Best Western Oliveto Hotel

Stayed here for a week recently and would recommend it. The hotel is situated only 10-15 minutes walk from the town centre which is ideal as it is away from the noise and hustle and bustle at night and the walk is by the lake. Our hotel room was a bit 'basic' as in it was adequate for our needs but looked and felt dated, although the bathroom appeared to be new and updated. We had a balcony overlooking the outdoor swimming pool and the lake. The staff were polite and spoke good english. Breakfast was typically european, ie croissants, toast, butter, cheese, cake (!) but it was more than adequate. Would recommend this hotel certainly for it's location and overall ideal for any couple on a week or two week stay.

Our week's stay at the Oliveto was disappointing. We travelled with Thomsons. The rooms were small, the swimming pool so very cold, breakfasts rather limited, the evening meals were inadequate and very boring, and no room in the reception area to sit for a drink. Certainly not a 4T hotel by past experiences.

Hotel is situated within walking distance of the beach and town center in a quiet area. The lake is barely visable from the hotel. The rooms are extremely small with extremely small bathrooms. There appears to be no soundproofing so that even the slightest noise could be heard throughout the floor. The prices are much too high for the value of the hotel. When I mentioned this to management, they dismissed me without comment.
