Highly recommended.

Jan 2012, dorit

Stayed with family of 5 (adult children) in 2 rooms on the 4th floor. (Half board). End of December 2011.
Both rooms were large and comfortable , very clean, large cabinets. Each room had a private balcony facing mountain view.
Hotel very well situated, between two main ski lifts at the top of the main road with river running in front.
Staff were very pleasant and helpful.
Very good food. Huge buffet breakfast (but no vegetables ) . Excellent supper: salad bar buffet , soup, choice of main course, dessert.
Overall – great value for money !
Loved the ski slopes, loved the town , loved hotel BRUCKE. Had an excellent stay , enjoyed every minute , will definitely return next year.

Burglary in the rooms and bad attitude!

Mar 2011, RSW6969

I just got back from stayin at Hotel Gasthof Brucke.
We had a burglary in our room at the hotel. The staff could not explain this and could see in their logg that there wasn't any other key-card used to access the room. The police made sure that there was no damage on window or balcony door. The police said that this means that you can access the room wihtout key and without breaking into the room.
The staff at Brucke handled this in a very bad way and had a really bad attitude.
When we talked to the staff there was another room that reported that everyting in their safe was gone.
So I will never ever stay there again.

I stayed at the Brucke in August 2008 on a last minute booking.
We also had one of the rooms that was still in need of refurbishment, after saying that it was very comfortable if a little shabby but spotlessly clean.
We were over the beer garden which was very lively but entertaining and as it stopped at about 10-10.30 caused us no problems.
The food was of a good standard for a three star hotel and the service excellent.
The owner made a point of walking round the dining area every evening to say hello to his guests which was a nice touch.
The bar area was lovely and again the Staff were excellent and mine host even bought us a drink.
The only downside was the receptionist who was quite abrupt and not particularly helpful and at times there was no one there at all.
I would happily return to the Brucke. I have also stayed at the Spa Strass Hotel and have to say that the service in the Bar area in the Brucke is far superior to the Strass, we called in there one evening and left after 15 minutes unable to find anyone to serve us.
All in all the Brucke is a lovely welcoming Hotel.

Generally well looked after at the hotel, but could have done with being told about all the facilities, such as where the garden was. We found it at the end of our stay. Never did find the Sauna and didn't realise there was one until looking at the advertisement on the side of the hotel. Haven't been on a package tour for ages as we generally go camping, and did miss not being able to have a kettle to make the early morning cup of tea. Friday and Saturday nights are very noisy with a disco which supposedly starts at 9 and finishes at 3 am, but which seemed to go on until at least 4 am and then everyone was leaving in taxis and it was a choice of too warm with the windows closed or too noisy with the windows open. But we could stand it for the two nights so not a major problem. More annoying was smoking in the hotel and the people in the next room smoking on their balcony which wafted into our room and the hotel, including the room we had did seem to have a smokey smell. However it was excellent value for money, and for anyone going for the first time I recommend getting in touch with Wiv Andersson who runs mini bus tours to places you wouldn't otherwise see - but be warned, if you don't like skinny roads with drop away views, don't go. Inghams could put you in touch with her. She made our holiday very special. I may have seemed to have a couple of gripes, but they were minor, and didn't detract from a thoroughly enjoyable stay in a fabulous location. good food, comfortable and clean hotel accommodation and friendly staff willing to help. Right in the centre of town, but not noisy. There was a festival on the Sunday which was small but entertaining, and we went to a music concert at the Europahaus on Monday which was excellent and finished with the concert band playing Strauss's Radetzsky march which was most appropriate.

Hotel well situated, at the top of...

Aug 2008, Mrs L Houghton

Hotel well situated, at the top of the main through road with river running in front. Beer garden style entertainment at the side of hotel with a small garden area above.
The hotel had been recently updated but I think we had one of the rooms which was still to be renovated. At first was disappointed that we had a room at the back of hotel but this turned out to be an advantage. Private balcony (sun trap) with views of the mountains, could listen to the bands playing in the evening from our balcony.
Staff very helpful, limited English. Food good (choice of main course). Very close to 2 cable cars options, not far to walk to bus and train station.
Only criticisms would be the garden was not very well kept with rabbits and guinea pigs in hutches that were too small. There were no signs (or map of facilities) in the hotel to tell you where anything was so had to keep asking. Found the sauna ( looked fantastic) on the next to last day but was not sure how to get anything working. We were given a ‘guest card’ on arrival, which gave discounts but with so little information in English it was difficult to know what or where we could use it.
Overall- great holiday. Loved the resort, the scenery, the walking. Lots to do if you are active. We purchased an ActiveCard, which gave unlimited use of buses and trains and a cable car ride up and down once a day. It pays for itself if used every day.
All public transport very good and easy to use. For the less active there are other hotels that have more facilities which may be more suitable.

Significant building work being...

Aug 2007, Mr BI McMullin

Significant building work being undertaken at the moment. Deliveries (building materials) during the day with workers on-site from 7:30 am Mon-Fri. Very noisy area around hotel with Disco nearby until 4am. Food good and rooms sparse but ok. Rooms 202-205 facing south down the valley offer excellent views. Staff friendly and helpful. Live entertainment Mon-Fri next door so noise levels quite high. The Ziller river runs past the front of the hotel which adds to the overall noise.
Good value hotel. When the works is completed and rooms refurbished it will be an excellent hotel.
