Me and my partner have just got back from sidari and already we are missing it. we had a great time and i would recommend to any couple. we are 18 & 22 and loved it.
The Hotel is located in a quiter part of sidari and is about a 5 minute walk down the dirt track / main road which leads to the main strip and beach.
The Hotel is beautiful. Rooms are quite basic but have everything you need for a self catering holiday. The pool is cleaned everyday and the water slides are a laugh.
The only bad thing i can say about this hotel was the staff, even though they are very friendly they are also quite annoying. They walk around the pool side every 10 minutes asking if you are ok and would like anything from the bar. i suppose some people like this but it just gets a little annoying after a while. especially when youve just drank your drink and ask if you want a re-fill. Eddie is a great laugh tho he pushed us in the pool a few times. he likes to get everyone together.
Apart from that this was one of the best holidays i have been on and i will definatley be returning to these apartments.
There is so much to do in sidari. i would recommend, Theo's Boat Trip (great laugh, BBQ & drinks all day cost around 40 euro). Aqualand was amazing too that only cost around 20 euros. I Would recommed the restuarant across from the supermarket near the hotel.
Hope you have a Good Time because we did!

Resort - The Canal d'Amour is worth...
6 / 10
Sep 2008, Mr I Penycate

Resort - The Canal d'Amour is worth looking at once, but the beach really wasn't as its pretty much just thin scruffy greyish sand that isn't kept that clean -if you like nice beaches then stick with the Algarve. The resort isn't huge and is a bit like a mini-Blackpool (probably to be expected as it is a tourist thing). There were some fairly decent restaurants and bars but really it was pretty uninteresting overall and hard not to be bored after a few hours out at night. Mosquetos are a major problem. I have never been a "victim" before but this species obviouly found me to their liking. Over two weeks I accumulated about 40 bites - despite using repellent. Many of the bites swelled into bright red lumps up to 2" in diameter.
Apartments - Before booking I read that the complex was either 50m or 100m from the beach (depending on where the info was) but the truth is that it's about 1/2 mile at least. Also it said that the main resort was 500m away. Maybe thats true, but it felt a lot longer as it was at least 200m just to the main road. The actual apartments though were well equiped, clean and tidy. My only complaint is that the shower-room was quite small and the floor drain ineffective, meaning you stood in water after using the shower (which is a tray not flat floor shower). The shower cubicle itself was the smallest standard one that we have in England - which is ok for a night or two but tedious when used for for two weeks and if you are remotely fat, I couldn't imagine how you would cope. Externally is a lovely complex with very helpful staff and, as the guides say, you will always find a sun-bed. I think that if the complex was picked up and put into another, nicer resort, and a larger shower tray fitted (there is just about room), then it would be a great place to stay in.
Summary - Very disappointing resort and nice but flawed apartments. Definitely would not ever return.

Just had two weeks at the Sidari...

Just had two weeks at the Sidari Waterpark which we thought was fantastic. The staff cannot do enough for you, they are so friendly and enjoy having a laugh with the guests. Angelo, Sokratis and Marco were the nicest people. The kids thought it was great fun watching guests being squirted by a member of staff.. who was hiding behind a tree with a water pistol, then walking by all innocent!
The apartments were cleaned everyday, ( tiny shower in bathroom) they all overlook the lovely clean pool, the slides are great fun and a lifeguard is present at all times... and best of all, NO FIGHTING FOR SUNBEDS!! (could do with a few more umbrellas though)
If I went there again, which is very likely, i wouldn't go for the halfboard option as the menu gets a bit boring after a week, overall, it is a really lovely, friendly place to stay.

We were very impressed, modern, clean...

We were very impressed, modern, clean apartments, with adequate self catering facilities. Fridge with icebox, two ring electric hob, toaster and kettle etc. The maid came to clean the rooms every day and she worked really hard. Bottled water was available in the rooms on arrival with loo roll in the bathroom. The hospitality was excellent, the staff were very approachable and nothing was too much trouble. The food available was a very good standard, and room service was available. Shops and facilities were only two minutes away, set back from the main resort, the Water Park Apartments provided us with a nice quiet family holiday setting, with easy access to all the local facilities, this helped to keep my two teenagers happy all week..!
Entertainment was laid on some evenings after consultation with the guests, and it was really family friendly. The Greek Night was a great success, and my children loved that fact that we won the quiz night. The Park is open to the public at a small cost yet remained very quiet, and we did not have to dash for the sun beds in the morning.
We were so impressed that we have booked to go again this year.
