A truely Austrian Hotel with excellent service, food and accommodation. We took our holiday not knowing where we were staying and we were not in the least disappointed. We have taken many holidays in the past but never had such good service or warm welcome. We would most certainly return to this hotel.
The town of Zell is full of things to do and see. The railway and buses connect with many places of interest such as Glossglockner Glacier, Krimmell Waterfalls and many other small villages which are worth a visit. Saltzberg is not far away.
There are swimming areas around the lake and it is an easy walk around the lake which takes about 2 1/2 hours at a leisurely pace, with refreshment venues en-route. A boat runs daily trips around the lake and is worth doing as is the cablecar to the top of the mountain where you can watch or participate in paragliding. A small airport runs sightseeing flights and there is sailing and windsurfing on the lake, so all in all what ever your age there is plenty to occupy you in this resort.

Was very impressed by the hotel, facilities, and the town of Zell. We arrived as group of 12 (11 skiers & me, the boarder) to a warm welcome and were looked after till the moment we left.
Rooms were good, shower great and food was spot on with plenty of choice and variation. The Sportstüberl bar is a great place to wind down after a day on the slopes, with all our group round one table.
The resort is ideal for skiers/boarders of all levels with plenty of variation of runs.
Advanced skiers/boarders might want to make their way to the Schmittenhöhebahn side of the mountain, as this provides some nice testing runs through tree lines. Try to go same week as the festival of balloons, as this was a good night’s entertainment for free.
Fingers crossed Sauze d'Oulx in 2008 comes close to this resort.
All in all a good hotel, in a good resort, with friendly people. I couldn't have hoped for
more and I look forward to returning.
