The room was at the top of the building with sloping ceilings which caused a few bumps. Found dangerous electric wires when moved the bed looking for an earring! (see pic) However it was spacious and the view of the sea was wonderful. The bathroom let it down, it was... more

My Fiance and i returned from the sun maris beach hotel on the 28th June 2008. Would not go back if you paid me to!!! This is the noisiest place i have ever been. Three bars right next to the hotel play their music and blow whistles till 3 or 4 in the morning. It then goes quiet for an hour or so before all the young groups return to the hotel and run around screaming and shouting and banging on doors. It doesn't help that there is a 24 hour shop in reception. Great if you can survive on one or two hours sleep per night for the whole week!... more

we stayed at the sun maris beach hotel at the end of june this year .when we got ther the room its self wasnt to bad but we went in to the bathroom and the stench was awfull ther wer black stain on the shower curtain the drains wer totally blocked you had to keep turning the shower of as it kept blocking they wer going to change our room but when we seen the new room it was just as bad .it was meant to be all inclusive but we ate in ther bout 3 times the food was awfull and the alcohol was even worse you could only drink all inclusive till... more

Upon arriving at the sun maris beach at 9.45pm we were told we were staying in an 'annexe', this turned out to be another hotel. the so called 'tower of terror' sunflower hotel. Upon refusing for 45mins that we werent staying here, they gave us two rooms in the sun maris beach. As the photos show it was horrendous. There was sick on the stairs leading up to them, smashed drains, clogged with hair and filthy floors. The next day we had our bathroom thoroughly cleaned as rest of room was ok, although everytime you shwoer the bathroom floor... more

Excellant holiday but hotel left ALOT to be desired. Arrived late at night to be told we were stayin at the 'other buildin'- HA! the bell boy quite kindly took our bags accross to what was knicknamed throughout our stay as the tower of terror. (sunflower hotel). Upon refusing qite strongly to stay here we were eventually given a 'suite' (family room) when we had booked two seperate rooms. Just Arrived back from Sun Maris Beach Hotel Marmaris Never again Was supposed to be All inclusive only drinks you could have were raki, vodka, gin, wine, cheap cola, lemonade and orange. Drinks machine always tasted funny of cleaning fluid. Food was absolutely disgusting had tomato sandwiches for a week. Staff just laughed when you complained. We were LUCKY our room wasn't too bad but our friends room had no shower tray and only half shower curtain so flooded bathroom all the time. Try drying your hair with a hair dryer... more

If you want to have no sleep and lose 2 stone in a week then this is the Ritz! We arrived at the Sun Maris Beach, after being relocated from the Sun Maris Park (Hotel Ayderia when we originally booked in October 2007) to find a nice looking hotel. But looks were very deceiving!! Upon arrival we decided to have a drink at the pool bar, not realising that this was the only bar in the whole hotel. The drinks were all served in cheap, plastic cups that you would give to kids. The beer was like water and the soft drinks had a nasty after taste... more

Worst hotel ever. Water ran out 3 times in 2. weeks. The hot water also ran out regularly.The pool’s WC sinks leaked flooding the area inside and outside of the building, it took 10 days to mend. There was a bloody plaster stuck to the tiles, it was there when we arrived and there when we left. There was bird muck on the walls it hadn't been cleaned. Never any loo roll. Turkısh people very frıendly, hellpfull. From the mınute of the arrıval to the end of holıday the staff that work at the SUN MARIS BEACH HOTEL were very helpfull and kınd. Plenty of dıfferent kınd tastefull food. Good locatıon (beach 3 mınutes walk) and easy acces to all amentatıes. The resort was good value for money. Good for couples, famılıes and sıngles all ages. The Sun Maris is a chain in Marmaris of 3 hotels - The Sun Maris City, Sun Maris Beach and Sun Maris Park.....When we did finally arrive at the correct hotel (Sun Maris Beach) we were not even booked into the system, therefore we were waiting around for 10-15 minutes whilst the rep and the manager of the hotel went into the office to sort this out.
