This without exception is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. After an overnight flight we arrived there and in hindsight should have found another hotel. There was no orange juice ever for breakfast, they had run out of tea and water for the tea/coffee and there were no toilet rolls. This was not a one off; there was no soap or toilet rolls in the toilets in the hotel for the rest of our week.
The pool was a death trap as the tiles around it were really slippy, I slipped twice and saw other people having bad falls. There was some really dirty fake grass around the edge of the pool but this made the problem even worse. I used the pool for a couple of days until I was tipped off that the hotel did not put chlorine in the pool so I stopped using it. The loungers around the pool were completely filthy and the bulk of the loungers were broken and could not be adjusted. All the parasols were broken so no shade available in the afternoon. The pool toilets did not flush so needless to say I didn't use them.
At the pool bar and main bar at night they gave you plastic tumblers which were rough around the edges and they only rinsed these in cold water and made no attempt to clean them. The water dispenser had green algae growing around the sides but thankfully other guests complained and actually got this cleaned.
For 2 out of our 7 days there was no running water whatsoever in the hotel meaning you couldn't even flush the toilets or turn on a tap, we just left for the day to go to the next village as complaining was futile.
The food was very poor - salad, chicken and meat balls every meal ,every day and the food was luke warm. The food looked like slop and didn’t taste much better. Breakfast was salad and eggs! The only fruit all week was melon.
A number of people had their safes emptied and passports etc stolen. I discovered that the staff and then the guests all knew the override code for the safe. I tested this code on my safe which opened it. We then had to lug all our valuables with us everywhere for the rest of the holiday.
We stayed in the main hotel and to be fair the room was quite good and as we tipped the cleaner well the standard of cleaning wasn't bad. We were lucky though, some people had to stay in the self catering apartments which ended up flooding due to a leak in the solar heating system.
Any time I complained to the manager was a waste of time. He was in love with himself and he was only interested in chasing women. His attitude was awful and he couldn't run a mud hut let alone a hotel. The waiters, although friendly weren’t much better and would chase two flies up a wall. They propositioned every lone female that arrived there which became very tedious.
On the 5th day I got really sick and 7 days later I still have chronic diarrhea and am awaiting test results from my doctor to see what I have. I have never had a worse stomach bug in my life thanks to this dump.
How anybody could recommend this hotel is beyond me. It does not even deserve a one star. I am complaining to my travel operator with the view that this hotel needs to be shut down for the health and safety of everyone. Apparently the hotel is in the process of getting taken over which would explain the standards and attitudes.
Turunc itself is a lovely little village and the average age there would be 50-60s. The beach is really beautiful but the downside of the village is the road into it from Icmeler. There is no costal path so you have to go up the side of the mountain and then back down again. The road is right on the edge of a sheer drop down the cliffs and very windy. The standard of driving in Turkey is very poor and we almost had a head on smash on the side of the cliff thanks to some idiot on the wrong side of the road. The bus takes 30 mins to get to Icmeler but be warned if its full they drive past you and the bus only runs on the hour for most of the day. We got stranded in Icmeler for 2 hours because of this. The water taxi that runs is great though, well worth doing for the view of the coast.

this is a warning to all who stay at this hotel do not use the safes. we had £160 taken over ten other families also had money, phones and gold taken.. All the staff have the over ride code for the safes so do local shop keepers ,so do you its 16 16 16 and it opens every safe so when you go out. they have a look at what they can take and when you try to re enter your code it will say error and this has been going on all season.they are not daft they take £20 £40 etc at a time so you just think your over spending..but this time they got greedy and got found out.. so take it as a warning

We have just returned from My Meric and we got a fantastic deal on this holiday. The hotel is new and modern looking, clean and quite welcoming. Most of the staff very friendly especially Chris (Mr. Spikey because of hair) on Reception. The rooms were very large, clean, everything you would want, safe, fridge, air con and clean towels and linen nearly every day and maid was lovley. Not so good, loud blaring music played at pool bar all day, sunbeds all on top of one another, unable to converse or read a book. The manager was not in the least bit interested in his guests, just eyeing up the young girls. Turkish mezes were very good, but sadly 14 days of chicken and meatballs disguised with sauces sometimes for lunch and dinner was even to much for me. Turunc is a beautiful village as are the local people and book any trips with J&M Travel in main street June and Murat and a trip on Mustis boat with Simba the dog is a day to remember. I have holidayed in Turunc very many times and feel that with the right Manager, My Meric could be turned around and a much better place to stay. The young lads do everything and work from 7am till 11pm probably 7 days a week and I feel that it is almost the end of season and they are really tired, but most of them bar 1 or 2 still managed to smile!!

We got to the hotel around 6pm after a up and down hill ride on minibus. First impressions of hotel, clean, tidy, nice to look at. Staff friendly and took our cases to our room. Room was lovely, air condition and we had clean bed linen every day and fresh towels each day that all smelt of lavender. The floor in room was disenfected each day.Tv well, all channels were in GERMAN. I was surprised they didnt have an english speaking option for us brits!! Food, we was very disappointed with the food in the hotel, we did read the reviews previous to our trip and prepared ourselves, but it wasnt enough as i was still shocked by what i saw. The meat look liked scraps, the hot food looked like slop. The salad i will say looked fresh but barely could see anything that looked appertising. my partner ha.ds eggs just about every day and i had a bowl of sugar puffs and chocolate spread on bread and there really wasnt much else to choose from for breakfast. Salad is out breakfast, dinner and tea, just represented at each part of day. Make sure you take pleny of spending money as you will get sick of it and eat out. i ate out alot and can recommend some great places. FRIAR TUCKS-say hi to Fazel for us. Fish and Chips shop run by Christine from Barnsley-there is a god.Gorgeous fish and chips just like home. Also Fidans restaurent along the beach and also the The Hun on same seafront. Village is beautiful and stunning and loved going on taxi boats to Icmeler and Marmaris. The weather was gorgeous hot and sunny all week. i would definately come back to turunc as great shops and bars and lovely beach, i would just choose different hotel next time because i dont expect to pay all inclusive and end up going self catering

The transfer from the airport was horrific in that the driving skills of the minibus driver were on par with most of the other drivers in Turkey; frightening! However daylight revealed Turunc and the hidden gem it truly is; a wonderful clean town with a great selection of bars and restaurants but nobody pestering you to try this or buy that etc.
The hotel, My Meric presented itself as very clean and modern but was only through the week that certain things that let it down could be seen. The room was spacious, had a great balcony and view and adequate air con. It was cleaned daily but the towels were not as clean as I expect and were still stained from their previous user! (Perhaps they need to discover Daz over there!).
The young staff worked extremely hard from first thing in the morning to last thing at night. They were pleasant and despite language limitation would always converse with you. Sometimes their choice in bar side music was too heavy in that they like rap music with bad language in it which I thought was innapropriate for the kids that were there. I did not like the bar manager who did nothing but flirt with young girl holidaymakers, swing from balcony's showing off and speak down to the young staff in front of people to emphasise his macho image; he was a complete pratt!
The food was very limited in choice compared to most holidays I've been on. It was prepared well but I discovered it was a management issue who had time and time again hit the chef with a cut to his budjet. It waS CHEAP ENOUGH IN TOWN TO HAVE A FEW MEALS THERE TO compensate.
I would not visit my meric again as there seems to be many alternative accommodation there in Turunc with better reviews from the community. It needs to review its management and sort itself out before I'd return. But a return to Turunc is a must!

Just back from 1 week in Turunc. We were pleasantly surprised by how good the hotel was. Its was very clean and tidy. The staff were brilliant, so friendly, helpful, nothing was too much trouble. 1 minor point was the limited choice of drinks that were in the all inclusive. Its in a beautiful quiet spot and I would most definately be happy to return there again there sometime.

as all other reviews really rooms and hotel spotless, cleaner come in every day and kept it quite nice. didnt like the idea of our sea facing balcony having a diesel generator stuck infront of it, and unfortuanately for me and my pregnant wife this generator was cutting in and out alot and was very loud and the smell of burnt diesel drifting into our room wasnt very nice, besides it waking us up at all sorts of times in the night and early morning. we asked for a change of room and staff didnt want to know at all. food was terrible not alot of choice at all i understand we are in turkey and its turkish food but we really couldnt find alot to eat.and would feel sorry for people taking children as i think they would have a nightmare. we only ate at the hotel 2 - 3 times max then spent the rest of our time eating out in some of the lovely restuarants. we can recommend the sahin restaurant down the main street who done us some lovely steaks and lamb chops also fryer tucks jumbo fish chips and mushy peas was out of this world and also there scampi was superb and very well priced. night life we spent moreless every night in the dream boys at the other end of the beach was very very entertaining and friendly superb service and what a great night. we would come back to turunc as we found it alot nicer than marmaris but would maybe try hotel turunc which everybody was full of praise for.

Just had two wonderful weeks at this hotel. I cannot understand why so many people complain about it. Our room was excellent plenty storage space, and a great view looking on to the bay, the maid came in every day and the linen was changed three times a week. The food was very good lots of choice and always nicely presented, lots of people moaned about the food but if you don't like Turkish food then don't come to Turkey or don't go All Incliusive. The staff were very friendly and helpful even though they people were being rude to them all the time. The resort is very quiet great for a total chill out holiday, but if you want lively night clubs then you can go to Icmeler or Marmaris.
