Just got back from Parga and don’t know how I’m going to cope. Having travelled to most European holiday destinations, Parga is without doubt the best place we’ve been.
We stayed in the Mara studios situated in a quiet part of the town but only 5min stroll to the bustling centre.
The apts were usual simple Greek s/c accom but very clean and the maid very friendly.
One down side was that although there was a pool it could have done with a bar, but the hotel opposite had a bar and restaurant open to non residents.
The town itself was exceptional.
I’m not going to name the best of everything because what’s good for some is not for others, but I would say it’s probably best to eat in the side streets as the restaurants on the front can be a bit pricey.
There are 3 beeches within waking distance, probably the best can be found the other side of the castle .. Valtos. There are numerous other beeches to get to via water taxi, all of a good clean standard, most with watersports.
I’m not going to go too much into detail because you need to discover Parga for yourself.. What I will say is if you want busy, quiet, bars, restaurants or you’re a couple, family, elderly, young.. everything is there.
