand Anse Beach, and a number of restaurants, including Grenada's best, which is Gary Rhodes' restaurant Calabash. The apartment was clean, nice and comfortable. Best of all, the staff were extremely friendly and accomodating when we needed to change our booking. So absolutely good value and highly recommended!

It's taken me ages to write this review but that is absolutely no reflection upon our time spent this May at Lance aux Epines Cottages. We had a fantastic time there and would thoroughly recommend it - although we wouldn't want everyone to find out! A group of 6 friends from the UK we were over in Grenada for our Grenadan friends' wedding. We stayed at Lance Aux Epines (pronunced Lans-O-peens) Cottages after a 2 week sail through the Grenadines. Our Cottage contained two bedrooms - each with a full bathroom, a large kitchen, and a large comfortable living space that looks out onto Prickley Bay. Each bedroom had very efficient air conditioning. Each cottage was about 75 feet from the beach, with cool, green grass between. The beach is long and very nice, but it is public. We had visited Barbados last year with friends but this year just wanted a relaxing week after 12 months for ups & downs, we had meet some Barbadians who when asked (half joking) where do you go for a holiday? I have just returned from my third trip to Grenada and my third stay at Lance Aux Epines Cottages. Although there were and continue to be numerous reasons why Helen, her mother (my mother-in-law), and I enjoy Grenada, my principal reason has been the scuba diving available – and available only steps from the Cottages with ScubaTech: a wide choice of dive-sites offering coral reefs of varying depth and marine life in both the Caribbean and Atlantic and various wrecks to explore. If you are lookong for a bit of space and a quiet location with good nearby restaurants then this is the place for you. We recently went as a family of 4 and stayed in the cottages - they came well equiped with kitchens ( no TV which was a godsend !) There was plenty of space both inside and out for the kids to run around and enjoy the small beach and kayaks. There were plenty of good restaurants nearby if the thought of cooking on holiday is a no no. The games room with TV provided a welcome distraction from the heat sometimes. One... more
