This is a wonderful place, with beautiful structures and very good services. The rooms and the chalet are very confortable and there are all that one person need, they are always clean and tidy up! The hotel offer a various opportunity for free time: the swimming pool is very beautiful, the beach is clean and there is the choise to do some sport (tennis, mountain bike, beach volley and gym). We celebrated our first anniversary in this hotel. My boyfriend surprised me with a weekend getaway and chose to stay here. We had a lovely time! We stayed for 2 nights from 24th May. Its a 2 hour drive from Dubai, not bad considering that we need to stop in the petrol station just right after Jebel Ali to have some food before we continued our journey. 5 Star hotel in the middle of nowhere… great for a mid week break, but go there on the weekend and its choka with families… The Room was nice and big, great view of the sea\beach, great bathroom, all the little touches are in there. We ate in the main restaurant which is buffet, for breakfast and one evening meal – I thought it was overpriced, the food was ok and the variety was good, but every dish had a sauce over it. Me and my partner stayed for a week at the Danat and absolutely loved it. There is nothing to do outside the resort which suited us perfectly, as we wanted to relax. The grounds, pool and staff are all lovely, the sea is VERY shallow!!! and lovely and warm, they have people clear the beach early each morning of any mess or sea weed! My husband and I and our 3 children (12, 10 and 5) stayed here for a week and we had a fantastic break. It is very relaxing and there really isn't much to do but that is the best thing about it. There is a selection of water sports on offer and we tried the banana boat which was fun. But we spent most of our time around the pool or on the beautiful beach and shallow waters of the Gulf. Stayed at the Danat Danat Resort for a weeknd break - it was a perfect getaway from the city and a lovely resort - it's about 3 1/2 - 4 hours drive from Dubai and very straighforward to get to. The hotel is failry small compared to likes of some of the Jumeriah beach resorts, but it's excellent in terms of service and accomodation. We stayed in a balcomy room which i think was the same in terms of layout as the standard rooms - it was a good size and had everything you's expect. My husband and I wanted a few days away in a very peaceful location and we were not disappointed. Although the journey time is around 2 hours it is certainly worth it. Rooms We chose a room with a balcony and would recommend you upgrade to this from the standard room although from what I saw tho rooms were otherwise identical. I would recommend you ask for a higher room number as these balconies get the sun in the morning if you like to sit out early. My partner and I were nervous about booking the danat resort as there were barely any views, however we had absolutely nothing to worry about as this was an incredible hotel and we had the most amazing holiday. The hotel sorted out our airport transfers and when we arrived we were warmly greeted with towels and lemon drinks. Everything was made so easy and as soon as we arrived we fell into holiday mode! Things went from bad to worse to terrible while staying at this "resort". I stayed at this hotel over the Eid holiday with my sister & her husband. 1. When calling to book the room, we were told that there were no rooms with 2 queen size beds. We inquired about getting a cot in a room with 1 queen size bed and were informed that they only had "baby cots" available that were only suitable for children.
